There was a period of time early in his face days where I was a little worried he couldn't talk, but he's really found a home on the mic lately as a see-through-the-BS tweener of sorts in Judgement Day. I think Priest is doing the best work of his career right now and I really don't think we've seen everything from him yet. It's hard to take anyone seriously that downplays him right now--he's one of WWE's most valuable assets at the moment."

He's fluent in multiple languages and has a deep intimidating voice that commands respect, makes him convincing as a face and threatening as a heel. He's fast, but knows when to slow down. [8.0] "Damien Priest has always been a great talent. You'd be hard pressed to find a truly bad match of his, his strikes are sick, and he can display both high-flying and powerhouse ability. He managed to make a vampire gimmick work from 2019-2021, his duality character was actually pretty cool, and now in Judgement Day, he's probably my favorite member of the stable. I might be a bit biased as a fellow metalhead but Priest is just sick all around, and can put on a good match with just about anyone. His presence in the ring is there and he's shown potential in his promos, Priest is just a great talent all-around, one I look forward to seeing."

That being said, there's something missing about him. His matches don't really hold my attention, and in multiman matches, I check out when he's wrestling."

Though his character shows more freedom, he still doesn't really click. His recent matches were great, though they were mostly carried by his opponents."
[5.0] "So far, he feels like a replacement Aleister Black for NXT. Tall tattooed guy who is a striker with long stringy black hair and a semi-goth persona. If Priest ever wants to be seen as more that a discount bin Black, I think he needs something to set him apart. They can coexist now that they are apart, but if Priest ever wants to move to the main roster, I see that as a big problem. The duplicate character aside, Priest moves well in the ring. Not a fan of him using the corkscrew neckbreaker thing as a finish, as it looks bad coming from a big guy. He should use a slam of some sort. I'm not overly familiar with his pre NXT work as Punishment Martinez, but I watched a few of his matches & just found myself wishing I was watching Aleister Black instead."

Somit reicht sein Spektrum zwischen guten Sprints gegen Marty Scurll zu absoluten Katastrophen gegen den unorthodoxen CMLL Vertreter Soberano Jr. (Dieses Match ist so schlecht dass es schon Comedy ist). Insgesamt hat Martinez alles Potential der Welt, hat dieses im Moment jedoch bei weitem noch nicht ausgeschöpft. Es kann gut sein, dass die Wertung in 2-3 Jahren korrigiert werden muss, momentan halte ich aber 5 Punkte für angemessen."

Didn't win the tournament (they went with Lio Rush instead, understandable) He has a great base to build up on his wrestling skills but he still needs a bit of time to develop as a character and get better in the ring. He has a great future if you ask me."
