He seems to have conned his way into making people think he is some kind of industry grandee, being a bigwig in WresteTalk probably helps. By all accounts he was boring wrestler that was part of the British scene when it was at it's weakest, and still wasn't a big star. And on top of all of that he has been accused of being involved in some very dubious behaviours in the past. The kind of person who needs to get out the industry. |

He cut great promos and moved very well for a man his size - even diving over the ropes on occasion. However, I still remember how he spoiled (or at least very heavily implied) the result between him & Doug Williams at British Uprising 3, which is something I dislike even now, and he did more harm then good, when he took over the book at the FWA. I don't get all the hate he gets for his commentary? , he seemed fine on WOS & AAA. Decent wrestler, commentator & trainer, not so great at other sides of the business. |

Shane's wrestling was terrible. His mic work was horrible, and some of the most overrated in British wrestling history. And his commenting is some of the worst of all time. |

I attend most of the WCPW events live and have seen great matches turned into mush at the hands of this man's commentary. He almost never talks about what is happening in the match choosing more often to crack jokes about the competitors or himself with some of the worst comedic timing I have ever seen. You get the feeling had he not been involved in the UK scene for so long and had he not taken a position in the company he would have been gone a long time ago. I'm giving him a 0 because his work has actively made me not spend money on the WCPW network and not seek out the WCPW loaded show turning away viewers is really the worst thing a commentator could do. |

Shane is the worst of aging Jerry Lawler without any of the charm or charisma. I appreciate that he was prominent in the UK scene in its glory and struggling days (though there's many stories about his conduct there too... ) but if his legacy will be blabbering all over one of the most universally watched UK promotions and doing such a rotten job of it then I'll struggle to remember him positively. |
