203.06.2023Giantfan19804.0Mooney was fine in the early days, but I can't look past all that stupid "comedy" stuff they had him do from 1990-1993. Just embarrassing.
324.04.2023Conquistador3710.0He was kinda like superintendent Chalmers; "totally normal human juxtaposed with whacky cartoon characters". I completely love his straight laced delivery. Slowly grew into one of the true greats, tremendous commentary when paired with Lord Alfred Hayes. His Colosseum Video material never gets old. His professionalism helped make the golden era of the WWF all that it was. As much as he did in the 'F, I can't help but feel he could have been used more on commentary...
422.04.2023face painted legend9.0Sean Mooney swam across the water when most in his position would've sunk. He wasn't a wrestling guy, wrestling fan, or any of that when he started. His only exposure to wrestling was the skit he did at Larry Sharpe's wrestling school which is ultimately the one off that got him looked at by WWE. When he got to WWE, he gained name and face recognition with a slow build. Vince started him doing the updates on the syndicated shows which ran like 30 seconds at the most, which turned in to him starting to host the event center segments on the syndicated shows, that turned in to him doing the play by play -- I believe his first big show was the Hogan/Andre blow off match in the cage, then he got the gig hosting the coliseum videos, and finally the job of interviewing stars on the pay per view events. Technically, he was only in wrestling for 5 years, but it felt like so much longer because of the era he was in, and all of the exposure he got.
510.08.2019KyleEnjoysWrestling7.0A solid interviewer. He's no Mean Gene, but I prefer him much more than the soulless robotic clones that we see nowadays. He has also popped up a time or two on the Edge & Christian Show & it's always cool to see him.

815.08.2012TAWPTierJustin10.0Sean Mooney is without a doubt one of the best interviewers I've ever seen in wrestling if not THE best! He's right up there! I always love watching and listening his interviews even it was him just talking or promoting WWF events back in the day! He was always really great at what he does and you could tell he really loved his job there throughout his tenure with the company! It was so awesome to see him on Raw 1000! I really marked out cause I was very surprised to see him! I love Sean Mooney!
