They were a lot like Dusty Rhodes and Dick Murdoch, or Stan Hansen and Bruiser Brody in how they sold their matches. Kerry came off as a legitimately hard guy to beat quite often as a single competitor. His style was too throwback when the WWF/E bought Stampede, and I would guess why they never decided to use him. He was also quite talented on the mic, and in the early days after the sale to WWF/E they leaned heavily on his and Myers heel work to keep the show relevant. |
