[4.0] "Axl Rotten was really only a popular wrestler in ECW. Known for his hardcore & deathmatch wrestling and for the Bad Breed with storyline brother Ian Rotten. I was never really into his work in ECW but was surprised he never won a TV or Tag Title in ECW. Actually, nevermind the tag division was always stacked in ECW and Shane Douglas held the TV title hostage from '97 - '98."
[7.0] "Meh wrestler, great look. Sometimes a look is all you need. Guys like Karrion Kross can be good in the ring, but he has a terrible look and that kills it for me. Axl can be hit or miss in the ring (in ECW at least) but he looked like a badass"
[9.0] "Very shocked to see how low Axl is he's a ECW legend yeah he had some generic moves but he could take bumps like no tomorrow he also had that awesome 90s look that was a badass mixed with grunge rocker he had some really good matches and was hell down to earth his brother Ian was just as awesome loved there tag work. Axl is in my top 50 wrestlers of all time."
[8.0] "Axl deserved so much credit, and it's because of tragic and life story, I'm not giving rankings because of that. But Axl was a good story teller and his deathmatch stuff was very good. Rest in Peace big man."
[5.0] "Ian was better than Axl but he wasn't the worse thing to watch in the world. He could a do a good Hardcore/Deathmatch but nothing special when it comes to who Axl is."
[5.0] "Good for deathmatch style matches. Not much at anything else. His life story got really sad towards the end. Axl died of a heroin overdose, shooting up in a McDonald's bathroom. Before that, he had been working out at a local gym, talking about how he was training for his WWE comeback. At some point, he had gotten a stroke and his 80-ish year old father came to the gym to cancel his membership because he couldn't work out anymore. The stroke wasn't publicized because most dirt sheet websites didn't care about him anymore. He eventually recovered to wrestle a bit more, before his death."
[4.0] "A good hardcore brawler but if you are looking to use him as anything but that you'll notice he isn't a very good performer. He was in a few memorable tag teams but hoenstly nothing that really is must watch wrestling."
[4.0] "Axl was a decent brawler with no qualms about getting hardcore. He was a good midcard fixture of ECW's tag team division, where wild brawls were the order of the day, and had good tag team runs with both Ian Rotten (as Bad Breed) and later Balls Mahoney (as the Hardcore Chair-Swingin' Freaks). Unlike Balls, he didn't have the level of legitimate wrestling skill underlying his hardcore tendencies to cross over to top-level success, but Axl had respectable runs in both ECW and mid-level independents and picked up a multitude of singles and tag titles. Sadly both he and Balls, by coincidence passed within months of one another in 2016."
[6.0] "ive seen axl make at least 1 persons list for top 100 wrestlers of all time... he wouldnt make my top 400 but there is no denying he is an entertaining garbage style wrestler. id have to put him top 25 best garbage wrestler ive seen. he is entertaining unless you simply hate garbage wrestling. his run with ian in ecw was cant miss tv for me"
[2.0] "Konnte Axl Rotten nie was abgewinnen.
