Liked his work in the Orient Express but loved his work in Bad Company with Paul Diamond un-masked. Even in the mid-late eighties remember him vying for the Junior Heavyweight championship in the NWA."
[7.0] "I do rate him the same as Paul Diamond, he was good in tag team, and also in singles. A fine in-ring worker, and was a fine heel. Only problem with Tanaka, was at times whenever I saw him in a match during an introduction, he always looked sad and didn't want to be there lol. Anyways Badd Company and Orient Express are recommended to watch."
[5.0] "Just like his partner Kato, another decent lower mid card guy that helped elevate baby faces after the Orient Express broke up. Dude could bump like crazy and make the opponents look like a million $!"
[7.0] "From the mid 80's on through the 90's Pat Tanaka was THERE. It didn't matter what wrestling you watched where, there he was. I fondly recall him being just another body or one of the stand outs over many years. Enhancement talent who excelled in the role more than most. Took some crazy bumps - including some ridiculous spinning inside out moments. A true highlight during dying days AWA. Stellar tag matches with The Rockers/Midnight Rockers with both Sato & Paul Diamond/Kato. Chemistry with almost everyone who's ever laced their boots. Great looking chops and kicks. Was able to work at extremely accelerated paces for the time, a pioneer in that regard. What else? He'll even put on a hood for ya. Very watchable!"

[5.0] "Like his longtime partner Paul Diamond, Pat Tanaka would likely have never found his way to singles stardom, but he was an effective mid-range wrestler to fill out the tag or undercard ranks, and his notable bumping ability made him ideal for helping to put over others. Most notable for his tag team work with Paul Diamond (Badd Company/the Orient Express), who - when paired with an effective mouthpiece, like Diamond Dallas Page in AWA or Mr. Fuji in WWF - could make a solid heel tandem for any tag division."
[5.0] "The very definition of a solid if unspectacular midcarder that could be relied upon to fill the slots in those matches between the opener and when the stars started wrestling. He gained a measure of fame as one half of the Orient Express, but how much this fame was due to him and Kato and how much to Mr Fuji's antics is a matter of debate. One thing that has always amazed me is how he has been able to wrestle so long considering the sheer number of nasty bumps he took in his career."

Ich habe ihn gern im Ring gesehen und er wirkte stets als einer der Gegner, die unangenehm zu besiegen sind, weshalb die Siege gegen ihn nicht als reine Jobber-Matches wirkten. Erinnerungswürdig ist hier vor allem die Fehde gegen die Rockers, ob in diversen Einzelmatches oder beim Klassiker vom 91er Rumble."
