[5.0] "Another case of natural talent being wasted on somebody with severe mental disorders and a drug habit. Guy was a huge flapping horse anus according to many backstage and you can probably chalk that up to the drugs and his brains being mush."

[1.0] "Most old schoolers love him but I'm not like most old schoolers. Didn't like him as a youth and as an adult I pretty much despise him. Selling? MAULING. Working with? MAULING. Putting over? MAULING. No matter the town, no matter the booking, no matter the year - he went into business for himself and I don't like it. He avoids a zero because he's been in tag matches where he wasn't in the ring much. 0.75."

[10.0] "Top 5 most underrated wrestlers ever, but it seems like that's all his own fault for being an unreliable dickhead. Still, when Buzz Sawyer showed up to work and was down to do business, he was one of the greatest performers to ever step foot in the ring. An absurd physical specimen, for a wrestler at the time, it seemed like he was capable of doing ANYTHING. As an unhinged literal mad DOG in his final major wrestling run in WCW, he participated in some of the craziest angles and promos of the time. Up until the end he could still go in the ring, but the damage to his body/character had been done, his drug addictions caught up to him, and after his death he was largely forgotten, but with the almost unlimited access we have in today's era to the wrestling he was such a major part of, his name has been mentioned more and more. Still, the Mad Dog was one of the unsung best ever."

True he could play the crazy part better than most, maybe due to certain "aids" it was not a act but nonetheless if you look past the crazy gimmick Sawyer was a hell of a wrestler. He could go toe to toe in a legit wrestling match with the best of them. Too bad he was never given more chances to show that side."

For awhile, Buzz was seen as main event material. His feud with Tommy Rich is still legend to this day. By the time I was watching him on Crockett and in World Class, politics had relugated him to mid card, but he could still get over. Buzz had a natural charisma that made me care about everything he was doing."

[9.0] "Buzz Sawyer was an excellent heel. He was bat**** crazy, and did some great promos that sometimes got a bit over the top. Wrestling-wise he was a well polished brawler with a really good amateur wrestling background that he would have brought out when he wanted to, and legend has it, he was one was the genuine tough guys in the business. However, despite his incredible talent, it seems that his psychopathic character wasn't entirely an act, which is a scary thought. In the end, he was another victim to drugs."
