I hope WWE will do better with her because they are currently treating her as a punching bag."

She has spent a lot of time getting to where she is now and she really deserves it. I would like to see her challenge Iyo Sky for the WWE Womens Championship sometime soon. I give her a 9/10."

Over in AEW theres toni storm who is doing fantastic with her current gimmick but I think in WWE there is no better character in the women's division than chelsea. Shes good in the ring. wont give you a 5 star match but she is so entertaining and definitely one of Trips best rehires. Shes really great I think she's going to have a great career going forward. and hopefully she can influence matt cardona to come back to the WWE? maybe maybe not"

[7.0] "Poor Chelsea Green has not had the best of luck, initially being rejected by WWE, then eventually getting signed, taking a long time to get on TV, then breaking her wrist in her first TV match, then coming back, getting a temporary spot on RAW, going back down to NXT, then getting called up, but put on hold for months, then finally getting on TV with SmackDown, but then breaking her wrist again in her first match there. She's a very talented character wrestler, as demonstrated in Impact as Laurel Van Ness, but in the right situation, she can have a very good match, as demonstrated in Lucha Underground against Pentagon Jr."
[3.0] "Chelsea Green is bad in the same way Alex Lee is: incredibly sloppy in the ring and seemingly with little will (or ability) to get better. Putting her in the ring with far better talent than she is, from Tessa Blanchard to Kairi Hojo, has only highlighted these limits. I know people really liked the whole Laurel Van Ness character in TNA but to be honest that was a classic case of good booking overcoming the limitations of a worker. Remember the original ECW? Remember how shockingly poor workers like Sandman were ultra-beloved? Given how amazingly deep the WWE roster is there's literally no reason for her to have landed a job there but to stoke my worst paranoid fears about pro-wrestling."
[7.0] "I think Green really hit a homerun in TNA with Laurel Van Ness. I liked the name & the character arc she took made sense & was an emotional ride. Now she's getting ready to debut in NXT & I'm having doubts that the same magic will be bottled. The Hot Mess character worked in TNA because we say the evolution. But if they try the same thing in NXT, we won't get the same story & the character just won't really make sense. Also, just using her real name feels a little unremarkable. Time will tell."
[4.0] "Update: Impact had with the failed marriage storyline one of their few brighter creative directions, the gimmick they developed with Chelsea Green (Van Ness) has helped her a lot covering up some of her weaknesses. Before this, Chelsea was a person relying on her look, that had very bad matches vs even pretty good opponents (see for example her match vs Kairi in Stardom). Lately she has put in more effort and was at least at All In (where she maybe was just booked since her boyfriend is a close friend of Cody) carried by Tessa to her best performance so far. Not good overall, but she she improved and may improve to solid in wwe developmental."

[0.0] "Last night I was watching ALL IN and there was really good matches on the show it was fun then the four way womens match happened and this is the most stupidest gimmick i have ever seen (and yes i know the whole bride thing in impact but come on this is really stupid). Her wrestling was really boring i thought the other three in the match were better than her i dont even know how she was booked for ALL IN."
[5.0] "Her character work as Laurel Van Ness on Impact showed that she's charismatic when given a worthwhile gimmick. Makes up for her fairly mediocre in-ring work. Her execution of moves which should look vicious like the unprettier or curb stomp really look labored. Her final Impact match where she dropped the Knockouts title to Allie was, however, better than her usual performances with a good level of urgency."
[6.0] "Showed she can really play a character but her wrestling could be better. She has a great look and is really in shape. Her eyes are weird but she's really hot. She's got super long limbs and is a bit lank but it helps her sell. She can really look like a limp ragdoll."
[2.0] "Prior to the Laurel Van Ness character, more specifically the heartbroken abandoned bride aspect, I really couldn't have told you one good thing about Chelsea Green as a talent. Her wrestling is actively horrible, to the point where she's had REALLY bad matches with REALLY good wrestlers (see: her matches in Stardom with the likes of Kairi Hojo). Her promos and in-ring persona as Chelsea Green are so bland and generic to boot. Being Maria's prissy partner and now the depressed alcoholic bride in TNA has shown me a different side to her character work when she's given direction, but she's still a really bad in-ring talent. Nothing against her personally, but I actively avoid watching her wrestle."
[5.0] "While she has a lot of charisma, and personality, I can't say I've been impressed by her matches. Laurel/Chelsea is by no means a terrible wrestler, I just haven't seen a match of hers that I enjoyed. Her matches in Stardom were disappointing. In Impact, she found a really great character, and is a great heel."
[9.0] "I discover her during Tough Enough and I think that she should have won. She was the better female talent in that contest, I am happy after knowing that she signed for TNA, despite I don't like Dixie's company."
