2 | 06.05.2022 | Conquistador37 | 8.0 | I liked this dude! He could have had a really nice career had he lived I think... As Yukon Lumberjack Eric he was the stand out, being a far better talker than his slob of a manager Lou Albano, and being definitely not terrible in the mostly abysmal WWWF. As The Super Destroyer he was a burly wall of a masked man who was usually tagging with The Grappler, Scott was the more "whoa look at THIS guy" of the two. I think he was the first man I ever saw do the superplex. He did really well throughout the south & I feel he did even better with his brother as The Super Destroyers! For the time The Super Destroyers were quite physically imposing. He was one of the *very few men* who took a missed dropkick with a full rotation and landed on the stomach (opposed to the back), what I loved about this spot is he somehow would throw it in slow motion. A dropkick, in slo-mo... HOW! ? Anyway, unmasked they were the Lone Riders and they did ok, but it didn't last long enough. His death was a true tragedy, not assisted by drugs or any of that kind of crap. 7.75 rounded up, had about a decade of wrestling left in him before the untimely passing but what's left is totally solid. |
