A guy who Cornette said was too nice for the business and would literally give you the shirt off his back! If not #1 then he has to be in the top 3 of safest wrestlers and people loved working with him. Only thing holding him back was he didn't have the main eventer look and was pretty much a tag wrestler 4 Life. Liked him with Regal in the Blue Bloods. Possibly the only guy in the biz who not one of his coworkers could say anything bad about."

Even if people will remember his role in the Midnight Express more, no one will argue how great between the ropes he was, capable of doing pretty much everything in the ring to make him and his opponents look good and give the fans their money's worth."

[9.0] "An all-time US worker. One of the best television workers ever, one of the best tag workers ever, and one of the best human beings ever. Bobby Eaton had no charisma, but in-ring, he was peerless in terms of consistency and adding a ton of weight to simple techniques, such as backbreakers and neckbreakers that are among the best ever. He may have even had the best punches in wrestling, after Lawler. If not for his lack of charisma and character, he'd easily get the 10, but it's still a testament to how exceptional of a worker he is that he could be completely lacking in one of the key dimensions of being a pro wrestler and still be an all-time great. Rest in peace Bobby, we love you."

[10.0] "Ranking extremely high on my personal favorites list, probably top 3 or 4. With no hesitation: the absolute best to never work for Vince. Among the smoothest wrestlers ever, a man completely and totally made for The Sport of Professional Wrestling. Has (had...) some of the BEST neckbreakers and backbreakers in all of wrestling history - some of them look so damn great, others look devastating - almost always the timing was just incredible and would maximize drama. His aerial assault is legendary and was always coming off the top with a knee or elbow that just looked PERFECT - lest I forget, The Alabama Jam! He was also THE tag team specialist, his pairings with Arn Anderson, Dennis Condrey & Stan Lane are all legendary and his team with Regal is a bit of a hidden gem. Never a speaker, but always surrounded himself with usually excellent talkers. Had chemistry with practically everyone and high recommendations go to nearly all of his matches (you can skip the Scaffold matches though). My personal favorite eras is the Stan Lane Midnight Express & The Dangerous Alliance, but also don't deny yourself his singles run between the two - there was a long stretch of peak Bobby Eaton to go back to and appreciate. Rest in peace and only the highest of accolades. Also, watch out for that right hand."

Eaton was a phenomenal wrestler, a great worker who could make himself and everyone around him look like a million dollars. Bobby was one half of my favorite tag team of all time, The Midnight Express. When it comes to singles wrestling, a memorable match to me is his TV title match with Arn Anderson at WCW's SuperBrawl 1991 (I believe). All in all, Beautiful Bobby Eaton was simply fantastic, one of the greatest tag team wrestlers of all time, and very enjoyable to watch. Once again, RIP 'Beautiful' Bobby"

Their feud with the 4 Horsemen is vey underrated as well. Bobby did not need to be a mouth piece as he had Jim Cornette for this. His singles runs were also very remarkable as well. He is one of the all time greats."

His run with Dennis Condrey and later Stan Lane in the Midnight Express gave us some of the most entertaining work of that era. RIP to one of the greats."

[9.0] "Beautiful Bobby Eaton was an incredible tag team worker - he was really good in singles as well, but his excellence in tag teams likely counted against him on his own. Both in the Midnight Express with Dennis Condrey and Stan Lane, and also as a member of the Dangerous Alliance, Eaton excelled in any role he was put in. He even had a fun comedy role with Steven Regal in the Blue Bloods. You wouldn't have headlined with him, but Eaton was a vital part of any successful card he was on. RIP to a great performer."

He also had an unexpected comedy talent, his work in the Blue Bloods was always very entertaining. And perhaps most importantly, he was a safe worker who wasn't known for injuring people. Wrestling needs more men like him."

All jokes aside though, a workhorse and a solid performer. Unfortunately, not much charisma or mic skills. Was nonetheless usually fairly over with his fellow Southerners. Seriously, awesome mullet."

He is the best member of the Midnight Express (any incarnation) and helps bring that team to an elite level, and as a singles guy he can have fantastic matches at the drop of a hat.
