328.08.2023JSouthard20059.0Its a shame that Big K is a what if story now, because he wouldve been one of new japans top stars at the moment if he continued wrestling. A huge man with a figure you couldnt miss, the potential was there and he couldve been one of New Japans best at this moment in time. RIP Katsuya Kitamura
415.10.2022No One7.0I fondly remember this hulky Young Lion dishing out brutal chops to his opponents and it's a shame that he never got to really have a career in professional wrestling because of injury. He will always be a "What If? " question. Now, he has left this world far too soon. RIP, Katsuya Kitamura.

604.09.2022UltraNano547.0Could of been a huge star. Such a shame that he stopped wrestling so soon because given some improvements to his character and look, he really could of been something.

1125.09.2019ElPolloLoco3.0Am I the only one who remembers this guy? Also am I the only one who remembers how insanely over he was? And am I the only one still baffled at that popularity? Make no bone about it: Kitamura was a veritable physical monster. But besides that there wasn't a whole lot to him, even considering how little experience he had. Perhaps with more experience he could have become better but I've got my doubts: the guy was over because of his physique, not because of his natural charisma (like Shota Umino is right now) or because of his natural in-ring skills (like Ren Narita is right now). Calling him a one trick pony is unfair, but that's what keeps popping into my mind. I've read that he left NJPW earlier this year due to the consequences of a serious injury, and that confirms how "jinxed" his class of Young Lions has so far been.

2224.12.2017Coleeo148.0In my opinion, Kitamura and Kawato are the two guys that can make an impact in New Japan. Kitamura is the prototypical, classic strong style Japanese wrestler. An intense, strong japanese worker that has great national charisma and ring awareness. He may not end up becoming IWGP Heavyweight champion, but I believe he will hold the IWGP Intercontinental Title more than once.
2324.12.2017Cola10.0He's the fastest rising due to appearence, but is also the oldest of all young lions. We have to wait to see his American Excursion takes him in 2018. He has the looks and presence, and while not on the level of Kawato, he's still holds that 2nd place spot and has far greater potential as a heavyweight star than Oka, despite my favoritism towards him.
