I haven't seen all his work from Dragon Gate, but from what I have seen he is absolutely tremendous. His PWG work is also awesome and features some top notch babyface performances from him. Excellent strikes, technical ability, creativity, and technique in the ring. He's a natural babyface who could easily get the crowd behind him. Since coming to WWE he's been a total disappointment. He was a highlight in the Cruiserweight division and on 205 Live but I rarely watched that show. I can't think of a single PPV match he's had because he was always on the kickoff shows. Since moving up to the main roster he's a jobber in a comedy gimmick running around for the 24/7 title. Good for him if he's happy in the role but it's just embarrassing to watch."

He has had some decent character growth here and there, but has yet to have the chance to show off his full set of skills. He's still decently young, so hopefully he can have a break out match soon enough."

I can't help but worry a bit for his future there, given the company's history with Japanese talent, but Tozawa's appeal translates across language barriers. Hopefully he'll be given the chance to shine."
