[4.0] "Never cared for tag teams of identical twins or guys made to look near identical. Doug and Danny Basham were more or less the Harris Brothers revisited, but probably better in the ring."
[6.0] "A solid tag team guy with storyline brother and former rival Danny Basham; Doug never quite had a career that matched his potential. During his WWE run, there was a quiet buzz about his previous work from OVW. He was considered a talented grappler. This showed at times, but I cannot help but feel he never got to show what he really had to offer. Still, one cannot scoff at multiple tag title reigns. The Bashams were a strong bread and butter heel tag team (plus bondage)."
[6.0] "Doug Basham gained some notice for his abilities as a technical grappler while still a developmental prospect in OVW, notably wrestling a visiting Chris Benoit while under the name "the Machine. " When brought up to the main WWE roster, though, he was seldom able to showcase his technical skill, instead being cast as a tag wrestler alongside "brother" Danny Basham (fellow OVW alum the Damaja), and the team in turn normally being cast as enforcers, such as their time in JBL's Cabinet or as Paul Heyman's security team in the early days of the ECW brand. Doug's lack of personality likely would have insured he would remain a midcard talent, but if WWE had invested a bit more time in him he could probably have been more than he was."
[6.0] "Like Danny 'Damaja' Basham, Doug Basham was a solid worker who had potential as a midcard heel, a guy who could get a babyface over on the way up. But the wrong gimmick put paid to that idea and a guy who was far better than most people realize never got the run his talent deserved."
[2.0] "I remember Jim Cornette being very high on the Basham Brothers in multiple shoot interviews he gave and how the WWE screwed them up but, I never really saw it. They had opportunities with being paired up with JBL in his "Cabinet" and had a lot matches with Eddie Guerrrero and Rey Mysterio and they never really got over and just lacked... something and I don't know what it was and we'll never know."
