It's a testament to Jacobs with how professional he has been throughout his career and the dude is one of my all time favourite wrestlers. I put him as my 11th favourite just behind his brother The Undertaker. For a big man Kane could work really well, and always had a great look and presence to him as well as being a solid hand on the mic. Shame he never got more opportunities to hold the WWE Championship, but with that said Kane is the man. |

When they took his mask away, he got bald and pudgy, that took away his mystery. As a masked gimmick alone, I would probably rate his first incarnation with a 10, but as a worker, thats a whole another thing. What I am not a fan of when it comes to Kane - he just does not take finishers - if the finisher means his head is supposed to hit the floor, he just does not do it. Look at him taking a pedigree, or a ddt etc, his head is half a foot above the mat when he takes the bump and its very obvious. He just slams his hands on the mat, with his head up and he then lays down. His long hair used to cover some of this up every now and then, but most of the time he does not even look like hes trying. I think he might be the worst finisher-taker I have ever seen. It just kills the whole idea of a match for me, especially if he gets pinned after that. Well, maybe he just shouldnt have been taking them pedigrees and should have just beat hhh each time instead. |

Even though he never won the World Title that year, 2001 Kane is my absolute favorite version of him. He was jacked, had several great segments (some of his funniest come from 2001), and was so fun to watch perform. I'd also like to note his run just after he unmasked, which was also an awesome run for very different reasons. During this time, he was legitimately scary, more-so than when he had his mask on. His rivalries with Shane O'Mac and RVD were intense, his character was more sinister than ever, and him setting JR on fire was so hectic and crazy. His later years were not quite as strong, but considering he was (and is) one of my favorite wrestlers and the fact he has left a lasting impact on the industry, that doesn't effect my rating much. Much love for the Big Red Machine. |

Doch zum Glück wurde ihm die Rolle von Kane zuteil, einem der phasenweise besten Monster in der WWE Geschichte. Vor allem aber war er als Widerpart und Bruder des Undertakers immer sehr glaubwürdig. Die WWE hat ja schön öfter mit diversen Monster Gimmicks versucht, die Wirkung des Undertakers zu reproduzieren. So richtig gelingen wollte das jedoch so gut wie nie. Bei Kane funktionierte dies jedoch durchaus. Insbesondere weil dieser es, getragen von sehr starkem Booking, verstand, allein über die Körpersprache wie das maskierte Grauen aus einem Slasher Movie rüber zu kommen. Da hätte eben so gut auch Jason Vorhees in den Ring treten können. Es kommt nicht von ungefähr, dass Jacobs tatsächlich später für entsprechende Filmrollen eingesetzt wurde. Allerdings bin auch ich der Meinung, dass sein Nimbus etwas litt, als er die Maske abzog - aber andererseits war zu diesem Zeitpunkt auch schon alles aus dem Masken Gimmick herausgeholt gewesen. Wirklich redundant wurde Kane danach nie, erreichte aber auch nie die Höhen seines Gimmick Bruders. Dennoch war er so lange Bestandteil der WWE, mit unregelmäßigen Vorstößen in den Main Event, dass er als prägende Figur definitiv in Erinnerung bleiben wird. Vollkommen zu Recht. |

He is First ballot hall of fame and worth going back and watching any of his feuds with undertaker, Austin, edge, Orton, Rey, and snitsky, just to name a few. |

Few could match the kind of "oh shit" reactions Kane would get when he'd enter the arena and start throwing people around. The guy for a while was booked as being one of the top monsters around before, like with all monsters, he'd get slowly humanised and made shitty over time. The amount of crap he's had to work with is almost commendable. That being said, Kane was never going to be the top guy in the company, and his moveset was pretty limited: he worked better in tag matches where he could be condensed into a hot tag because his moveset was that basic but was explosive enough to get the big crowd pop. In his later years he lost that intensity and became more of a middling fodder guy, especially as Corporate Kane, who's whole character for years was "I'm Kane.... but with dress trousers" and was indefinitely boring. Will say that he seems like a great guy in real life, and has a surprising talent for comedy, especially when paired with someone who can work with him (Bryan) but overall? He's a pretty basic wrestler who relied almost entirely on the smoke and mirrors of WWE's production to make him better than he was. |

Kane hatte einfach alles was ein Vollwertiger Wrestler haben sollte. - Er hatte ein solides Arsenal an Moves (alleine seine Chokeslam's sind Legendär) (hätten aber ruhig ausgeprägter sein können) - Er gehört zu den absolut besten Mic Workern der kompletten Wrestling Geschichte. - Er hatte Verhältnismäßig wenig Botches . - die Physischen Voraussetzungen waren auch sehr Ausgeprägt (Lesnar selber erwähnte die pure Kraft von Glen Jacobs) - Laut Aussagen vieler Wrestler außerdem ein sehr angenehmer Wrestling Partner. - Schauspielerischen Fähigkeiten sind Außergewöhnlich! Es gibt nur wenige Superstars die Ihre Rolle so Glaubwürdig rüberbringen wie Kane. - Legendäre Promos - Hat extrem viele Wrestler Over gebracht. Triple H, Batista, John Cena, Undertaker, The Rock , Austin nur um ein paar Namen zu nennen. Besonders 1997-1998, 2001-2002, seinem World Heavyweight Titelrun 2010-2011 und nach seiner Maskierung auf seinem Höhepunkt seiner Karriere gewesen. Das Debüt dürfte zu den Spektakulärsten der gesamten Wrestling Historie zählen. Das einzige Manko war einfach die Tatsache, das er zu oft dafür verwendet wurde andere Wrestler Over zu bringen. Zu viele Matches musste er Verlieren nur um andere zu pushen was ihm leider zu häufig das Momentum genommen hat! Die WWE ist einfach zu schlampig mit seiner Karriere Umgegangen und nicht die Zahlreichen Möglichkeiten genutzt ihm einen längeren und wichtigen und definitiv Verdienten Titel Run zu ermöglichen. Alleine nach seiner ersten Demaskierung 2003 hätte er definitiv World Heavyweight Champion werden müssen! Aber leider entschied sich die WWE seiner Zeit für Triple H und der darauffolgenden Fehnde mit Batista. Schade denn die WWE hat ihm zu oft falsch Eingesetzt. |
