429.03.2024Redtroll6.0Don't feel either way or the other 1 Called Manders, I think he's okay but nothing all too special, I do like the gimmick however, it reminds me of those 80s/90s Gaijin AJPW wrestlers.

705.03.2024LittleRock4710.0Manders is really hitting his stride. Showing what in wrestling is missing, hard hitting, rugged old school vibes but with a modern twist. Hes a true workhorse, you can see how much he loves wrestling. Hes the muscle in SGC, hes everywhere on top indies shows. Seeing him in MLW is awesome. Excited to see his future. Hopefully see him in Japan and be a top gaijin like stars of old.

1220.11.2023Chriswarrior117.0Good wrestler who has been honing his skills all over the independents for years and has found a plenty of success in the last few years in Tag team and singles competition. He is still young and has a lot to give to the business in whatever road he decides to go through.

1521.08.2023Bullshark18.01 Called Manders is a very talented worker on the indies all over the USA, and it's no surprise, since he came out of the Black and Brave. He has a gimmick that reminds me of those AJPW gaijins from the 90s. His in-ring work is solid, and his promo skills are fine. Pairing him with Mance Warner and Matt Justice as the SGC in MLW, GCW, and Wrestling Revolver is great, those guys compliment each other so much. It's always a good show when I hear Manders' cowbell and music.

2124.05.2023Botanist8.0I'm so happy to be leaving this comment and this score. When I first saw Steve Manders in 2018, he was working a small local indy that books a lot of Black and Brave prospects. My first impressions weren't particularly great, nor did he leave me feeling much of anything, because I really just do not care about the Iowa Hawkeyes. As a local, some of that stuff just isn't for us because we live here year-round. We're not college kids. It just didn't connect. I'll even admit to being a little flippant like, "look at this dude working the ex-football guy gimmick. Ugh." I started seeing him work Revolver in Des Moines; the crew and I still haven't missed a Revolver show in DSM in about 5 years or so. *Every* time I saw him, he was better. And the gimmick was shifting. He was becoming more comfortable, more himself. Then he started to work the Cornbelt Cowboy sort of thing and it started to click with me. This dude *loves* AJPW gaijin. And while he might not be as big as a Stan Hansen, his love for that style and that product shines through. This is the tell of a hardworking, motivated professional wrestler. I cannot be more proud to leave a high score and a positive review for Steve. It helps that outside of the ring, he is one of the most humble and welcoming people you can shake hands with at the gimmick table. Getting him with Justice and Mance is just going to propel him forward, as all three of those dudes are just complete maniacs in their own individual ways. A fantastic independent hand who will drink your beer and you won't even be upset about it.

2309.04.2023kmccoy836.0I don't really understand the votes for him to be an 8. I do like the throwback gimmick but he has a sort pasty, average body type. He isn't particularly interesting to me.

2621.11.2022Red Mage Riot8.0Great brawler, fantastic throwback gimmick, and just seems like a great dude all around. What's not to love about 1 Called Manders?
2718.06.2022BigBadShootyDaddy420 Hard worker, big brawler style. He's really starting to get himself out there since moving to New Jersey. Hope to see some big things for this dude soon. GO HAWKS!
2804.06.2022Ualightning86 He is really good, his work in aaw has been excellent and I would live to see him in Japan, his gimmick would be a great throwback to the ajpw Golden era.

3228.12.2019IsThisWrestling8.0Total throwback with a shitload of potential, Manders fits in perfectly with the modern scene while still staying true to his old school 90s All Japan cowboy gimmick, which is something wrestling has been desperately missing. Nothing is more intimidating than a dude in chaps that can kick the shit out of you. This guy is going places.
