711.02.2024Toothless Aggression7.0Test had a lot of potential, very solid in the ring, great size, although he wasnt the best on the mic he still should have been a top guy for quite some time. Gone way too soon. R.I.P will always have the best big boot in the history of wrestling.

931.01.2024CDProsPro8.0Andrew Martin who at his young age back at home was watching WWF and WCW, massive fan growing up, then he turned 17 had the experience of his life, worked with Bart Hart in getting booked after a long year of training. He wrestled around his homeland of Canada for a year until he got the call to go to the WWF as Test, a bodyguard turned pro wrestling heavy for the corporation. He became that good to go in a wrestling feud with Shane McMahon over Stephanie McMahons love, Summerslam 99 was where he peaked and had the brightest future ahead of him, got opportunities at the tag team titles, had Trish Stratus and Stacy Keibler as his manager, completed at Wrestlemania and had a good lengthy career until his release in 2004/5 time frame, it was when he came back in 2006 was where his life would never be the same again. He had a serious problem with steroids which he had used since a teenager but he ballooned hard around his ECW run & sadly affected his in ring work. Passed away too soon and overall you can tell he was a decent person who had got stuck in a business that he loved. Rest in Peace Andrew Martin.

1202.01.2024JediSaiyanMaster12035.0Here you have a big man who could actually wrestle, also had a really sick elbow drop, but something didn't click. Despite having size and ability, he never had a charismatic personality that got him over with the fans, it's a shame since that's the only thing that held him back. R.I.P. Andrew Martin

1607.11.2023AliAlnamir8.0Amazing Elbow Drop, probably top 5 ever. Definitely the best big boot ever. He hit it with such force, it looked like he was attempting to decapitate his opponent nearly every every time he hit it. On top of that, the Test Drive is probably the best rolling cutter of all time. He had more torque on it so the opponent usually got spiked more often. Had the knowledge of CTE, steroid and painkiller abuse, and their long term effects been known about more back then, Test would still be alive today. He wasnt the same after his 2004 release. He had a few good matches in 06-07 but his body and brain were worn down due to the wear and tear of wrestling as well as the vices that tempt you along the way. Ill always remember the 99-03 run though. RIP.

1803.11.2023Dntbamark6.0Test was another good talent taken from us too soon. At 6'8, 285 he had the size needed to be a star in the business and he was apart of some memorable moments within the attitude and RA eras. Test's issue was that he didn't have much personality other than that he was just another one of the big guys, they tried several times to give him some character through various gimmicks and catchphrases but none of them really stuck. I remember when he passed away and I was shocked because it wasn't much long after we lost Benoit and this one felt a bit worse because he was only 33. I remember seeing an interview that he gave before he passed, he was a guy that seemed so happy to have put the business behind him. He talked openly about how he was recovering from a broken neck, politics in wrestling, ect. He seemed really happy in that interview and almost free, unfortunately he attempted to get back in the business and died of a drug overdose shortly thereafter. At just 33, it's just a shame because he had a good run in his career and he was still young enough to really succeed at other things. I liked Test, he wasn't the best worker but he was a solid all-around guy.

2115.10.2023Gold Fists6.0A guy who had so much potential but sorta ruined himself via steroid abuse. He had a good look in his first run, 11/10 MOVESET, everything he did looked so good. Pumphandle Powerslam? Check. Big Boot? Double check. Diving elbow drop from a 6'7" 280 pounder? Screw it, this guy could've been world champion... if he didn't end up looking like an alien towards the later stages of his career. Didn't have the best promo skills either.

2614.07.2023MattHall8.0Always appreciated Test, he was tall, good-looking, and strong enough, should've had a world title run even once. Maybe his mic skills weren't the best. His 1999 - 2002 Theme and The Big Boot was fucking golden. Pump Handle Slam was great as well.

3321.05.2023Leth996.0Probably he had the potential to do so much more. But it wasn't absolutely WWF's fault tbh. He was his own enemy. In 2006 he was scary on so much steroids and it's another guy that we lost so young

3605.05.2023Giantfan19805.0Test was pretty good up until the brand split of 2002 and they tried putting him over in 2003 by giving him Stacey Kiebler as a valet, but people were more interested in her than him. Test started messing heavily with the roids by the end of his WWE run and it wasn't very pleasing to look at. You could tell that wasn't healthy and unfortunately he wound up dying only a few years later.

3928.02.2023kewf19884.0Test showed great potential when he was younger in the Attitude Era, as he was a 7 footer who had a great elbow drop off the top rope, but his ring work got worse over the years due to decreased mobility from steroid use. In his WWECW run and his 2002-2004 run when he started gaining muscle mass, he had your typical basic big man moveset, and he was never a great promo either.

4402.01.2023DanTalksRasslin7.0Test was one of the better big men of his era - many of his moves were crisply-executed, particularly a Big Boot that's among the all-time best renditions of the move, and a solid diving elbow, and he wasn't overly stiff in the ring. He also had a great look and, although he wasn't a particularly strong mic worker, he was capable of catching on with the crowd and there were a few points in his career - notable his storyline with Stephanie McMahon - where he started to catch fire, though it was never really adequately capitalized on. He likely wouldn't have been able to sustain a run as a long-term main eventer after that, but could have remained a major force on the upper midcard. As it is he did well as a midcard monster and had a solid tag run with Albert as half of "T&A, " and late in his career had something of a career revival with his run in WWE-ECW before requesting his release. Another in the long line of stars gone too soon.

5303.10.2022TheOneAndOnlyCactus7.0People really sleep on Test. Was he the best powerhouse in the World? No, of course not. But man he could go. He had tons of good matches where he was this tough big man who will toss and knock you around. He was never the best on the mic unfortunately, he was very limited in that department and should Always have had a manager by his side to compensate that... no not Stacy, a good manager

5810.08.2022Shoot Headbutt Lover8.0I always liked Test, He was a really good powerhouse that had a variety of wrestling moves just like his old T&A partner Albert. The problem was he wasn't very good on the mic until after his feud with Scott Steiner and even then he was only ever "fine". But after watching alot of his matches back I've really enjoyed them especially if he's ever wrestling a smaller wrestler like Crash Holly. He should've been a main eventer, even if he couldn't talk you could have put a manager with him, but of course Vince needs everybody to talk. The closest we got to Test in the main event scene was ECW but unfortunately he messed that up with steroids and then he had his one TNA match which he didn't really do much of note. It's insane that he was only 33 when he passed away, way too young. RIP Test.

6424.04.2022MorbidAxis3.0I never liked anything about Test. He was fairly stiff in the ring, his in ring work left so much to be desired, and no matter what gimmick he used or who he was aligned with, he bored me. Pretty much everything about him made me cringe.

6821.12.2021Conquistador376.0After reviewing a cross section of his career I can tell you precisely what was wrong with the guy: the ring work. Test had a tremendous start and showed nothing but promise up until a certain point. While many gloss over the T n A tag team, I feel it was his peak and there was definitely chemistry between him, Albert and Trish Stratus. Which leads me to another point on his career: he was most watchable in tag teams; the Un-American group was a success in the ring, although the gimmick was short lived and rightfully so (terrible idea), the men chosen for the faction was nothing but good decisions and chemistry was definitely there. Unfortunately for Test, tag teams in Vinceland do not last long. Test was always forced to be in singles competition even though practically all of his pairings seemed to click (even Scott Steiner and Test had chemistry! ) - and singles matches is where he often failed due to a limited repertoire. If you've seen one Test match post T n A you HAVE seen them all. Lots of corner back elbows n stomps, loads of pump handle slams. 6.25 rounded down. Shame he never rose above just a handful of well done moves, seemed to be out of sheer laziness,
6921.12.2021Scott Bailey6.0
7017.11.2021wrestlingisgross8.0Test's biggest problem was bad timing in his career-- constant alignment switches that made him just come off like a schmuck, having size in an era where plenty of people were just as big if not bigger but were better established as fans started to be more vocal about smaller guys, not really being a great talker in a promotion where guys did the most talking for themselves that they'd ever do. His biggest problem might have been being a tall guy from Toronto with long blond hair and a four letter name who debuted for the WWF in 1998 after being trained by the Harts and Leo Burke when someone who'd be main eventing PPVs in 2021 had all of those same attributes, in Edge. Except that the more that I revisit him, the more that I'm convinced that he and Edge were about as equally good in ring, which makes Test pretty terribly underrated as far as I can tell.

7828.06.2021thebigmilkman0.0I'm giving him a one for his big boot because that shit was sick as fuck. Test is one of those dudes that I don't think was actually bad but WWE made me not care for. The Stacy storyline kinda killed my interest in him
7920.06.2021Daigotsu4.0A guy who was always just around. Never really did anything, and WWE seemed to quickly lose interest in him, jobbing him constantly. Test never distinguished himself, but I guess he had a decently long career regardless.
8003.06.2021Ma Stump Puller6.0Test was always just there. As he himself has admitted in interviews, he's one of the guys who entered the business purely because it was hot then and he needed money: very much the same mentality as a Nash or Ramon, and as a result he's always never really been a guy worth watching as he'd always be going through the motions. Granted, in his better years he had great size and look, was a fairly decent brawler who had some nice power moves behind him. It always seemed like WWE wanted him to do better with his many pushes and featured feuds but he never really matched to the plate. He was fine in singles and tags but there was never a point where he stood out and if you weren't up for a brawl with him, he didn't exactly have anything else in the tank. Absolutely died way too soon, was shocked to see a relatively healthy guy like him die so young.
8111.05.20215nicoShuffle7.0Possible biased comment here but I really loved Andrew "Test" Martin. Decent but not amazing in the ring, always thought his Full Nelson Slam & Gutwrench Powerbomb was awesome. Got a fair few belts most likely just for his size rather than his workrate or gimmick. Featured also sometimes fairly prominently in storylines involving the McMahons and The Alliance. Was becoming big (figuratively and literally) in WWE's ECW, until wellness policies started to take affect and he fled to TNA, where he became scarily huge and had an ultra-short run before sadly passing. I still really miss him R. I. P Test.

He was gifted a top storyline when he was with Stephanie, but even that could not make him interesting. Some guys have it, while some simply do not.

8822.12.2020Old ride long line6.0This is the test. That roster was so stacked back when he came on the scene that it was nearly impossible to get to the main event level. Having said that test was also very young when he started and died at 33. I think if his demons didn? t catch up to him he would have ended up as a heavyweight champion. He had the look, and the badass moves to back it up. Rest In Peace test.

9223.09.2020SSEighty77.0Mostly positive remarks for Test. He looked like a million dollars, was very over with the fans at certain periods, had a surprisingly good moveset for a man his size (his Big Boot is god-level and had an excellent flying elbow), and was one of the few guys that could make a Pumphandle Slam seem legit. Alright talker, but never really talked all that much anyway. High potential that wasn't totally realized. Could've at least been an upper level midcarder, like someone that probably gets one or two shots at a main title in a year, but ultimately failing. Was pretty entertained by him at various points.
9331.08.2020steviecw8.0I always liked Test and I still remember seeing him as a legitimate threat in any match he was in and held a lot of titles but in retrospect it's clear that WWE was never fully behind him, though many times they were close. Good looking athletic big man (for the time) with a lot of cool signature moves and finishers. I remember him squashing William Regal for the European Championship like it was yesterday. I was shocked!
