We've seen many different incarnations of the network representative character in several different companies throughout history & I don't think it has ever really worked. People just see through it for what it really is. Canon's delivery of lines in his backstage segments was pretty bad too. It reminds me of a high school drama student overacting because of the excitement of getting the part. I went & watched a few of his matches in Deep South & he didn't seem bad in the ring. I particularly like his pump-handle slam variation. He might be more notable today for enduring the toxic backstage environment, which is what lead him to quit the company. |

He was one of the nicest guys I worked with, and he seemed like a guy who was destined for WWE or TNA. Unfortunately he really was misused in WWE, both on-screen and off-screen, and he isn't in the business anymore. He is an example of a guy who had good size, potential, and attitude to make it in the business, but was outnumbered by scumbags. |

| 6 | 29.04.2011 | TAWPTierJustin | 7.0 | Unfortunately I've never seen Palmer Canon wrestle but I thought he played the part of the network executive on Smackdown very well and it's unfortunate that not only we didn't get to see him wrestle but he was only on TV for a couple months in 2005 and 2006 before he got released from the WWE. I heard from Mr. Anderson that he was a really nice guy as well so maybe that's why he turned out to not really make it in the wrestling business. I heard that he's in MMA now. I don't follow MMA at all but I hope he's doing great in that profession! |
