[7.0] "SOLID! a gift to Texas wrestling that keeps on giving in retrospect. A master of ring psychology & pacing, strong mic skills and crowd interaction as well. Had a great Snapmare/Diving Headbutt combo. Only drawbacks (besides size) was he had more heel/face turns than Lex Luger at the time and it rendered his face runs inert/null, you were just waiting for the heel turn at any moment. Why so many turns? Because he could often bring out the best in someone, even if they could be a slug. An incident with a car collision demolished his in ring future but what he left behind is definitely watchable. EDIT: Nothing to change here but I want to add that I think I just saw him invent The Slingshot Gourd Buster on Shaun Simpson on World Class Championship Wrestling Jan 30th 1988. What a cool looking move."
[9.0] "I think Embry is one of the most underrated wrestlers ever. Most people are familiar with his run as top babyface in Dallas. It's excellent, but I recommend seeking out his work in Puerto Rico. He's a tremendous workhorse heel. Great matches with Invader 3 and Invader 1."

[8.0] "Very popular babyface in WCCW. Quick and fast he was exciting to watch. His career was very short because of a car accident. He was an excellent wrestler. Who knows where he could have gone."
[8.0] "Eric Embry was a very good wrestler whose career was unfortunately cut short by a car accident. Technically sound and a gifted brawler, he was embroiled in many feuds with various heel factions throughout his relatively short career. Managed by Percy Pringle (Paul Bearer) he could hold his own against far larger opponents and usually win. He'd generally infuriate his opponents by calling them Powder Puffs, then produce a powder puff and blow the powder into the air. He had that smug, confident air about him that drove his opponents crazy. Unfortunately, right after he had signed with Florida Championship Wrestling (with the legendary Gordon Solie), he was involved in a car accident that ended his career. I believe that if that hadnt happened, Eric would have become a legend."
[8.0] "One of the less talked about tragedies of wrestling is this man's career ending. Eric Embry was a wild, crazy, southern pro wrestler. One of the best to come around when these kind of wrestlers were starting to disappear. He was one of the last of a dying breed. A burgeoning star in Texas and Memphis, he was only 33 when a car accident turned him into a shell of his former self. Not saying Embry would've been WWE Champion or some shit but he was definitely robbed of a lengthy career in the vein of a Jerry Lawler, Bobby Eaton, Buddy Landell, or Jeff Jarrett."
