He would be higher if he had any more enthusiasm, the only time i would like to see him on my screen if the icon Chelsea Green is there too. |

5 | 13.12.2023 | attackonmob | 7.0 | One of the best "authority figures" ever in WWE. Heel authority figures and GMs have always been a crutch that the stories relied on, but their inclusion was always conducive to repetitive stories and booking, and they would frequently overstay their welcome to the extent that you don't care about seeing them get their comeuppance anymore, you just want them off your screen. Adam Pearce is simply a normal guy serving as a neutral figure who holds the show together without being a huge part of it, and he's proven to me that this is the most effective role for a GM character to take. The character can be used as a tool to set up matches, but he's also great at cutting believably intense promos when necessary without just being a pushover. |

33 | 08.01.2022 | Gran Karisu | 9.0 | Adam Pearce was incredibly underrated. The ROH smarks were so obsessed with close calls and the done to death "I wish I were Japanese" fighting spirit gimmick that most seem to not appreciate how truly good he was for the product. Besides Jimmy Rave, Pearce was the only real heel the company ever had. All others were "cool" heels. Which gets old real quick. I don't mean to sound so down on what ROH was doing at that time, or the fans that like it, but its very one dimensional. Pearce was the odd one out that brought some necessary variety to it all. Honestly, I'm surprised he never got an ROH World title run, being that true heel champion that everyone couldn't wait to see lose. But I digress. He was a great character and had solid matches, and should be celebrated as being as great as his contemporaries from that time. And I guess he's been on WWE tv, which I admit that I don't watch, and I'm very happy for him. Had I ran a promotion, he woulda been my top heel champ. Hands down. A+, Mr. Pearce. |

36 | 26.09.2021 | Ma Stump Puller | 6.0 | A good hand who could have great matches when put with people who could work better than him. He's pretty basic as a wrestler and honestly just isn't very dynamic outside of those rare matches where he's allowed to work with people who can cover that for him. Great talker and was a solid fixture as a authority figure on Smackdown and whatnot, I'm glad he gets to use that great experience he has to good effect as a trainer. |

Post NWA:TNA he was trying his best to keep the NWA brand relevant, bringing it in ROH and having the great 7 Levels of Hate feud with Cabana. He was never one of the greats, but he had a good look, had a good business mind (and still does) while delivering solid promos and matches. |

67 | 10.08.2016 | Strezemann | 5.0 | I quite liked Pearce back in the day. His approach to wrestling, while clearly far from novel, was actually pretty refreshing at the time when the indies were all about spotfests and spectacle in general. He was world champion of PWG when I first got into them, and like I just mentioned, his style really stood out from the rest of the pack. When he eventually made it to Ring of Honor I thought he made a great addition to the ROH/CZW conflict, and not a lot of people on the roster could touch Pearce on the mic. Now that I'm more well acquainted with old school wrestling and the wrestlers who inspired Pearce, I feel like I have a bit more perspective of him as a worker. He occasionally bored me in the ring, which I thought was just a byproduct of wrestling 'old school'. But nah. Pearce, despite being a solid throwback, just wasn't that exciting in the ring, and while I'll admit to being unfamiliar with the bulk of his work as NWA champion, I don't think I ever really got into a singles feud of his. In fact, despite knowing that I've watched hours upon hours of his work, I can't even remember who he feuded with. In his defense, I think he teamed up with Shane Hagadorn which made things more boring by proxy, but still. Good on the mic, slow in the ring, not the worst booker ever. |

Not the flashiest wrestler in-ring, but he was always good at what he did. Very good & entertaining on promos. Shame he never got the right chance to wrestle on a major stage, but he makes a great addition to WWE's performance center as a trainer. |

Deutlich unterbewertet hier. |
94 | 10.02.2010 | Knurksel | 5.0 | Ein guter old-School Heel. Aber mehr auch nicht. Gerade bei R0H total überflüssig gewesen. |
