320.05.2023Giantfan19803.0Not the worst but just crappy gimmicks culminating with the dyslexic "Evad" Sullivan gimmick where he had a pet rabbit in his corner. Yeah, I'm shocked he didn't win any titles.

524.12.2022Conquistador370.0Dave more or less was some sort of cosplay Nord the Barbarian, who was a cosplay Bruiser Brody (albeit with permission) ~ so right away he portrayed himself as 3rd tier (at a maximum). This guy is woeful to watch and was sooner than later inexplicably given the gimmick of a Hulkamaniac and...they really went ALL OUT with this, the nausea it evokes is palpable. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! There is wrestlecrap, but this is wrestle diarrhea and its only saving grace is the brevity.
623.12.2022XXDoubleHHXX0.0I completely hated Dave Sullivan. He wasn't a good worker, no promo skill, looked awful. He shouldn't have been anywhere near Hogan or Sullivan.

1126.02.2020JEK 19911.0More of a jobber. He even teamed with Hulk Hogan. Doe snot excite me. His gimmicks were what made him big. His career was short.

1305.04.2019ElPolloLoco3.0Captain Ron, Dave Sullivan... whatever you want to call him had a huge issue: he broke into the business at least a decade too late. He was the kind of big worker that would have gone to have a moderately successful career in second-tier US territories in the 70's or be useful midcarder/jobber to the stars in the 80's on his size and look alone. Unfortunately for him (but fortunately for us) wrestling in the 90's, for all the cartoonish gimmicks and silly angles, was changing deeply and it required workers to bring more to the table than merely being big and strong. In the Portland territory he did well, but Portland was basically like one of those fairytale realms where nothing ever changes: forever stuck in the late 60's/early 70's. Once he was removed from that protected environment, his limits showed immediately and showed badly. I understand he landed at the WCW because his friends put a good word for him in Atlanta but I hope they also helped him get a good paycheck because he was saddled with one of the worst gimmicks in history: Hulk Hogan's biggest fan. Let that sink for a moment. No small wonder he left the business never to return.
1418.11.2018DanTalksRasslin2.0Dave Sullivan had good size and a good look, but never really got the in-ring side of wrestling down. Any remaining potential he may have had was likely robbed by WCW giving him some lame gimmicks, notably as Kevin Sullivan's "dyslexic" supposed brother and Hulk Hogan superfan, that would have been difficult for anyone to recover from.
1523.09.2018RatingsMachine0.0Whether it was wrestling, talking, or any other facet of the business, you could count on Dave Sullivan to be terrible at it

1726.06.2016Mizzle Assault Ant0.0I am shocked. Just watching this guy for the first time and I am shocked. I don't think he can do anything well. And I mean anything. A simple punch or kick he will find a way to mess it up. I think he may be the worst I've ever seen. I am seriously shocked, I didn't expect him to be good but oh my god.

2025.09.2015mdkarl2.0All the tools to suceed but no tool box. I got the impression he was a well liked guy with friends in high places so he was given enough rope to hang himself... sadly he got tangled up in it when it came time to perform. At least he gave me time to grab a snack when his matches were on the show.

2304.09.2011Smi-482.0(Singsang) "I wanna be a Hulkamaniac" - sowas bleibt haften.
