Madison Rayne

[1.0] "Ich kenne sie nur aus AEW und da ist sie keine Bereicherung. Sie sieht in die Jahre gekommen aus, ist aber im Ring trotzdem allerhöchstens mittelmäßig. Ich kann ihr nichts abgewinnen. Sie hat keine Ausstrahlung und auch keinerlei Charakter oder Profil."

[4.0] "Never a good wrestler, never had a good match in her career that was one on one, she was never good, surprised by her high rating for how mediocre she is, all I can say is that she's a better trainer than an actual wrestler or whoever she trains is screwed."

[2.0] "I can't comment on what she does backstage, except to say that the AEW women's division has improved since she arrived. Whether that was due to her, or just the natural byproduct of them getting more talent is hard to say. If I'm just rating her on in-ring ability and charisma, I've got to rate her poorly. She hasn't been good at all in AEW. No charisma, no in-ring ability, there's not much to hold on to here with her."

[2.0] "I'm sorry but... what? Huh? What? THIS person is a wrestling trainer? You're telling me that this person is really a trainer, despite clearly having 0 talent as a wrestler herself? That's very interesting. Rayne's skills are pretty terrible. Her attacks have 0 impact, she often has very sloppy technique, and she isn't remotely natural or comfortable as she moves around the ring and interacts with her opponents. She's been embarrassingly bad for a long time, but it's especially noticeable now that she's in AEW where, in kayfabe AND in real life, she's being pushed as this supposed 'veteran' capable of honing the next generation of female talent. I'm sure Rayne has 17 years of experience in *something*, but it doesn't look like it's in wrestling. I can only imagine she gets ratings above a 4/10 because maybe some people think her heel character work in Impact was mildly okay, but I never thought she had any work that was close to worthwhile in that regard either. She really offers nothing, and she just makes the AEW women's division look like even larger of a joke when she's so involved both on the screen and behind the scenes."

[3.0] "She was really bad in Impact and was carried by Angelina Love and Velvet Sky, bad wrestlers with a lot of charisma. She can do basic stuff, so I'm giving her a basic rating"

[8.0] "A very fun wrestlers to watch. Has a great mix of speed and technical skill. Always fun to see hit some good counters. People often talk about the Knockouts being a bright spot for Impact well Madison has been in some of the better matches for that division."

[9.0] "Career Accomplishments: 3/3: Rayne? s most notable accomplishment is being a 5x KO champion. An impressive statistic especially considering that she had many multi-month reigns during a period when TNA hot-potatoed the title. Not to mention, one of her reigns made her the longest-reigning KO champ for well over a year. Promo Ability: 2/2: As both a heel and a face, Rayne was able to show how versatile of a talker she is. As a whiny, bratty, or disgruntled heel or a comeback queen, Rayne? s promos helped further her character and storylines. Wrestling Ability: 1/2: Make no mistake, Rayne is a very gifted wrestler. Stories were told in the ring, and the way she won matches worked with her gimmick. Be that as it may, her moveset didn? t feature a move that looked all that serious. Rather consisting of moves that were painful if one thought about what it would do. In-ring style: 2/2: Working primarily as a cowardly heel, her in-ring style furthered the success of her gimmick. Star factor: 1/1: Having been a mainstay in the KO division for over a decade, Rayne has earned her reputation as a veteran. She worked in high profile angles as a member of The Beautiful People, alliances with Tara and Karen Jarrett/Gail Kim, and her multiple title reigns give Rayne an aura of importance. Overall score: 9/10"

[4.0] "Never seen the appeal with this girl. In ring work feels hollow & her character is a total cliche. She brings nothing fresh or exciting to the role."

[6.0] "Langsam weiß ich auch nicht mehr wie oft sie Impact verlassen hat und wieder zurückkam. Ist im Ring solide und auch schon richtig lange im Wrestling aktiv. Lustig wie sie in einem aktuellen Around The Ring Interview von ihrem Mann interviewt wurde und da In Gimmick bleiben musste."

[8.0] "Cagematch needs to get back to patrolling the site for double accounts. As soon as one person gives a low score, then "coincidentally", a whole group swarms in of the same scores from out of the blue like a phony hivemind. Madison Rayne has had a long career, from SHIMMER, to Impact Wrestling/TNA, to RoH, and the May Young Classic. She is best known for her characters, but she has never been a genuinely bad worker. She has strong matches, cuts good promos, and is versatile as a heel or face. All in all, she has worked her butt off for quite a few years, and deserves the career resurgence of the past year"

[4.0] "Most closely associated with TNA/Impact, Madison Rayne has had a bit of a career renaissance in the last year or so, having recently competed not only for Impact, but also for ROH, WWE (Mae Young Classic) and the independent ALL IN event. She does well enough in her character work - and is probably at her best playing her heel Beautiful People gimmick - but while she isn't bad in the ring, for her level of experience her ring work seems to have been passed by by many similarly (or even less) experienced performers."

[4.0] "Nothing spectacular. That alone means she was the best worker in the Beautiful People. She gets more praise for not being God awful like the rest of them than actually being really good."

[2.0] "I agree with one of the comments below - "tons of people put her on this high pedestal because she is pretty" - except for one thing: They are wrong, she is objectively not pretty (same with the other ironcially named "Beautiful People"). She's thin and has had a boob job. Thin + fake boobs is not the same as beautiful. No modelling agency, anywhere, would ever hire her. Therefore, she is not pretty. Most importantly though, as other previous posts allude to, she cannot be taken seriously as a wrestler. She's always been just awful in the ring. I've only given her these two points for her development of one memorable heel gimmick, and overall, being pretty good at character development/acting/on the mic. I'd give her more if she'd stuck to being a valet and stayed the hell out of the ring!"

[4.0] "There's a reason she was a part of the Beautiful People. To surround her with other bad female wrestlers at a time when TNA had the roster to have a great Women's division. She's mediocre in ring at best."

[8.0] "Solid in ring performer but should be a bit better considering the number of years she has been in the wrestling biz. However, she has accomplished more than a lot of workers with about the same level of experience. Works much better as a heel mainly because of her mic work in that role. Good career in TNA and one half of the first tag team champs in Shimmer. A joy to watch in both promotions and don't think she is done yet."

[7.0] "I think Madison can hold her own in the ring, and when she's heel she can play that snobby "queen" role perfectly. However, she NEVER needs to be face. She is not very likable, and it's hard to ever feel sympathetic towards her considering all she has done when she was a heel. Overall, she is a solid performer."

[10.0] "In my opinion Madison Rayne was one of the best knockouts of all time , is for its skill to be a great heel or have a great charisma and able to speak into the microphone , unfortunately it seems that their time is over and will not return to be the same from before..."

[3.0] "Madison Rayne is a strong character as a bad girl, mostly when it comes to her promo work. Her ring work is very modest, although she's gotten a lot better recently, it's still not up to par. She's just not good enough for how long she's been a professional wrestler, shame really, as she has a very loud and bright persona."

[6.0] "Madison Rayne is a tough one to rate. She's terrible as a babyface but, pretty good as a heel. Madison Rayne's character includes her wearing a tiara to the ring and wearing a "pageant queen" banner over her chest. This role actually is a play on Madison Rayne being the prom queen at her High School graduation. This is actually real and legit to how Madison got her character. Madison to me, looked out of place with Angelina and Velvet but, once she got her own identity in 2010, she ended up being a decent knockout all things considered."

[6.0] "Was das Schauspielerische angeht, macht ihre keine wirklich was vor. Sie kann ihren Charakter (zumindest als Heel, aber sie ist ja sowieso fast seit vier Jahren durchgängig Heel) immer hervorragend verkaufen. Leider gefällt sie mir optisch nicht mehr, seitdem sie sich für ihre Bodybuilding-Contests so enorm runtergehungert hat. Im Ring nachwievor recht ausbaufähig."

[10.0] "I give Madison Rayne a ton of credit and praise where it's due and deserved! She went from being the least popular out of the Beautiful People stable to being multiple time knockouts and knockouts tag team champion and she was the best heel female wrestler on the TNA roster at one point! And ever since 2010 when she started becoming that awesome heel she was, I've been a big fan and supporter of Madison Rayne through and through! Whether she's a heel or a babyface, Madison has always had such a great persona on TV and I love her work in the ring as well! I honestly feel she's one of the best female in-ring performers in wrestling today!"

[6.0] "Da ich jetzt schon einige Zeit nix mehr von ihr gesehen hab schwierig zu beurteilen. Talent hat sie, am Mic ist sie gut und ihr freches Gimmick passt zu ihrer vergleichsweißen geringen Größe. Und da sie noch recht jung ist, gibts bestimmt noch überraschungen. Derweil lass ichs mal bei 6 Punkten"

[5.0] "UPDATE: Spielt ihr Gimmick als nerviger Heel wahnsinnig gut, auch ihr Mic-Work ist in dem Fall sehr stark. Zudem als Queen grandios. Und gutes Aussehen ist auch mit dabei :) Aber (und hier kommt das Update) im Ring seit Jahren keine Weiterentwicklung, eher schwach und leider nicht sehenswert. Schade!"

[8.0] "Im Ring ist sie zwar ausbaufähig, hat aber ein anständiges Gimmick, Micwork und sieht wirklich nicht verkehrt aus. In der WWE würde sie fast alle in die Tasche stecken, bei TNA gibts dann doch noch Damen, die mir insgesamt besser gefallen."

[6.0] "Im Ring hat sie mir wirklich nie gefallen, hat aber ein gutes Gimmick und sticht hervor. Hat sich echt gemacht wenn man daran denkt wie sie so war, als sie bei den Beautiful People eingeführt wurde."

[8.0] "Wrestlerisch noch ausbaufähig, aber gehört auf jeden Fall zu den Besseren. Wenn es um Charisma, Inszenierung und Promos geht, gibt es für mich derzeit keine Bessere in den Major-Ligen."

[6.0] "Sie war mal eine der bestaussehendsten Frauen im Business, welche auch durchaus über solide In Ring Fähigkeiten verfügt hat. Aber momentan sieht sie schrecklich aus... abgemagert, eingefallenes Gesich... ein Schatten ihrer früheren selbt! Obendrein konnte sie sich in letzter Zeit auch in Promos oder im Ring kaum wirklich auszeichnen. Mit ihr gehts leider richtig bergab, wie eigentlich mit der gesamten Knockout Division. Mehr als befriedigend kann ich ihr leider nicht mehr geben"

[8.0] "Ordentliches Heel-Knockout. Im Ring gibt es sicher bessere aber bringt ihren Charakter gut rüber. Außerdem für mich eine der attraktivsten Damen im Wrestling."

[4.0] "Eine der besseren Knockouts, ihr Look ist natürlich grandios und auch am Mic hat sie nach anfänglicher Schwäche viel dazu gelernt. Nervig ist leider - genau wie bei Velvet - das Gekreische und gegen wrestlerisch schwache Gegner lässt sie sich meist mit runterziehen. UPDATE: Im Vergleich zum Juli '10 muss ich meine Meinung etwas revidieren. Leider sind ihre In-Ring Fähigkeiten deutlich begrenzt, sie kann technisch kaum groß was zeigen, da passt es dass sie nun einen Knockout-Blow Finisher bekommen hat. Aber: Ihr Beauty-Queen Gimmick dass sie seit ein paar Wochen hat ist sensationell, sehr passend. Trotzdem muss ich von 7 auf 5 Punkte gehen. UPDATE: Februar 2011 noch 5 Punkte, jetzt muss ichs weiter nach unten korrigieren. Ihr Look ist weiter großartig und Mic-Skills sowie Gimmick passen weiter, aber im Ring ist sie mittlerweile einfach unterirdisch, das ist ja fast nur noch Gebrawle. Kaum zu glauben aber sie hat seit ihrem Debüt für mich kontinuierlich und eklatant wrestlerisch abgebaut. Die 4 Punkte sind noch extrem großzügig."

[7.0] "Hat während der Zeit als Championesse enorm an Leistung zugelegt und ist daran gewachsen. Auch wenn die Niederlage gegen Mickie nach einem 30 Sekunden Match unnötig war..."

[10.0] "Sie ist als Heel einfach grandios. Und außerdem noch sehr hübsch. Sozusagen Vickie Guerrero in hübsch."

[5.0] "Ein weiterer Fall von einer richtig schlechten Workerin, die sich endlich ein wenig gesteigert hat. Trotzdem verstehe ich die doch etlichen Titelgewinne des TNAW Knockouts Titels nicht im geringsten. Aber das ist ein anderes Kapitel."

[10.0] "Finde das Sie momentan die beste Knockout ist! Ihr nerviges Heel Gimmick ist Grandios, hoffe sie bekommt einen weiteren Titel-Run. Vom Aussehen her die Natürlichste!"

[4.0] "Es gibt schon ein paar Unterschiede zwischen gutem Heel und nervigen Heel den keiner sehen will. Madison rutscht für mich in die nervige Zone ab. Im Ring ist sie in Ordnung aber nur solide langt mir einfach nicht. Vom Aussehen her hat sie sich sehr verbessert. Luft nach oben dürfte vorhanden sein. Nur müsste man was daraus machen und nicht auf der Stelle treten."

[5.0] "Finde sie recht furchtbar. Besser im Ring als Velvet und Lacey, aber was heißt das? Furchtbarer Stil, auch optisch nicht mein Fall. Nachtrag: Hat sich im Laufe der Zeit gebessert."

[6.0] "Wirkte zu Beginn bei den Beautiful People noch wie das fünfte Rad am Wagen, hat sich dann aber als Solo-Wrestlerin durchsetzen können. Dennoch finde ich sie etwas langweilig und bei weitem nicht so toll wie Mickie James, Tara, Velvet Sky und Angelina Love. Dass sie derzeit einen Lauf in der KO-Division hat mag ja schön und gut sein, aber als Championess möchte ich sie dann doch nicht mehr sehen."

[6.0] "Ich bin kein großer Madison Rayne fan. Ich finde es unfair das sie in TNA so hoch gepuscht wird obwohl es dort 10 Mal talentiertere Knockouts gibt. ABer sio ist es & wird es immer bleiben das man mit Aussehen & einem netten Lächeln viel erreichen kann."

[8.0] "TNA Aufsteigerin des Jahres! Der Heel Turn mit Tara gegen die Beautiful People war ihr engültiger Durchbruch. Madison ist der geborene Heel Character und wird im Ring immer besser."

[7.0] "Für mich die Aufsteigerin 2010 in TNAs Knockout-Division. Hat in eigentlich allen Bereichen große Fortschritte in den letzten Monaten gemacht."

[9.0] "Die größte Überraschung in der Knockouts-Division. Von einem unscheinbaren, scheinbar nicht workenden Anhängsel der Beautiful People zu einem unglaublich guten Heel."

[6.0] "Eine der besseren Diven bei TNA. Mal schauen wie weit sie kommen wird."

[2.0] "1. 000 $ Body, kann aber nicht für 50 Cent arbeiten. Grauenvoll im Ring und stümpert sich damit durch die TNA Ringe. Nur die gute Von Erich ist noch schlimmer."

[9.0] "Seit ihrem Titelgewinn hat sie sich erheblich weiterentwickelt. Wrestlerisch definitiv die Beste der "Beautiful People". Hat mittlerweile auch an Persönlichkeit und Charisma dazugewonnen."

[10.0] "Madison has improved so damn amazingly. When she started in TNa she wasnt exactly the one to watch, however over time she has shown that she is ready to be THE heel of the Knockouts"

[6.0] "Sie ist eher durchschnittlich für ein Knockout aber immer noch besser als so manche Diven."

[5.0] "Gefällt mir besser als ihre Kollegin Lacey von Erich bei den Beutiful Peoples. Hat zwar noch vieles zu lernen bspw. Mic Work und In Ring Fähigkeiten ist aber auch noch jung und denke mal das sie auch noch fr längere Zeit erhalten bleibt. 5 Punkte bisher, aber mal sehen wie die Sache in ein paar Jahren aussieht."

[5.0] "Hat mir bei Shimmer eigentlich ganz gut gefallen. Bein TNA wirkt sie etwas wie ein Fremdkörper bei den BP und konnte dort auch noch nicht soviel zeigen im Ring."

[7.0] "Wrestlerisch ziemlich gut, der erste Eindruck am Mikro ist gut aber da muß noch mehr kommen. Ihre neue "Wuschelfrisur" macht sie für mich zu einem Blickfang."

[7.0] "Die zweit "Beste" in den BP. Da Love nicht mehr in den BP ist, ist die die #1. Wrestlisch steht sie den anderen beiden im nichts nach."

[5.0] "Wrestlerisch können mich die Beautiful People nicht ganz überzeugen. Rayne ist jedoch nach Sky die beste der drei und immerhin arbeiten sie an sich. 5 Punkte!"

[4.0] "Bei TNA gefällt sie mir, va. auf Grund des Bookings, leider nicht halb so gut wie bei SHIMMER, dort war sie durchaus brauchbar bei TNA leider nur mangelhaft -> 4 Punkte, vom Pontenziall könnten es aber durchaus mehr sein."

[7.0] "Muss noch viel an sich arbeiten und die schwächste der BP, aber das heißt ja nicht gleich schlecht!"

[4.0] "Sie ist hübsch und nicht untalentiert, muss aber noch stark an sich arbeiten! Sie muss sowohl an der Ausstrahlung und am Mic-Work, als auch an ihren In-Ring Fähigkeiten arbeiten. Wie gesagt, ich denke sie hat noch Potenzial, allerdings wirkt(e) sie neben Love und Sky noch zu sehr wie eine Nebenerscheinung."

[8.0] "Hübsches Girl mit großem Talent, das sie aber sichelich noch nicht voll ausgeschöpft hat. Sie sollte in naher Zukunft in der Lage sein eine gute Rolle bei TNA zu spielen. Wird bei den BP leider immer wieder etwas schwach dargestellt."

[6.0] "Also sie passt zu TBP und sobald man sie mal nicht als riene Jobberin bookt, sondern als ernsthafte Wrestlerin, dann wird sie auch überzeugender wirken. Bei Shimmer jedenfalls war sie durchaus brauchbar (und sah durch den etwas natürlicheren Look auch noch etwas heisser aus)."

[7.0] "Passt sehr gut zu den BP. Sollte ähnlich wie Sky auf längere Sicht gesehen auch vom Ausscheiden Loves profitieren. Noch sehr jung, daher kann man sicher noch viel von ihr erwarten."

[10.0] "Hübsches Gesicht, im Ring nicht die schlechteste. Das passt."

[5.0] "Gefällt mir noch nicht, weder im Ring noch außerhalb. Hat als Mitglied der BF auch nie wirklich funktioniert. Mal sehen, was da in Zukunft noch kommt."

[9.0] "Sieht nicht schlecht aus, aber bei SHIMMER hat sie mir besser gefallen. Trotzdem denke ich das sie bei TNA noch einiges ereichen kann und bei den Beautiful People muss sie sich vielleicht erst noch einleben, Aber dann hoffe ich das sie richtig loslegt."

[8.0] "Ist wirklich gut im Ring, kann sowohl einstecken als auch austeilen. Sieht zudem noch prima aus und ist noch sehr jung. Alles zusammen ergibt das eine hervorragende Kombination. Von ihr werden wir (hoffentlich) noch viel hören und das nicht nur in der Indy-Szene."
