First off, Ive never liked her, no matter is the character she portrays on stage or her personality outside, even her wrestling skill is severely overrated and overpraised. WWE have the tendency of pushing people due to physique, marketability or pedigree, and shes the perfect example of all three, despite lacking talent to back up the outrageous pushes she received. I disliked all four of the "Horsewomen" initially, but gradually accepting and understanding the appeal of Sasha, Bayley, and Becky, shes the one that never clicked. Her in-ring work was mediocre at best, alongside most homegrown talent, shes insanely formulaic, even robotic, as a tremendous athlete, she sure is unbelievably sloppy at times. Her character work and development is basically non-existing throughout her career, every time she attempt to emphasize, usually end up hit or miss, being uncharismatic as hell certainly dosent help. Last, she had a few flashes of brilliancy in the promo department, but shes mostly average, and very boring in long segments. To sum up, Charlotte is a very naturally gifted athlete, very mediocre in every attribute of wrestling, but shes tall, shes blonde, shes muscular, checks all the boxes in Vinces checklist, and most important of all, she has the best surname you could possibly have in this business. Result is the most overpushed wrestler of this generation alongside Roman Reigns, WWEs insistent obsession of pushing her above the entire women division is annoying and embarrassing, especially with the talent pool nowadays filled with far better options. And yes, the straw that broke the camels back of me leaving this comment is her unprofessional behavior towards Kairi at TLC, which is so fucking childish, trashy and disgusting, she literally acted like a cunt towards a obviously injured colleague who couldnt sell her spots. An absolutely disgraceful representative of women wrestling. |

The closest thing to "fighting" for her chances was when after losing the re-match against Carmella, she got another chance: so at the third time she could defeat the champion in a non-title match and was then added to the title match. Kinda nonsensical when the other competitor Becky Lynch obviously had to prove herself more to stay relevant than Charlotte had to fight for this chance. But that's a general problem in the WWE and hopefully in near future this problem gets tackled. |
