[7.0] "While Abby isnt what he once was the cat is definitely a legend & knows how to entertain a crowd. His charisma is undeniable & he never fails to connect with crowds. His matches arent necessarily good these days but theyre always fun & that counts for a lot."
[8.0] "Just saw him live for the first time a few days ago, and yes, he's not as mobile as he used to be, but god damn is he one of the most charismatic, entertaining wrestlers I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. A true delight. Guy's had a legendary career and can still deliver a bloody, entertaining contest. Guy's the most personable wrestler I've ever seen. Before I even left ringside after his match ended, he was back in the lobby - a bloody mess - taking photos and signing autographs for fans. Love abby."
[8.0] "He is one of My favoritter deathmatch wrestlers of all time. But as one would assume because of his age it's not all tume classics he performes now a days. However he still do a lot of okay to great matches. He can do a little bit of everything, from comedy to of course deathmatches. He just really is a living legend."
[8.0] "Yes, today Abby isn't as mobile as he was before. Yes, his matches today are questionable and not as good as used to be - hence not 9 or even 10. But it is hard to deny he was and still is one of the core pillars of BJW deathmatch scenes, being loyal to the company since the "golden era" of BJW and until today, even when the promotion was on the brink of extinction. In his best years, Abdullah was one of the biggest stars of deathmatch wrestling, being massively popular as a babyface, and his feud with Ryuji Ito is one to be remembered. Oh, lastly - please don't listen to the fans with outdated and tiny-minded stereotypes about deathmatch wrestling."
[10.0] "I love so much Kobayashi ! This guy is a real legend of deathmatch especially in japan of course also all around the world ! Charismatic, crazy and funny also a nice guy (i meet him twice). Long life Kobayashi !"
[9.0] "The modern master of the deathmatch. Others are more athletically gifted to be sure, but his senses of pace, timing, and comedy are largely unmatched and he's been the best babyface AND best heel in Japanese hardcore wrestling over the last 25 years."
[10.0] "Abdullah Kobayashi is in rough shape now, but he's still one of the charismatic and captivating deathmatch wrestlers around. And with the right opponent (Takeda, Kodaka) he can still put on some brutal classics. Beyond just deathmatches, he's funny and capable of pulling out some very funny spots and characters. And now that he's the leader of the Kobayashi Corps he's got some new people to bounce off of. I'm always excited to see him even if his body is worn down at this point."
[7.0] "I didn't like Abdullah Kobayashi at all when I first saw him about 10 years ago. I thought that he was just another Abby ripoff. However, having watched him wrestle dozens of times since then, he has managed to change my mind. Kobayashi will never wrestle a mat classic or anything close to it. However, unlike other guys his size, he can wrestle fairly lengthy singles matches without getting tired. He can also take tons of punishment and takes good bumps, plus, for the most part, his strikes are pretty solid. When he's working deathmatches, especially with guys like Ito, Kodaka, Miyamoto, Takeda, and Kasai, he can do extremely well and has had many very, very good matches. He also has an undeniable charisma that the BJW fans love."
[3.0] "I'll give him a 3 just because he seems like a good person in real life but Abbie #2 is really garbage to watch in the ring. Apart from his willingness to be hurt and bleed he has never shown anything at all: no charisma, no mic skills, no originality and zero in-ring skills. Like Mr Pogo he's another guy that would have amounted to nothing without big buckets of bloods and garbage bins full of improvised weapons."
[1.0] "Japan's version of Abdullah the Butcher, having contracted hep-C several years ago, Kobayashi is a poster child as to why ultra violent wrestling should die. He was very immobile in the ring & even by deathmatch standards, it was clear that he was complete trash. But he was willing to take loads of abuse, so people like him."
[8.0] "Abdullah Kobayashi is my favorite japanese deathmatch wrestler. At 360 lbs or something he work verry well! Just look at his matches against Jaki Numazawa and Shuji Ishikawa."
[6.0] "Like his legendary master, A. K. has based his career on hardcore matches, becoming a symbol of the extreme Japanese wrestling. Apart from this, he has never shown anything."
[6.0] "Kobayashi probably wouldn't do well for himself in regular matches, what with his weird movement and ridiculously slow strikes, but he works perfectly in death matches. His psychology is solid and is good at ramping up the action and taking whatever he dishes out. Fun worker."
