He is very talented, has a good look, let's see if his pairing with Waller can get over. Apparently WWE management is high up on them, and if they find a way to make it work, then this rating will rise. Will move him up ton an 8 now, congrats Austin on Smackdown Tag Team Championship"

All his momentum went when Vince left and HHH took over, kind of feels like HHH doesn't know what to do with the guy. Has a fantastic look, good on the mic, in-ring is good, no doubt he'll be a champion in the future but as of right now he really needs to get back on track in regards to fulfilling his potential. I will say this though, he's never going to be on the level of a John Cena. Will never be the "guy" in WWE, I can honestly see him as the next Miz, which isn't a knock at all because Miz is a decent wrestler who is a several time World Champion, but he'll never hit the level of a top main event guy for long periods of time. Would love to be proven wrong though."

He is far from being bad in the ring, he is a good wrestler capable of putting on good performances but does not have sufficient charisma to hold a gimmick but a manager could help him. I remain a little curious about its future, maybe there is still hope because I tell myself that it may have been a booking problem until now and that in another story it could work."

He is very bland and his mic skills are quite mediocre (check out his promo against John Cena, he got absolutely mopped the floor with when Cena swept him). When he won against John Cena at Wrestlemania last year, that should have been the starting point for something massive right? RIGHT? No, actually his character work got arguably worse and he became much less of a desirable US champion. Although some in the IWC like to make him out to be worse than he is, he certainly isn't "horrible" by any stretches, but still not "great" either. Pairing him up with Grayson Waller, a man who has lots of charisma and mic talent, should do Austin better for the time being."

Lost interest when he became the selfie taking golden boy. Lost even more interest when he won the US Title. He got to wrestle John Cena at WrestleMania and nobody seemed to care. Turned the US Title into boredom during his reign. Now that he's with Waller... I really have NO interest. Decent wrestler but not enough character development or evolution to make me care. Maybe something can change."

Cons: Terrible selfie gimmick, lost his charisma after losing to John Cena, domino affect since that lost, constantly being pushed hard and no one cares. Overall, while I acknowledge he isn't complete garbage, I don't care for him and feel like he's cooked, unless WWE can pull off some miracle and find a way to make the audience care for him."

While Vince was running the company, they did give him a massive push, which the audience thought was sloppy and unnecessary considering his awful ass gimmick. While being in the era of Triple H, he has been frequently ignored and pushed aside, sort of a stepping stone at times. He can deliver a good match, a good promo, and sell his ass off to make finishing moves look incredible. A future star just needs a new gimmick and a solo push without random pairings with Grayson Waller."

The match with Cena was also the biggest letdown of this years Mania. I like where theyre headed with him though, I havent disliked his work with Waller and others so far. I expect to bring this rating up over time."

His US Title run was mediocre and his team right now with Waller is decent but needing that big win to prove themselves."

He's greatly improved since being called up, and I'm sure he will continue to as he spends more time doing house shows and tv work, etc. He's a great worker in the ring, and is even greater when he's against more experienced veterans. He has been put over by legends and even Vince himself (let's not talk about the golden egg storyline though). His gimmick currently is very vanilla, but I've LOVED his recent work with Grayson Waller. Can't wait to see what the future holds for him in the ring."

And his mic work is plain bad, looks like he doesn't even try to work in it. He sounds so simple and robotic. The thing is, with a right gimmick like the selfie one, he shows more personality and works a lot better for him. Hell, The Way run makes him look like a different person and was miles better. EDIT: I upgrade him one point after watching his Payback match against Rey Mysterio. Now I know he is inmensely talented, but the gimmick is what it's holding him back."

Somehow he got worse. Every time I check out WWE, I am left having to watch this boring dude wrestle a bland ass match. He doesn't even have his own cool moves, The Ataxia is just Evil Uno's finish, The A-Town Down was just Shawn Spears shitty replacement finisher for the Ushigorishi. This guy has nothing, I don't get why he gets pushed, he is a vacant empty white void of nothingness as a wrestler. His gimmick stinks, his theme song stinks, John Cena sure as hell didn't want to put him over at Mania. He has a nothing factor. It's also not like he is terrible in the ring, but everything surrounding him makes me not want to watch his wrestling. His US title run was literally dreadful and made me forget that the title even existed and I'm just baffled that they kept it on him for so long. The only positive about him right now is that he's very young, which hopefully means that much of my comment may be outdated a few years from now."

He's fine in the midcard champ spot that he's currently in, but likely shouldn't be holding it as long as he has. So basically, he's passable but at this point in his career, nothing special."

[9.0] "(April 2023 rewrite) I decided to rewrite this old thought piece of Theory mainly because I was thinking about it and not only do I think my opinions have shifted a little bit, but I also consider my first attempt looking through him to be poorly written and hard to decipher. Lets fix this! Austin Theory has been one of WWEs fastest rising stars for a long time now and its easy to see why. Theory is a very capable worker who mixes flash and natural athleticism with a strong grasp of psychology and showmanship. Hes a five-tool player in every sense of the world, with strong technique and speed, underrated strength, a notable look and a fair bit of charisma. Theres a reason why WWE had been high on him ever since he first came to the company, hes got all the tools for success. From being the dimwitted son of Gargano to the entitled chosen one of Mr. McMahon to his more serious character deeming himself The Now of professional wrestling, Theory has had quite the evolution of his character. For a time, I remember him being compared to John Cena in terms of potential, and while that is lofty praise, I feel that he is more akin to Randy Orton, more specially Legend Killer Randy Orton. His work as a heel is unquestionable and hes able to switch from brooding and sinister to comedic and jovial depending on whatever is needed. With that said, we have not seen Theory play a more heroic character and as a result, we cant say for certain if hed be on par with Cena. Regardless, being compared to one of the greatest WWE superstars of all time is always a great sign for his career and at his age, hell have plenty of opportunities to make his mark. Career Trajectory: Austin Theory has everything WWE could want in a heel. Hes a strong character worker who can shine in the ring and knows how to get the crowd riled up. While he is unproven as a babyface, his work as a heel is so good, it has to be commended. The sky is the limit for Theory, lets see how far hell go."

But from the moment he was in the WWN universe he kept being labeled as "the future" or even worse "a future wrestlemania main eventer" in a promotion with guys way better than him. It made his pushes feel so forced and a ton of heatless matches followed because of it. Fast forward to now and not a single goddamn thing has changed. Honestly it's impressive how boring he can be at times considering he was taught by one of the most entertaining wrestlers of this era. He's the closest we'll ever get to AR Fox being in the company so I'll give him credit for that lmao. The fed is gonna keep telling people he's the next man up and either you take it or leave it at this point. Have fun"

It's just that he hasn't really proved much to me yet that he is going to be 'the future' of pro wrestling. He's an ok (although a bit forgettable) worker and has charisma, but doesn't do enough to stand out as a character. Whatever character he does have, it just comes off as goofy and I find it hard to take him seriously. Not a huge fan of the selfie gimmick either, as it's too similar to Tyler Breeze, who did it way better. His work with Vince is okay, considering it's helping him get over as a heel. So while he is not bad by any means, I can't call myself a true fan yet."

"Good all-rounder, he is gonna be great in the non too distant feature. His work with Mr. McMahon is pretty good and he took some major bumps in the Elimination Chamber, against the likes of Lesnar and Rollins. He is great in the ring, solid moveset and has charisma. He seems like a mix between Cena and Orton. For now, he deserves a rating of [8.0], in my opinion."

Not charismatic, not good at coming up with gimmicks(he used to bill himself as "The Unproven" Austin Theory. What? ) mic skills are ok but not taking him anywhere, and his matches are pretty bland outside of the first and last 3 minutes unless he's working someone excellent or someone forces him into working their style of match like Darby Allin usually did. He's always been technically sounds and has nice moves, but there's so much more to wrestling than making your moves look good."

He calls himself "The Unproven One", I doubt that, he's earned his stripes in the business and he is going to be in WWE one day. I do believe he will have the Austin Theory ring name but he will still be something big!"
