He's reliable but painfully mediocre. Decent in the ring, adequate on the mic, bland persona. His "Perfect 10" gimmick got over with me when he entered at number 10 in the Royal Rumble one year (honestly one of the funnier moments in the Rumble's history) but other than that nothing has ever stood out about him, and that gimmick took him precisely nowhere. Spears had his chance on the main roster with WWE, and with AEW, and he couldn't ever achieve anything significant. He's just a dude who wrestles competently and that's about it, really. |

If you're worse, you're below average. He's perfectly average at all facets of wrestling. On a weaker roster, he'd stand out, but that's not his fate. The thing is that you can book Spears up and down the card and he's credible. It looks like he's been squeezed out of AEW, which is a shame, as I think he's a good performer who had more to give. |

Spears' worth is being the perfect fall guy for any heel stable. He's got some natural charisma and he's dependable in any role. Good low card act to bring in to eat losses to build up other guys. Seems to be a pretty good trainer too. |
