Both had great chemistry as commentators, and although Marcelo Rodríguez is not bad his heel-persona antics gives a different sense to the commentary experience that I simply not like due to my aforementioned growth as a fan. Colombians are often considered the best Spanish-speakers; this is in part because, when properly educated, they have a magnificent use of vocabulary, and Carlos is a vivid example of this. Pair it with his solid voice, and you have one of the best commentators, albeit an underrated one due to the language he speaks. I have one focus of criticism, however, and it is him speaking extremely low. As great as his voice can be, speaking so low you cannot discern what he says when interpreting other wrestlers really distracts from the point of the promos. I find myself constantly turning the volume up during promos, especially when Carlos is the interpreter. This is sad, given all the pros I already mentioned. |

Always focused on the present combat, knowing how to narrate well the situation and the names of the movements and in the moment. I would risk saying that in that sense he equals or exceeds those of New Japan. He also knows well how to translate promos or make funny comments. A perfect example of babyface commentator with a career of 25 years, makes it a perfect choice for the Hall of Fame. |
