[8.0] "A really solid, old school wrestler that could play both a strong babyface and a surprisingly vicious heel (check out some of his underrated Japan work, dude was basically the prototypical brawling Gajin and set the tone for the rest of them) but was pretty minimalistic in the ring and preferred to no sell or just ignore offence altogether, which can reduce the stock of his work. That being said, he looked the part perfectly as a no nonsense guy who would rather beat you down with simple but brutal moves than go for anything technical or whatnot and he more than earned his praise with good consistent performances."
[8.0] "A legitimate tough guy and brawler, he also had a lot of technical knowledge that he could use when necessary. But he always seemed to enjoy brawling the most. His match with football legend Alex Karras was classic. Before the Match Alex asked Dick how they were going to work the match. Dick said "I don't know how you're going to work it, but I'm going to kick your ass". True to form, Dick brawled with Alex for a while, then decided to use technical knowledge and quickly pinned Alex."
[10.0] "Dick The Bruiser was a class act, I seen him many times in my life and he was always a gentleman with all of the fans. In the ring, he was a powerhouse who destroyed anyone he faced, when paired with his cousin The Crusher, they ere (in my opinion) the BEST tag team in the history of their era!"
[7.0] "Like his tag team partner the crusher, stayed mostly in awa region. Im not old enough to see the first 25 years of his career, but i saw how much connection he had to the crowds. The guy was legit hero and they bought him as champ even well past his prime. Im rating him to try to shine some light on wrestling before the hulk hogan era. He might deserve higher rating but by the time i was watching him he was not good in the ring anymore and existing on just past legacy."
