1019.12.2019Excellence of Execution8.0Großartiger Big Man mit einer wahnsinnigen Präsenz im Ring. Einfach Physis pur!

1211.11.2019MJFJUNE10.0Vader was just incredible. An absolute badass who could work both the Japanese and American styles. He was an absolute tank but could do some very athletic moves. Overall just a beast and a legend. From defending the legitimacy of wrestling to the point of nearly beating a news anchor to popping his eye back into place mid-match, he was just the best.
1303.11.2019JEK 199110.0This man was underrated big time. He was excellent in his career. He could sell moves and matches at any given day. The man could move fast for his size. He was like a bull in a china shop. Vader oculd jump off the ropes and land on his oppoents hard. He had great feuds in AWA, NJPW, WCW and WWF. He was WCW Wolrd Heavyweight in 1992 which was consider his biggest peak. When he was in WWF he was great but didn't get a big push. He should have been WWE Champion at Summerslam 1996 but instead Michaels wanted to lose by count out. Not fair. He got very slowly in his later days of WWF and his career. This man is a legend and wrestled before he died. RIP Vader

2421.03.2019WrestlingStats19.0Assets: Was a mammoth sized man who oozed the ability to be champion material. Demonstrated some surprisingly acrobatic moves for someone of his stature. Perhaps the first main event champion to find equal titular success in both Japan and North America. - - - Flaws: Was known to be something of a bully in the ring. Didn't navigate the politics of wrestling to do him any favors. Could let his emotions get the best of him at inopportune times. - - - Career Potential: Exceptional major league main eventer.
2515.03.2019Kevin411829.0Quite possibly the best big man ever to step foot in the squared circle. Vaders best run was his run in Japan. In Japan, Vader showed how good he could be. His run in WCW was also terrific. Though his WWF run was lackluster, Vader is still an all-time great and is my favorite big man of all time.

2802.01.2019SED1234510.0The greatest monster in the history of the business. Vader has had fantastic hoss fights, David VS Goliath matches, and Japanese MMA-like clashes with many people over his entire career. He even had a match with Will Ospreay a few years ago! To me, the wrestling world would be weird without the incredible Big Van Vader.
2929.11.2018FrozenOne10.0In my opinion, Big Van Vader is one of the most underrated workers of all time. I think many people tend to remember his disappointing WWF run rather than his excellent work in Japan and WCW. He's basically claimed every major title in wrestling besides the WWF World Championship. He's been IWGP champion, WCW champion, and Triple Crown champion, basically three of the four major titles of the 1990s, that's unbelievable. The fact that he was having classic matches left and right makes it even more incredible. Probably the most outstanding run of his career was his monster heel run in WCW from 1992 to 1993, his matches with Sting, Foley, and Flair are excellent and still hold up very well today, probably the best run as a monster heel I've ever seen. Vader isn't just one of the greatest big men in history, he's one of the greatest period, and definitely in the Top 10 wrestlers of 1990s.

3118.11.2018DanTalksRasslin10.0In the running for greatest big man of all time, Vader brought not only an overwhelming power game, but had amazing agility for a man his size, even being able of performing moonsaults, incredible toughness (once finishing a match after literally having his eye poked out! ) and had a great aura of danger about him. He had great runs in Japan and WCW, claiming both the IWGP and WCW Heavyweight Titles on multiple occasions. It's unfortunate that his WWF run didn't go better, but that's not his fault. An all-time great for sure.

4122.06.2018NastyYaffa10.0Not only one of the best big men of all-time, but one of the greatest of all-time - big or not, period. Lots of classic matches in his catalog. Absolutely monstrous with his offense, there's nothing quite like watching Vader give someone a beating. Also a fantastic seller, always knew just how much he should sell for his role. Truly one of the greats of the business. R. I. P.
4222.06.2018IsThisWrestling10.0A true 10/10, one of a kind, one of my favorite wrestlers since I was a little boy. Vader made fake pro wrestling REAL AS FUCK unlike most American wrestlers after 1980 have been capable of. Plus he was ridiculously agile and had great stamina to boot. Vader didn't even start wrestling until he was 30, and didn't become a star in his home country until he was 37. The man lived a very rough and hard life, so it's not a huge surprise it ended so early. Regardless, possibly the greatest wrestler ever over 350 lbs. RIP big man. Thank you for the memories!

4421.06.2018jamzell0010.0Greatest big man in the history of the business. What separates him from other modern day agile big men is that he had the aura around him. He was a guy who could beat your ass but he wasn't afraid to go up and fly if he had to. All his work still holds up too. One of my favorite wrestlers to binge because nothing Vader did was bad. Even his ospreay match was entertaining as hell. RIP
4521.06.2018test859.0RIP.

6202.02.2018CHN3258.0One of the best big men in wrestling history. Could move better than anyone his size had any business moving. Not many tougher as well. The man had his eye pop out of it's socket in the middle of the match and popped it back in himself and finished the match... like, DAMN.

7304.06.2017NikoWrestling710.0Vader is an absolute legend in Japan. A three time IWGP Heavyweight Champion, two time Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion and multiple time IWGP tag champion, Vader's storied career is quite the lengthy one. He's the first man to hold the IWGP Heavyweight Championship from outside Japan, he's the man who broke the undefeated streak of Antonio Inoki and he continues to be an attraction to his day. Say what you'd like about his personal opinions, Vader is committed to Professional Wrestling and with his days possibly numbered, we should celebrate the man they call VAAAADDEEEER.

7624.04.2017Super Brat10.0Wrestling's greatest big man! Vader in the late 80's and early 90's was a pleasure to watch. He had wonderful bouts with Inoki, Sting, Cactus Jack, Stan Hansen and a host of others. If you are a fan of stiff, hard hitting wrestling. Check out Vader during this period in Japan and as the WCW World Heavyweight Champion.
7730.03.2017Blood Pump9.0Few hit as stiff as Vader. While I don't think hes quite as fast as Bam Bam I do think he had a better air of danger around him. Usually when you stepped into the ring with the big one you probably had to have a doctor at the side ready (the man is pretty well known for hurting people, which is both a detriment and a compliment to his abilities). His matches with Sting are absolutely worth watching, and his work in japan not to be ignored. His moonsault is always impressive, as is his powerbombs and German suplexes. Its a shame hes never had a big match with Dr. Death, I would have loved to have seen those two clash!

7918.02.2017killowenskill10.0Vader - truly the best wrestler of his time, which perfectly showed itself fully echoed in the ring. He had his own style, he could into a realistic wrestling, showing almost no real fight. White visited all large-scale promotions and all left their heritage. This man will not soon become our world. But he left in his life a significant mark and gained millions of fans who loved and respected him. Vader - the best example of a great athlete who was not a piece of shit, and was quite hard-working man who in spite of the injuries continued to fight. Thank you, Vader.

= 8 Punkte

Mastodon! Wie passend. Allein seine Entrance Musik fand ich klasse. Aber das alleine reicht ja nicht. Wenn immer der Schlachtruf: It's Time!

9930.06.2016IAmOdie9.0I know Vader better from Japanese pro-wrestling/Puroresu rather than his own country's promotions. I'd say this guy is pretty agile for his size to the point of him doing several moonsaults despite having such size. Agility is not the only thing this guy has, but also badassery. His matches are awesome, and ass-kicking. He himself is quite memorable since he becomes inspiration to numerous video games wrestler, like Big Bear or Raiden from KoF or Burnov from Double Dragons. He is simply one of the best, if not the best, foreign pro wrestler to ever step in Puroresu ring. The only thing this man lacks is his mic skill thus my 9 rating for him, but he had Jim Cornette to talk for him. P. s. Kinda funny how most so-called Pro-Wrestling fans (especially girls) judge him as a big bully while Jim Cornette considers him as Teddy Bear.
