Apart from the laughably bad "Best In The World" gimmick, Shane had some really good moments in his career especially during the Attitude Era, and I believe that he is the best McMahon in-ring that isn't named Triple H (obviously Triple H is the best in-ring in the entire family). Shane took some incredible bumps during his time as a wrestler and he was actually a quite likeable authority figure until he turned heel with the previously said gimmick."

From him almost ruining the 2022 Royal Rumble to his awful yet hilarious return at WrestleMania 39 where he got injured within seconds he's just not what he thinks he is. He has the worst worked punches in wrestling history and watching Matt Riddle someone with legit MMA experience having to sell them was embarrassing I'm just glad that Brock Lesnar was having none of it. I hope he has no further involvement with the WWE either in ring or backstage."

Anyways, while I detest his run as a heel in 2019, didn't care much for his 2016 - 2018 run, he was a lot of fun to watch in the Attitude Era, doing fun spots and throwing terribly worked punches (LOL! ), he at least was a decent wrestler who was able to have great moments, even if he has won rivalries he shouldn't have."

As long as you are competent and believable, you'll get the job done. Now its clear that Shane McMahon wouldn't have had the career he did without his dad's help, but Shane has always played a believable daredevil well. He's probably up there as a top 10 bump guy of all time. He got carried to great matches with people like Styles, Owens and Angle. He doesn't have the best strikes in the business, and the Best in the World character didn't really do much besides bury Elias and get the Miz's dad on an indie show. While Shane has had his fair share of moments, but he's a legend in my book."

His late years have also been really bad. Vince was way better at 50 yrs old as a wrestler. Anyway, Shane in the Attitude era gets an 8, Shane in the late years gets a 3."

However, as a mud-show, plunder brawler and out-of-the-ring menace, he is straight up there with Mick Foley and late Era Funk. There are very few who can go out there and knock it out of the park against some of the biggest names in wrestling history when the bases are loaded like Shane McMahon does. And a big part of that is that there is nothing that he won't do or no risk he won't take to ensure that the fans who watch his matches leave with something to talk about. He both represented the over-shadowed son and the powerful wealthy son, but due too many changes back and forth this relationship to his father didn't reach its full potential. Ever since his comeback in 2016 his on-air character is a mess. He is NOT a wrestler, yet he gets pushed much more strongly than many actual wrestlers, unfairly taking up spots that would be better served by many other people. I don't care about his character arc in WWE. The guy puts on terrible matches and pushes actually talented wrestlers further down the card. Having him go toe-to-to at Wrestlemania with AJ Styles of all people was absurd, and now after Survivor Series where he of all people was chosen to be pushed as the Smackdown sole survivor (or to at least bury the title of 'solve survivor, either or) was an awful decision. Literally every other wrestler on that Smackdown team deserved that spot 10 times more than Shane did. And the way he fought off a fresh Owens and Zayn ambush attack and sent them cowering away was absurd. It made Owens and Zayn look like total jokes and made Shane look unnecessarily resilient and strong. It doesn't matter how WWE attempts to justify it, a guy this old and this devoid of talent does not deserve the spotlight. He's also incredible awkward on the mic, constantly tripping over his words or giving very random inflections in his delivery. Outside of a few memorable big spots he offers nothing and only prohibits other wrestlers getting pushed."

Just amateur and hilarious almost like comedy shows. He is just nothing but a spot monkey. His mic work is so-so, meh most of the time.

Even cant get the basics right, botching numerous times and knocking himself cold in the Survivor Series match. A liability in the ring for botgh himself and his opponents as well. Also, seems to lose only after making a huge mistake in his spots, eg jumping of the cell or the coast to coast or the shooting star press which further weakens his opponents in our eyes. Coming to the big spots, his spot-monkeying is probably the only thing which we can enjoy. Still not enough to get more than the 0."

I don't mean to hate on the guy, but he's never been a good wrestler. How could he have been, considering that's never been the focus of his career? His offense is unwatchable, especially his strikes, and his selling is downright goofy. The one thing he's got going for him is surprising agility and a willingness to murder himself for his craft. Now, that does earn him some respect in my book, but it doesn't earn him a good rating. Thankfully, his promo skills are much better than his wrestling, and he does have the kind of defiant babyface fire that makes you want to keep watching. He'd be a good face GM, all things considered. But I've seen the last Shane McMahon match I need to see, and to be honest, his clash against the Undertaker was a dumpster fire."
