407.04.2024ShaneSpear8.0He's probably a true 9 but I don't want to believe he's peaked already I hope that he still has room to grow into a Top 10-20 all timer, and he's probably the youngest wrestler in the game that can achieve that.

911.03.2024venus5.0Honestly, everything about this guy left a bad taste in my mouth after his run as a world champion. Working with two of the most important wrestlers of the modern era (Punk and Danielson) fooled people into thinking this guy was great. From the racist and necrophiliac promos and disconcerting segments he'd done with Cole, this man left a black hole in AEW's product last year. Not all his fault though as TK was experimenting with his product at the time. Decent worker when ready.

1208.03.2024TripleCrown7.0It took me a long time to warm up to MJF. I really, really didn't like him at first. Thought he was very over the top with his promos, overusage of swearing, etc., but as time has gone on I really feel he has become a lot better than people give him credit for. Capable of having a good match, obviously amazing when it comes to promos, still very young so I believe he has the potential to grow even further in-ring wise.
1307.03.2024SerpentPW9.0I like MJF for many reasons, but the biggest reason why I like him is because he always comes through on what he says, to a point where he doesn't even need his amazing promo ability to be entertaining. He really and truthfully leaves it all in the ring, and I've loved the evolution of "irredeemable douche" to "Our Scumbag" over the course of his AEW career. Wherever he ends up next, whoever's there needs to know one thing. He's Better Than You, And You Know It.

3405.02.2024BruceMarcos5248.0How come he is just only 27 years old (as of this time of writing) but performs like a 20-year veteran. MJF is a prodigy in wrestling, he is already amazing even his time pre-AEW. This guy never fazes to broke character even in public, despite kayfabe not being existed anymore. AEW is lucky to have MJF, one of the four pillars that will ensure the future of the promotion. That man is one of the most brutal trash talkers in the ring; insulting his opponents and bragging how great he was are one of the incredible things he's done on the mic. In-ring, he has solid fundamentals but can be brutal psychologically. He has this different aura that although being hated, you are still appreciating his work. It goes to show that he is truly passionate of his craft. MJF's character is a mixture of Randy Orton, Alberto del Rio and The Miz and he upgraded it. As a babyface right now, he is not impressive as he is a heel. It doesn't fit him to be a sympathetic type of guy. Seems to me that MJF is born to be a heel, I just hope he can revert back to being a heel soon. Overall, one of the most valuable guys in wrestling and hopefully will witness him more for many years to come.
3501.02.2024KEI9.0I'll give MJF a 9 out of 10 for his incredible charisma, mic work, and ability to do great storytelling. His in-ring work is pretty good. It's a lot of fun to watch.

6707.12.2023TheDeity7.0MJF can cut good promos (when he's not trying too hard to be edgy) and wrestle well. However, his run as the world champion has overexposed him, and I don't see him as the GOAT heel as other wrestling fans do. He needs a lot of polishing to make it to the next level of being an all-time great, but he's thankfully quite young, so there's potential to be a more interesting wrestler.

7228.11.2023wcwfan9.0My favourite wrestler of the last few years. The feud with Punk, the iron man match with Danielson and most of his title run have been great entertainment. I hope he stays in AEW where he is used best and has the freedom to be the proper MJF, but good luck to the guy wherever he ends up. Proper underrated in the ring IMO.

7427.11.2023JediSaiyanMaster12039.0MJF use to be the best heel in AEW, and now he's one of the best babyfaces (or anti heroes, which ever you choose to label him) in AEW currently, great talker, underrated in ring wrestler, great storyteller, amazing psychology, selling and worker. This man has all the tools to be one of the biggest stars in professional wrestling in the modern era.
7527.11.2023beat7169.0
7623.11.2023GoldLiger8.0MJF is a guy who I think is both over-and-underrated at the same time in a paradoxical sense. I think he's overrated as a promo in front of a crowd, but underrated as a promo when in an isolated (backstage) setting. He's clearly got the physical chops to work an indie workrate classic but he holds those moments back to work a more old-school style where he makes small things look big, and yet I don't think he slides in the indie spots at the right times. Of those fated "Four Pillars" he outlined himself he's definitely the best overall (but Darby's a couple great promos away from matching him I think) and his youth combined with his reserved style gives him tremendous upside. I would easily say he's had the best overall AEW World Title reign so far in terms of both matches and character work (a very natural slow face turn mid-reign is hard to pull off), but I also think it's quickly becoming stale when I was still entirely on board with it a month ago, having what's probably the weakest PPV match for the title yet after a 2-month build to where he wasn't the best promo involved. I think losing the title to resolve his remaining angles without it would be best for him, and that's not just me wanting Swerve to hold it.
7721.11.2023dtcjdriver Has athletic and charismatic talent, but unfortunately seemingly a terrible mind for wrestling. A heel who never gets comeuppance for his heinous words and deeds is not a good gimmick, and as a face he makes all his opponents look like jokes. If you are his fan you get a lot of enjoyment out of his dominance, but his aura comes at the expense of everyone he feuds with. Very selfish performer.
7820.11.2023Hazelyze10.0The strongest of the "Four Pillars" of AEW. Best on the mic, best storyteller, and like he says, "doesn't have to do a lot of BS to get you there." Hope he wins the AEW World Championship. EDIT: his World Title run has been really strong, and the evolution of his character has been fun.
7920.11.2023mchdav6.0MJF is clearly a talented performer who is able to get western crowds behind him, but I usually find his style to be rather obnoxious. Between the boring American heel style of wrestling with the occasional hey, I can do cool moves too! moments and shouty, braggadocious promos, he simply does very little for me. MJF is a good hand and a clear favourite of the talent of yesteryear, but I feel like he should be miles away from world titles when theres so many better talents on their roster.

8510.11.2023Spooky9.0outstanding performances each and every time, he might not be everyones cup of tea but you've gotta give it up for the showmanship. he knows good and well what makes a good heel fun to hate and he knows even better how to turn that around and make you feel like youre cheering for an underdog. exemplary wrestling. gold star.
8609.11.2023Fusionman7.0MJF is a very solid technical wrestler who I believe is underrated in terms of his in-ring ability. However, he has shown his weaknesses as a promo over this past year. His heel promos are very samey and repetitive. He has no babyface fire and feels like a comedy midcarder instead of pulling off a heel who turned face due to the adoration and respect of the crowd. However, while those heel promos are samey and repetitive they are very good. As a result, I am willing to say MJF is an above-average performer. If someone can challenge Max in the way CM Punk did then maybe he can slide back into the 9 or 10 he's shown he can be but Max hasn't been challenged in a long time.

9302.11.2023Madlad10.0I feel bad for MJF haters. How can you hate this guy? MJF for me is everything I want from a wrestler he's more than solid in the ring and is capable of having classics when it matters. But for someone like me its all about his charisma and character work. He's just so entertaining. He can be silly and goofy and do dumb fun segments and he also can be mean and serious as hell. He can be a psycho and also can be emotional at the same time. I just enjoy the moment every time he's on the screen

9731.10.2023skyesversion8.0I love Max. He's just so freaking entertaining. See what I did there? ENTERTAINING! Sports entertainment is what he was made for. Which is why his current character is working so well. As for in-ring skills, I think he's a bit overhyped. I would rather watch a Sammy Guevara match than a MJF match. Sorry not sorry. See, he's like good on the mic but says the same thing every week which can get a bit annoying. His character work is fine though. If I ranked this a couple months ago then he would be a 10 but I think he's more worthy of an 8 right now.
9830.10.2023GrecoRomanYeoman8.0The best mic skills out of anyone in the wrestling business today. His in-ring work is also excellent, his matches with Bryan Danielson and CM Punk were amazing, especially for someone as young as MJF. He is definitely the future of wrestling. But, his recent work with Adam Cole has been horrible to say the least. He's gone from being the best heel around to being a stupid comedic "loveable jerk" babyface. There's plenty of wrestlers MJF could have feuded with and put on amazing matches with (as you can clearly see by his match with Omega on Saturday! ) but instead he's stuck in this stupid gimmick with Cole. Bring the old MJF back, please!
