[4.0] "Bruiser just kinda sucks. His entire gimmick was that he was fat and he liked beer. Essentially a more sophisticated version of Bastion Booger, it didnt help that he was paired with Brian Milonias, whos a better wrestler. It also doesnt help that ROH tried to make him a featured athlete until they went back to their roots. Truly undeserving of the push he got but was redeeming that he was passable in ring."

He just has nothing that attracts me to him. Fair play to him making a living and such a long career, but he 100% needs to call it a day."

[7.0] "You look at this guy and he just looks like some fat drunk guy, but then you realize his gimmick is "just some fat drunk guy" and he looks the part perfectly, and he can actually work. He can keep the pace with smaller wrestlers, he can work from on top or play enhancement talent for bigger stars. He also has good tag team continuity with Silas Young. He's a great old-school undercarder straight out of early 90s WCW in current ROH, and I think he stands out in a good way in most matches. I'm a fan."

He's large, powerful, and looks like he wouldn't be able to move arounf the ring, but Bruiser is far more agile than anyone would expect. He performs somersaults and dives with relative ease. The rest of his moveset is very throwback brawler type, and he's paired with Silas Youmg, who really helps his work shine."

[6.0] "Beer-swilling, cigar-chomping Beer City Bruiser looks like some regional heel you'd see in an old wrestling magazine from the '60s, and he has the brawling skill to match. He's also surprisingly nimble for a man of his size, has no difficulty moving around the ring and can even surprise with an aerial maneuver or two (like the apron-to-floor cannonball). An interesting performer who proves that sometimes the most innovative thing can be to be totally old-school. Now that he's formed an alliance with Silas Young, he looks to be a more regular presence in ROH, and I look forward to it."

[10.0] "Beer City Bruiser has got a throwback look and presence you don’t see often in ROH (or on any other spectrum of the well-known indy circuit) and is a pretty good old school-style brawler agile for his girth, possessing crisp timing ability and a relatively realistic, logical moveset. Characteristically, he is known to be a beer-swigging bully. As a result of the combination of his appearance and characterisation and the convincing vehemence with which he delivers his moves, he makes for an ideal antagonist to smaller babyfaces."

[5.0] "When most people think of "independent pro wrestlers, " they're thinking of guys who look and act like this guy. I've discovered him recently on Ring of Honor Wrestling, participating in this year's Top Prospect tournament. Prospect? Hardly. He's a 15 year veteran trained by Harley Race. He's got no physique, looks like he's never worked out a day in his life... yet he demonstrated great agility and strength in his matches. I'm impressed. This guy looks like a fan, but he's a real (and pretty good) competitor."
