[8.0] "Nicholls is maybe the most underrated guy in NJPW in my opinion. Hes an incredibly hard hitting worker with great technical skills and the better wrestler of TMDK for my money. TMDK is probably my favourite tag team going currently but Id also love to see more of Nicholls in the G1 and NJPW Cup. Hell likely never win a singles belt in NJPW, but hes an incredible hand in singles bouts, whilst being one of the best tag wrestlers going. TMDK absolutely need a lengthy tag run in NJPW. Outside of the ring he doesnt have much charisma aside from a raw anger and swagger which compliments Haste pretty perfectly, but he fits in and has a good look for a supporting member of a faction. As a singles guy he gets a 7 but as a tag wrestler he gets a 9, so Ill split the difference and give him a solid 8. Dont sleep on Mikey Nicholls!"
[5.0] "Technically fine but as bland a wrestler and character as it gets. Likes to do some generic angry guy stuff here and there but never really delivers the performances to back it up. Decent in the NXT days with TM61 but his NJPW run has been extremely dull."

[4.0] "Mikey Nicholls and his long-time tag team partner, Shane Haste, are typical of my puzzlement at some younger wrestling fans in that I don't understand why they are so popular. I held off judgement on Nicholls until now, hoping that his stint in NJPW would somehow bring out these hidden qualities I had so far missed but even after the Rainmaker, of all people, failed to get a decent match out of him my mind is made up. Mikey Nicholls is a moderately competent tag team specialist who should stick to the higher midcard in the independents and occasional appearance as a lower midcarder in larger promotions such as NOAH or NJPW. As a singles competitor he's painfully inadequate for longer matches and only suitable for short "squashes". I am yet to see him display anything remotely resembling charisma and what little promo material I've seen of him has struck me as very generic. While I wish him all the luck in the world I also hope he will be booked according to his capabilities from now on."

[7.0] "Although being the lesser member of TM61/TMDK he is still a pretty good wrestler. So far in NXT he has been pretty impressive although we haven't seen that much of him. In his match at Takeover: Toronto we were able to see his strength and high flying ability. I still would like to see him in a singles match. Overall 7/10."
