[8.0] "He was one of the forerunners of the present style associated with the present highly spectacular side of lucha libre: he was nicknamed "Principe de Seta" for his smoothness in the ring, which contrasted sharply with the mat-based skills used by workers like Rito Romero. Ironically enough Daniel Garcia could mat-wrestle perfectly well and when a few magazines accused him of using "flippy moves" to cover for the fact "Huracan Ramirez cannot wrestle", a livid Daniel Garcia started using exclusively mat-work, leading to a major spate with promoters who made very clear they were hiring Huracan Ramirez for the "flippy moves", not the mat-wrestling that was a dime a dozen in those days. The infamous way Huracan Ramirez left the business, never to return, is something I honestly don't know how to rate: on one side Huracan Ramirez could have simply announced his retirement and instantly unmasked instead of doing so in the ring (and twice), embarrassing people like Texano and Mano Negra in the process. On the other he had been treated shockingly bad by the same Rodriguez family he had made a ton of money for. That legacy is the reason I have to stop his rating at an 8 and not go any higher."
