[5.0] "Never got into the Scotty 2 Hotty gimmick, but at least Scott was a good enough wrestler for me to not warrant him a lower score, despite the Worm is one of the most ridiculous moves in wrestling. Personally, never been a fan of Too Cool."
[6.0] "You know, if Scotty 2 Hotty didn't hold back, the worm could have killed someone. Extremely dangerous move that puts the burning hammer to shame. Pretty solid cruiser weight, had a competent style, never had much to say on the microphone. In terms of looks, he was pretty thin, but once that Bart Simpson hair came out and he started rocking the sun glasses, Scotty had something. This guy was an excellent show opener that evolved into an underdog of sorts for kids to cheer for. In addition to having good charisma, Scotty was a tag-team specialist first and foremost. Managing to pull off a few wins and even getting the gold, certainly not an easy task given how competitive things were during the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras. The dancing and goofiness really deduct a lot of points, yet he was white-hot with the crowds. A 6.7/10 seems fair."
[6.0] "Torn on this one. In someways, Scotty might have been the most talented of the Too Cool trio, but he lacked the size and being the smallest member of Too Cool, he wasn't going over bigger guys realistically. Kinda got penciled in as the comedy relief character of the group with the Worm finisher but ironically, he also got some of the biggest pops from the crowd when he did it! Had great cruiserweight matches with Malenko but got squashed the rest of the time by the "hosses". 5 points for ring work and a bonus star for getting over with the crowds."
[7.0] "I really appreciate this guy's on screen story of scratching his way to the top starting as enhancement talent (mullet n all! ). He went from being a tackling dummy to having a pop the size of The Road Warriors or The Rock. 2 Cool was one of the most over things in wrestling history. Very much so an over achiever and how can you not find value in that? (Check out his matches against Dean Malenko: Smackdown April 25 2000 & Backlash 2000 if you're a hard sell)"
[6.0] "An OK tag team specialist who to be fair, was very over as part of Too Cool. No he was not the best wrestler in the world, but he was fun and entertaining, which is all that mattered in the Attitude Era."
[6.0] "The WORM was stupid, yes, but it was over. He was a guy I loved as a kid and I think he could've actually be put to use in the PG era. He wasn't also really terrible, he's okay"
Tatsächlich habe ich Too Much nicht gemocht aber Too Cool waren klasse.
[8.0] "Will be remembered most for his run in Too Cool, although offered a lot more than that. A solid if unspectacular worker, and unlike some thought that he helped Brian Christopher over rather than the other way round."
"No one who can transform into a deadly worm at the drop of a topless bucket hat ought to be maligned. With his slight build and long, skipping stride, Scotty's ring work was a sight to behold. It's all in the expression. Look up any footage of him calling upon the power of the worm and examine his face as it turns from wide-eyed consternation--does the crowd really want to see such devastation loosed'--to a gleeful fury, like a tranced berserker. Scotty is a master."
[3.0] "Yeah, I feel so bad for anyone laying on that mat, looking into the lights and waiting what must have seemed like hours, for him to finish his skipping, jumping around and doing the worm, just to be lightly chopped across the general throat area and than pinned by this little guy. It is so embarrassing. I remember my mum (not a fan does not even remotely describe her feelings towards wrestling) walking in as I was watching Bret Hart beating up DDP on Nitro in late 90s and she thought it was very violent. She thought I was watching this violent crap. If she walked on me watching Scotty 2 hotty doing the worm and the other guy just laying there, waiting, she would think that I must be mentally retarded to watch that. That s about the difference between wrestling and sports entertainment. Maybe he is a great guy and a hard worker or whatever, well, good for him, but as a wrestler, not remotely believable in any winning scenario and not entertaining- for me, although I understand some people, especially little kids, would be entertained by him."
[8.0] "Although he was mostly used as a comedy jobber later in his career, Scotty 2 Hotty could work in that ring and had bountiful charisma. It is undeniable if you Watch Scotty with Too Cool you'll see that they were mega over."
[5.0] "More of a tag specialists. He was okay with moves but did not excite me. The Worm was exciting. He was not a high flyer. If it was not for Brian Christopher, Scotty would not have done as well. He could have been a jobber still. Too Cool was his best peak."
[10.0] "I absolutely loved Scotty 2 Hotty as a child , he was my favourite member of Too Cool , I remember being a child and mimicking the Worm ... And failing ... Horribly. Though he was purely amazing to watch in the ring and he just made wrestling seem more fun than anything else , loved him to bits as a kid."
[4.0] "He was great entertainer and could fill time. He could go in the ring when given the chance though, unfortunately he wasn't given the chance often."
Leider chronisch unterbewertet."
[8.0] "Seriously underrated. Unfortunately he spent his last years in WWE as a jobber but was in one of the most memorable teams of the attitude era in Too Cool and had some great matches too that flew under the radar."
[10.0] "I don't really see how you can hate Scotty. Over 15 years in the WWE; and you don't do that by being a bad wrestler. Really skilled worker; really over when he got over; and one of the most memorable finishers of all time (Despite being silly)."
[10.0] "Underrated. My favorite wrestler of all time. Look no further than Backlash 2000 against Dean Malenko if you doubt this guy can go in the ring. Very fun gimmick as well. The W-O-R-M is still the G-O-A-T finisher."
[0.0] "Selten etwas schlechteres gesehen.
