But when you factor in the story buildup to this match, and the fact that this is supposed to be the defining moment of Rhodes' career, this match fell flat. The entrances for all the stars, while fun in some ways, took all the attention off Cody and Roman and it made them look like lesser stars to guys like Rock, Cena, and Taker. I know people were speculating that Austin was going to show up, and I'm sure it was pitched to him, but he didn't make an appearance. I don't blame him either, I think Austin cares a lot about doing stuff that makes sense and is a meaningful contribution to the match and story. Entrance pops are great when they're done for the right reason, but as I mentioned earlier, in this match it made Cody look like a secondary character in his own story. The work between Cody and Roman was really good, which makes it even more unfortunate that it was interrupted by all the outside appearances. A straight 1v1 match with no outsiders would have been really great and a more satisfying conclusion than what was presented here. There was some good stuff here, but for the most part this felt superficial and overbooked. Not a great start for the "Paul Levesque Era". **1/2"

Logan Paul now has a mania win over Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. I'm supposed to just sit around and be ok with that because "he's an influencer" or "he's a heel." No he isn't better than either man why do I need to see more of him?"

[3.0] "If you've scrolled past any of my reviews for Logan Paul's matches, you'd know that i think he's the drizzlings. He is a cartoon wrestler, barely worth the tights he wears. He impaired this match single-handedly but Owens and Orton, thank the Lord, know how to work and also know how to make a scrawny chickenshit look good when it counts. [2.5]"

[10.0] "This was an amazing match that really delivered. I was so happy that Paul retained because he has the ability to work with almost anyone right now and have an entertaining PLE match. All three guys worked well together The match even had a few funny moments, from Kevin and Randy's joint entrance to ISHOWSPEED showing up and getting totally wasted by Randy. Poor Speed. But that's what happens when you interrupt a title match at mania."

[6.0] "There is building a valiant underdog babyface who has to fight against the odds to overcome the heel then there is this. Cody straight up had plot armor. I'm supposed to believe he ate the pin on night 1 but managed to kick out of everything from tonight? Why did the bloodline come out 1 by 1? Why did it take so long for them to come out? It felt like all logic was thrown out the window to give Cody his moment. Which sure he deserves it, but we could have got here in a much better way."

[8.0] "Finally, one of the undercard matches lived up in terms of entertainment and in-ring product. Logan Paul is fully in now, never looking like he was off for even a second. Randy and KO had a lot of fun, while still producing good action. KO squashing Logan Paul off the turnbuckle suplex and moonsault was devastating."

[10.0] "ALL MY OBAFEMINISTS STAND UP! Oh how I loved this match. It could be argued that this was the best match over the entire weekend of Wrestlemania. These three guys worked their butts off to overdeliver here. Dijak is a star and possibly the best big man wrestler today. Briggs proved he could hang in these big matchups and Ova Femi proved he was worth the hype. I can't wait to see what's in store for all three guys."

[10.0] "I loved this match so much. They really delivered the goods and had one of the best matches matches over both nights. Possible top 3 contender for best match. So happy that Bayley got her moment and that she was able to do it at Wrestlemania. Her next chapter will be interesting to say the least. I'm game to see all that the Women's divisions have to offer in Wwe."

[1.0] "This may come off as a "hot take" but this match was just as textureless as the Uso / Uso match at Night 1. Styles hit some moves, LA hit some moves augh it was absolutely hollow wrestling. I did not feel any of their animated hostility that you might have seen on the TV shows but it was lost in direct translation if you ask me. Total nothingness. There seems to be a lot more nothingness on Night 2 than Night 1. [1.5]"

[7.0] "By this point in the show, it was pretty clear the crowd was tired. Despite some good work from both it didnt feel like it was about to get into another gear with them despite the work being good. Crowd were at least behind Kane and I think wanted a title change here but it did not happen. 6.5-7"

[4.0] "Built around the use of a single door, this was a pretty basic six-man that featured a good contrast in styles. I liked the look of Isaiah Broner in particular."

[5.0] "Was in a bit of a hole for me with all the Slim Jim nonsense. Both men are competent, and they added a few late sequences, but another pretty basic match without any real nuance. It's almost as if no one is trying to truly steal the show this WrestleMania weekend."

[10.0] "This WrestleMania 39 rematch finally became more interesting thanks to the stipulation. The entrances were magnificent and the stakes immense, I enjoyed the interventions of The Rock, Cena, and The Undertaker. The ending was very emotional, with Cody finally celebrating his family's first WWE title, marking WrestleMania history."

[7.0] "Solid match and great to see Jinder get a dsesrved opportunity. Both did very well and delivered on all fronts but didn't go above and beyond. Standard raw main event but was just very happy to see jinder in there doing his thing. Seth carried as expected"

[4.0] "Maybe this match wasn't made for me, but the work didn't really connect with me at all. Big dumb advertisement for Logan Paul and his damn Prime energy drink. Logan is very much a by-the-numbers wrestler and extremely formulaic. His work was fantastic back when he first came through and did the Roman match but now I don't see the appeal anymore. Kevin and Randy didn't have their best nights either, the pacing wasn't good and it didn't really need 17 minutes. It's a shame because I did have some hope for this being a very solid match."

[9.0] "This was a beautiful WrestleMania main event. Their match from the year before was already really good, but with an awful finish, and here the meat of the match was arguably even better plus you got the perfect finish. All the run-ins were amazing & so was the finish. Such a great big time main event."

[7.0] "Iyo is just incredible. The way she makes every bump she takes look brutal as hell, her eloquent athleticism, her amazing offense. What a wrestler. This was a good match. I didn't think it was quite as epic as it could've been & I would've liked to see them explore the Bayley's knee-story a lot more than they ended up doing. Amazing performance by Iyo though, as mentioned. I don't want to call this a carryjob by any means, but when I think about what made this match so enjoyable for me, it's all about Iyo Sky and what she delivered in every department."

[9.0] "Amazing hardcore match, one of Janela's best performances. He thrives in a chaotic environments full of weapons so this was perfect for him. Kenny had limited hardcore match experience at this time, but he took to it like a natural, to no one's surprise. There was some really crazy spots here, like the missed Frog Splash, Kenny being thrown through the outside table and the nasty OWA on the chair. The crowd was tired since this was taped after Dynamite, but the match was so good that they brought them back by the end. My one nitpick would be Janela's frantic glancing towards Kenny whenever he was about to take a move, which was pretty distracting. Otherwise, a great match and easily the best in AEW Dark's history. ****1/4"

[8.0] "A banger. I enjoyed this all the way through - the comedy stuff hit with the Orton & KO alliance, and once that alliance broke, the action was ideal 3-way dance stuff with a fast pace & awesome spots/moments."

[7.0] "This was good fun! Knight delivered as the fired up babyface & AJ delivered one of his better WrestleMania performances (& matches). Traditional dynamic fit for the simple story they have told in their feud. Really good midcard Mania match."

[4.0] "This was kind of a heatless mess before Bubba got involved. After he got pulled into the action, the match hit some good notes with a couple of awesome spots, but ultimately this was a very forgettable, yet harmless match. Gentleman's 4/10"

[6.0] "They kept this pretty fast & really furious with big moves galore from the very beginning. It's a pace that suits both guys, and they referenced Rollins being banged up from the night before pretty nicely throughout. It's a solid match. I do think they definitely went overboard with all the signature move kickouts though, and ultimately it's something that takes a bit away from the match for me, buuut it was still an extremely solid opener."

[8.0] "A pure finisher fest, and for some reason, I liked it a lot. I think this is the best match out the trilogy of matches they've had since Crown Jewel last year, and glad Drew got the moment he deserved, or in his words, he "bloody earned". What made this so memorable for me is the piece of storytelling in which Drew highlighted how obsessed Seth Rollins has been with destroying The Bloodline, however, his decision to rub it in CM Punk's face after his victory, was in fact his downfall. Immediately after Punk snapped and attacked McIntyre, Priest cashes in his briefcase and takes the World Heavyweight Championship away from him. Amazing stuff. Can't wait for the eventual Drew v Punk rivalry this summer."

[7.0] "A very good match soured by a bad ending. Started fairly slow with both men exchanging control before the match increased its intensity with some dives and then some good moves and moments in the ring with the crowd increasingly invested in the action. If the match had finished at this stage I would have been more impressed but then they botched a couple of moves and then Zayn goes for the heeluva kick is struck low and taken out by the Beauty shot. Bad insulting finish."

[9.0] "Holy shit did I enjoy this match. The match went on as I had called, by KO and Randy initially taking out Logan, followed by them having a mini match. All three men got a really good showcase, and the iShowSpeed appearance, followed by Orton RKOing him got a pop from me."

[9.0] "Brilliant high energy face vs. face tag match with some of wrestling's most famous top guys. I would be very surprised if you really needed to be sold on this--and frankly, I"m stunned that, at the time of this writing, there isn't enough votes for a recommendation on this site yet. This is a huge fight for the belts of one of wrestling's most famous tag teams, slightly married by a run-in, which still works because A) there's a pinfall instead of a DQ, and B) it leads to a backstage brawl that feels well ahead of its time. A lot of the card this was buried on, Super brawl 91, is not a great event, but this is kind of a must-see match for the best this era of WCW had to offer."

[6.0] "The beginning of the match was fairly promising, but it ultimately turned into a boring and incoherent mess with no proper chemistry between the wrestlers. Competent, but highly forgettable and unremarkable."

[10.0] "This match is sports entertainment at its finest. This match is professional wrestling at its finest. The storytelling in this match was second to none, from Cody going high octane from the first second, to Roman typically trash talking and reminding Cody his involvement in carrying the company on his back for the last four years. Then, the match picked up a couple of gears once the overbooking started. Jimmy shows up, so does Jey. Solo shows up, so does John fucking Cena (he had to show up for WrestleMania for sure and it was a nice call back to when Solo annihilated him last year at Crown Jewel). Then The Rock shows up and we have the "Thrice in a Lifetime" moment. Then, The Shield's music starts playing and Seth Rollins, with his Shield gear on, sacrifices himself so that Cody could get the final shot to put Roman down, fulfilling the promise he made to Cody by "being his shield". Then The fucking Undertaker shows up, chokeslams The Final Boss, HUGE POP. Roman then decides to give into his hatred of Seth Rollins, which ends up at the cost of him losing the match. Cody hits a triple Cross Rhodes and PANDEMONIUM. CODY RHODES FINISHED THE STORY. A 2-YEAR STORYLINE HAD AN AMAZING PAYOFF AT THE GRANDEST STAGE OF THEM ALL. Cody then cuts an amazing speech stating the entire company has entered a new era, the "Paul Levesque Era", followed by him finally handing the title that was long denied to his family to his mother. I was moved to tears when Cody finally pinned Roman, this was the payoff I wished I would've seen last year, but it doesn't really matter. This is the greatest WrestleMania main event of all time. Fuck that, this is the greatest MAIN EVENT of all time, and I can't wait to see the quality of stories both Cody and Roman get into after this. MAN, professional wrestling is cool."

[7.0] "It was a good match for sure, better than I expected knowing the people in it and their styles, but they performed a big match style, with a lot of high spots, most of them pretty impressive, mostly strength showings from Oba and Dijak. But even with that, it seemed like a spot fest to me, which don't get me wrong, I didn't expect and it was entertaining, but I didn't feel like the match had a great flow, the crowd wasn't as into it as the match would have required. But, all in all, a pretty good match."

[1.0] "I'm very thankful that Snoop Dogg was on commentary, he does what Pat McCafe tries and fails to do, reacts to the work like an excited human being rather than a colour commentator. Nothing in this match will retain in my memory, Karrion Kross is the definition of insanity, I hate to give Lashley the The Profits a low-end rating but it's not their fault this match was just a plate of nothingness. I have zero reason to care about the ECW nostalgia with Bubba Dudley. I reckon it was a favour from Paul Heyman. [1.75]"

[2.0] "Absolutely ruining of Authors of Pain and Karrion Kross. This fight could be entertaining, but it shouldn't be comedic destruction. This is a very big mistake, after which Karrion will never recover, which is a pity because it has potential. I doubt Lashley and Street Profits will gain much from this."

[10.0] "Oh my God, what a relief! I've been waiting to see Roman lose his titles for 2 damn years and I finally witnessed the history. Overbooked to the moon and back, but in the best possible way. This match will go down as one of the most memorable matches in 20 years. Wonder where was Austin though? But I don't care at this point. Magnificent stuff"

[4.0] "A hardcore match where the hardcore elements weren't that great. The Bubba Dudley inclusion at least forced some crowd pops."

[5.0] "Basic tag match not worthy of a championship encounter. The Ascension dominate for the most part working over the best wrestler in the match Kalisto who finally tags in El Local who hits a couple of unimpressive moves before being hit with the double team finish."

[8.0] "This was really good. I was very invested in this one. The only issue was Speed's presence, but besides that, loved the action. Logan retained, so I suppose Knight takes the title from him in the future"

[7.0] "Man, that match was so fun to watch live. There were really great spots on here, especially towards the end of the match, and R-Truth's comedic moments made this match even more entertaining. The way that Smackdown Tag Titles were captured was disappointing though. Well, here goes your typical ladder match, I guess, and I don't mean it as a bad thing, no, it was quite the opposite. It's just the fact that this stipulation is so overused by now that it's kind of hard to create something worth rewatching rather than something that is only fun to watch in the moment."

[6.0] "I mean, this was alright. Styles finds it difficult to have a bad match, so no surprise here. Knight did what he could to rise to the occassion and he did quite well I think"

[2.0] "What a stinker! Who thought that having Snoop Dogg on commentary would be a good idea? And they really brought Bubba in for this match? I feel for him. I love Lashley, but this was Kross' last chance to get at least a little over. Now it's over for Karrion I guess. A mess"

[10.0] "This is one of the greatest matches in WWE history. Anyone who has been a wrestling fan for an extended period of time. Huge nostalgia from the star power with an extremely hot feud and amazing in ring work."

[8.0] "They put a lot of effort into making this match as interesting as the other. Street fight, Snoop Dogg in commentary and Bubba Ray as referee. The match itself was average but Snoop Dogg and the finish were hella entertaining. Can't rate it lower when I had this much fun and laughter."

[4.0] "Totally different than all their previous matches. Finisher after finisher throughout the whole match. What was this? A Goldberg match? I'm not gonna write about the cash in, because that was the aftermath. I wasn't hyped for this and my expectations still weren't surprassed"

[7.0] "Very cool to see Paul London in the Murphy Rec for the first time in over 20 years at ROH for this first time match. Im not the biggest fan of the trash man gimmick that London does or his overall look. This got plenty of time at least and in the latter half the match improved with London dominating Swann with Swann getting bursts of offense. A missed London Calling led to a handspring cutter and 450 from Swann to put London away. A match that got better as it went along with a nice post match sign of respect from London to Swann."

[7.0] "This ended up being good due to an excellent final five minutes. However, the opening sequences were very sloppy and badly botched, and the middle portion of this match was middling. The finish didn't do much for me either, as Bayley's finishing moves are among the most underwhelming in wrestling, and no amount of pageantry or hot Mania crowd can hide that from me. Iyo wasn't very good for the first half of this, but her work in the second half carried this to a satisfying concluding stretch. ***1/2"

[5.0] "This was a decent match, although short, filled with stiff looking elbows from Rukiya. To-y was definitely the right person to win this one. He's got good in-ring ability and a lot of charisma."

Not only does all and any hint at Rollins' prior-night damage evaporate as soon as it leaves the lips of a commentator, but Drew came into the bout with a damning lack of charisma. Distinctly tedious, this one felt. Like they had no choice to go 10 minutes when a decent 6 or 7 would have done just as well. The finisher spam was cold and meaningless, Drew hitting his multiple Claymores worked with Brock Lesnar (might that be the reason why? callback to the 2020 Mania? ) but against an already battered Rollins with a myriad of injuries and aliments had him look very tepid. Rollins' bump of the Belly-to-Belly on the floor was cool. [2]"

[5.0] "A match based on pure finisher spam, it was exciting until it wasn't. They were clearly going for a moment, which landed strongly. I get a bit of the ick when CM Punk takes too much of the spotlight, especially when injured. Rollins would've understandably needed a break after last night, so they made the best of this match."

[7.0] "Very enjoyable opening match and I loved all of the post match drama and can't wait to see the inevitable feud developments between Punk and McIntyre"

[10.0] "When it comes to spectacle and the emotional investment we all have for these stories, WWE has always delivered and provided classic moments that still get talked about til this day. I cant explain why but something felt different about this main event and the Wrestlemania it took place on. The beginning of a new era, breaking free of the constraints of the past. A beacon of hope for what was once a dying art, in this modern landscape of wrestling where multiple promotions are thriving and the wrestling industry itself has been catapulted back into the cultural zeitgeist. When it comes to finishing the story, its important to point out that the story itself wasnt only Codys, but Romans as well. The ending of one of the greatest championship runs in the history of pro wrestling. The ending of one of the hottest storylines that brought back so many eyes to the product. The Bloodline. A story about Roman Reigns overcoming health problems, a global pandemic and multiple legit threats to his reign as champion. Just like Cody, Roman bet on himself and switched things up, teamed up with Paul Heyman and went on a historic run that cemented his place as one of the greatest Superstars of all time. All of it came to a head at Wrestlemania Sunday, where the night before saw the Rock pinning Seth Rollins to enact the Bloodline rules stipulation, which set the stage for the conclusion of this saga. Before the run ins kicked into high gear, the wrestling in the first half was pretty engaging and entertaining. Usually in these storyline driven Bloodline matches, they tend to be a slow burn and escalate near the end to provide satisfying ending. This wasnt the case for this match. In my opinion, the pacing was smooth and with the emotions running high, kept you glued to the screen to see what would happen next. Stealing finishing moves, a few close calls and some outside brawling kept things interesting. Im pretty sure many people including myself were expecting the ending of the match to be incredibly overbooked and that it was. It was absolutely epic. The Usos crash and burn on a table, Solo hits Cody with a few Samoan spikes and displayed a more energetic, vocal version of himself, John Cena and the Rock facing off one more time, the fucking Undertaker appearing out of thin air and chokeslamming the Rock to hell, and Seth Rollins playing mind games with the Shield attire/entrance music (which almost fooled me into thinking Mox would show up). The ending was full of highs and the rush of joy and raw emotion when Cody won the belt washed over everyone, including Samantha Irvin, who absolutely killed all weekend and added more emotion to this already emotional win. The sight of Cody holding the belt sent goosebumps through my body and just made me feel genuine happiness for this incredible Wrestlemania moment. Cody fought his way to the top, bet on himself and became the face of the WWE. the future is in good hands. I will forever be grateful for what Roman did for the business and it was a wild ride to witness this 3 year journey come to a satisfying ending. This match will be talked about for a very long time, and it will mark the beginning of a renaissance era in pro wrestling."

[6.0] "Was this match any good? Not really. Did the runs in make any sense once the old men turned up for a payday? Also no. Was I sports entertained? Very. WWE is not really for me but when I do tune in then this is exactly what I want. It was dumb, it was over booked and it was inherently silly. I enjoy the fact that Roman Reigns clearly watches a lot of classic TNA and just copies Jeff Jarret's formula for his big matches. Glad to see the local KKK chapter meeting finished early so even the Undertaker could make an appearance for some apparent reason that is lost on me. Docking a point for no Stone Cold, if you are going to lean on nostalgia then you needed Steve."

[3.0] "I just personally thought this match stunk. The high points include the various table spots, but that's about it. I thought it was mostly sloppy and boring, and Bully Ray didn't really add anything except for a cheap philly pop. Not a fan of this one. (*3/4)"

[6.0] "I am an opponent of fights where finishers lose importance and everything turns into an exchange of top punches without stopping. Fighters are definitely capable of a more athletic duel, with psychology and a variety of movements. But for some reason it all came down to killing your signature moves."

[4.0] "This match sees solid wrestling showcased by the British Bulldogs and their opponents. Despite an incomplete broadcast due to commercials and a disappointing count-out finish, the action remains engaging and well-executed. 2.00 stars."

[8.0] "A great show, a bit too long, but it told a good story and it had more then decent action, roman a great performance here, he was the best in the ring for me, all showed up."

[5.0] "A pretty short one, but I quite enjoyed it. Nothing particularly special though, but I always enjoy watching Claudio."

[3.0] "It was a nothing burger. I didn't find as offensive like other people in the IWC. It wasn't the worst match ever on Mania or anything like that. The match layout was just there and never went to another gear. It felt very much like a filler match on a TV episode. I had some hope going into this match due to their chemistry as a tag team. But that was not shown in this match at all. It was just an exchange of superkicks and some splashes. By the structure, one would think it would've led to another match but I doubt it with Jey getting the win. Very forgettable match, especially with the amount of heavy TV time behind this."

[7.0] "This was the first time I've seen Yuka Sakazaki and I really like her. Trish can always be relied upon for a good match and it felt like a good even contest between them. I'm intrigued by Serena Deeb's appearance at the end."

[7.0] "HOLY SHIT 45 minutes! Are you fucking insane! ? But honestly, for as stupidly long and dragged out as this was, by the end this turned into a pretty fun bit of over the top sports entertainment. Not much was done in the first 20 minutes of this, with it mostly just being staredowns and the classic Roman Reigns formula of hit a move, play to the crowd, hit another move, taunt that has made all of his other matches as boring as they are. But by the middle, this became the extremely overbooked sports entertainment nonsense that this and the main event of night two need to be. Announce table spots, ref bumps, a bunch of over the top shenanigans, everyone is over and it genuinely was pretty fun and the crowd got super into it. The finish here was also great, mimicking the finish to the Cody/Roman match from last year, only instead of Cody eating a Samoan Spike on the 3rd Cross Rhodes, he eats a belt shot from Rock, before Rock tags in and pins him with a Rock Bottom/People's Elbow combo. This sets up the night 2 main event to be even more of an overbooked, shenanigan filled clusterfuck than this and honestly I'm all for it because that's exactly what it needs to be. Overall, while this was definitely too long as there wasn't enough material here to hold my interest for a whole 45 minutes, there was some pretty fun shit during the back half and it managed to do its job of hyping up tonight's main event. ***3/4"

First there's the talentless Lil Wayne performing some Godawful Rap (worst music for wrestling), and the match was underwhelming at best, this was clearly rushed and it makes both wrestlers look like a joke. Quite a shame considering there was a lot of potential here."

[7.0] "While this felt mostly like a novelty of a dream match, it was still a really fun match. Amazing Red is surprisingly still pretty good in the ring and Mustafa Ali held his own against the veteran."

With that said, it felt long, but not like 44 minutes long and most importantly it had every right to be 44 minutes and all 44 minutes were used properly. If you look at it only in black and white, there are so many things that work in favour of this match. First of all, seeing The Rock wrestle for the first time in 11 years, and the whole Dwayne's work in this storyline, and the fact that it made so much sense and is used to put over current stars, fantastic, it will go down as one of the best wrestling runs of this decade. Second of all, Seth Rollins did not felt out of place with 3 of the biggest players on the planet, he matched the aura and busted his ass through the whole storyline, proving everybody that he still got it. And the most important thing - they made a bold, but absolutely right choice with stacking up everything against Cody before his legacy match, him getting pinned, Cole's instant reaction after the pin and the camera shot from last year, peak modern WWE. And as I wrote after his match with LA Knight - Roman's main event formula isn't played out, there are just only few people left on earth that can stand up to Roman Reigns during his current run and feel like they belong, and this was one of those rare occasions for sure and sunday will be another proof."

[5.0] "Watched this after the fact because I was curious to see how Jade did in her first proper since signing 6 months ago. Nothing was wrong with it. It just kind of was there and didn't have the time to truly develop into anything better than that. That's all."

[5.0] "Unique match as it takes place in a random pub with a couple people or so and contains a botch that causes the match to end early. However Danielson manages to actually turn the match into something interesting rather than just leaving and puts ZSJ as a result. Other than that the match is pretty solid, just nothing to really stick out."

[6.0] "First two falls are solid. The third fall starts off with a bang as Sheamus manages to hit his kick onto a cocky rushing Bryan. However, I feel like the ending was pretty flat, pretty much making the third fall kind of mediocre for me. I did like the structure of the match, especially Bryan giving Sheamus the first fall in order to work heavily on his arm."

[9.0] "Gunther vs Sami is just a recipe for a great match. Sami's a great underdog, and Gunther is great at dominating underdog wrestlers and also selling like crazy when his opponent mounts a comeback. This told a simple, but great story in the 15 minutes it lasted. Gunther controls most of the match, beating down Sami with a bunch of chops, kicks and lariats. Sami attempts to mount a comeback at points but Gunther always seems to know what move Sami is going for and comes up with a counter, cutting Sami off. Gunther continues dominating Sami, but Sami just won't stay down. Even after a string of 2 powerbombs and a lariat, Sami still finds a way to kick out. At this point, Gunther just starts beating the shit out of Sami and not even attempting a cover. Powerbomb after powerbomb, splash after splash, all while he taunts Sami's wife at ringside. But Sami starts to rally; after all of the mind games and taunting he starts to fight back. Gunther goes for another splash but Sami is ready. During the build, Gable told him that he couldn't surprise Gunther, that he couldn't possibly find an opening but Sami does. Gunther made a mistake, and now Sami has him right where he wants him, surprising him with a move he hasn't hit in years (the Generico brainbuster) and two Helluva kicks to end the dominant near 2 year reign of Gunther. A brilliant match with a story told beautifully throughout by 2 of the very best that this company has to offer. Match of the night for sure. ****1/2"

[5.0] "Cool entrances for both teams but at the end of the day this was middle of the road six woman tag. Not much storyline build to speak of, and the in ring action wasn't really anything to write home about, essentially just standard multi person tag stuff before the babyface team all hit their moves and Jade won with the Jaded. I guess this worked as a showcase for Jade, but overall this was essentially a time filler. **1/2"

[2.0] "This was bad. Like really bad. One of the worst Wrestlemania matches I've ever seen. Let's start at the entrances because already things start going wrong there. They introduce Lil Wayne as "the greatest rapper of all time". Now I like Lil Wayne but he is far from the greatest rapper OF ALL TIME. Like be fr. Anyway, he comes out and raps the first few seconds of A Milli before Jey's song starts playing and Wayne just kinda slowly follows him to the ring. Jimmy then comes out, and the match starts with Jey hitting a dive on Jimmy. The rest of the match is essentially just them endlessly hitting superkicks on eachother. For the whole match. No psychology, barely any emotion or storytelling, just superkicks. There's an attempt at some kind of emotional beat where Jey goes for his 257th superkick, but stops and sits in front of his brother while Jimmy continually says "I'm sorry" at him but it just felt insanely forced. A bad attempt at melodrama just for the sake of melodrama. Jey wins but at the end of the day, no one cares. This was a bad attempt at creating a dramatic brother vs brother match because it lacked the fundamentals that made the only 2 good brother vs brother matches good. Jey and Jimmy aren't as good in ring as Bret and Owen were and this match didn't have the storytelling and emotion and violence to make up for it like Cody vs Dustin had. Just awful. *"

[5.0] "Very uninteresting match. This felt like it could've just taken place on Smackdown. Action was perfectly fine throughout, with Andrade and Escobar standing out the most here. Joaquin Wilde also did his cool springboard dive thing bear the end where he flies about 10 miles. Crowd were basically silent throughout, and the part where the two random football guys came out to help the faces was stupid. Overall, this was basically a pointless time filler that would've been better suited to take place on an episode of TV rather than at Wrestlemania. **3/4"

[8.0] "It doesn't even bother me that the two worst teams in the match won because the match itself was so fun. Multi man ladder matches at Mania always cook and this was no different. Tons of cool spots and performances by both teams, with DIY and New Catch Republic predictably standing out the most and doing the coolest shit in the match. I mean they're both responsible for the 2 best spots in the match, with Gargano hitting a slingshot DDT on Dunne through a table and Ciampa hitting Bate with a White Noise off a super tall ladder not long after. R Truths comedy spots in this were also pretty entertaining. Again, not a fan of the winners here but the match itself was still a really fun car crash spotfest regardless. ****1/4"

[5.0] "The best thing about this was that all six ladies looked like absolute stars. Unfortunately, this was a glorified squash match against the tag team champs, which makes no sense for what is supposed to be your biggest event of the year. At this point they should probably seriously consider retiring them. Jade, while looking phenomenal, still seems that WWE doesn't trust her to work more than just some spots."

[1.0] "Lol I was wondering why this was the lowest rated match of the night. After watching it I can see why, both struggle to deliver a good interesting match even though they are brothers and know each other since always. There were this super cringy parts in which they completely didn't sell each other moves, move after move they were like "oh you did this to me, then I do this to you, oh no I'd deliver this back to you"... like really? Is this a wrestling match or a parody? And the overused superkick was even worse, they don't know to do any other move? Even the crowd was kind of lost. Too much drama-telenovela with the brother thing. Very overrated match that shouldn't even had been on the event."

[5.0] "This looked like an entertaining clash of styles on paper, but things just didn't click here. FTR even looked frustrated at the end. There was no chemistry between the teams, resulting in half the moves looking sloppy. There was one spot near the end where Dante was on the top rope awkwardly waiting for Dax to get into the correct position for a spot - Dax was in an upright position on his feet, but then randomly falls to the mat so as to be in position for the spot. Little stuff like that where everything felt "off". The crowd wasn't into this either, which I blame more on the long set of TV tapings rather than the wrestlers themselves."

[6.0] "I thought this was a pretty good match, the House of Black are always good to watch, although you knew they were always going to win. Daniels, Keith and Sydal are good too."

[9.0] "Hilarous and super fun match. House of Torture vs Los Ingobernables de Japon matches are always entertaining but this one was especially good, with some pretty creative goofy stuff like the Kanemaru and Hiromu referee spots Shingo gets the win at the end for a good payoff."

[] "I don't really understand why this match has only 7 rate, I would easily give it a 9. I find it really interesting and entertaining to watch. Especially if you look at The Rock, people thought he can't wrestle but he show them that he really is Final Boss."

[7.0] "Not every day you hear the crowd chant 'Headlock! Headlock! ' without any hint of irony and being genuinely entertained when someone applies a headlock, what a blast from the past it was. Good vibes were captured right from the start, Corino is just awesome."

[9.0] "This match was a lot more interesting than any other matches other than the main events, really by miles. Gunther and Sami are two of the most reliable workers in the WWE, and it showed here. They could have had a 5 star match but it was not the story they were telling. The ending is brilliant, and elevates the show like no other match in the card of Night 1. I don't know if Sami Zayn is the right guy to end this reign, but it was time for Gunther to give this title up and pursue the main title scene, which desperately needs him."

[7.0] "Way too damn long, it could have been 20-30 minutes instead of a whole 44 minutes. And I'll admit, this is certainly not my kind of match at all. This is all cinema, less work rate. But I can't deny the crowd was getting hot for this one, and there was some great spots here and there. And in terms of the story line, this does the job damn well. I'll change my review depending on tonight's main event though."

[6.0] "I believe it felt really flat. Because of few things - opening spot was a bad choice for such a big fight feel match, it was too short to play out to it full big match potential, it felt too similar to every Becky Lynch match she had with random girl from catering this year. Finish was good and decision to make Rhea go over is 100% right decision. I really didn't like these commentators talking how cold it is and how sick Becky Lynch is, one time was enough, it didn't help anyone and it felt like they were going "oh this match would probably be worse than u expect so here is the excuse"."

[2.0] "An utterly heatless, slow, and unexciting match. Nothing of interest or memorable happened here. Sometimes a match will start slow and ramp up but not this, it was 1st gear all the way. To have this on a Wrestlemania is sad and only perpetuates the idea that WWE knows people will buy their product regardless of what that product shows."

[8.0] "Adam Copeland vs Matt Cardona is the match of the week because it was surprising, it felt special, and it was efficient. Now, part of why Copeland vs Cardona delivered for me is because of the expectation vs reality ratio. For something like a WrestleMania or All In or especially a Wrestle Kingdom main event, your expectation should be a minimum of an 8, happy to have a 9, and a 10 seems within reach. For a regular opening match on AEW Collision, which is free TV wrestling on Saturday night for an audience that is half of Dynamite, the expectation set is much different, and that is leverage that Collisions creative team should use to its advantage to take more chances. With Collision, I am expecting a bare minimum of a 5/10, Im expecting a 6/10, and Id be happy with a 7/10. Lets look at that expectation of a 6, versus how people felt about it: On CageMatch, Adam Copeland vs. Matt Cardona has a 7.49/10 rating based on 162 reviews, with 11 people rating it as high as 9 out of 10, 78 rating it as high as 8/10 (myself included), 56 rating it as 7/10, 15 at 6/10, and 2 going as low as 5/10. The Wrestling Observer scored it at 3.75 stars, which equates to a 7.5/10. As you can see, I came in ready for a 5, expecting a 6, and walking away with an 8, and it took less than 15 minutes, which is awesome! (More on that later). So, the quality was surprising, but thats not where the surprise ended. The biggest surprise was that Cardona was in AEW! Cardona had not been in AEW since the pandemic era in Jacksonville in 2020, and had more recently been rumored to be appearing at WWE shows rather than AEW. So not only was there no expectation of a great match, but there was no expectation of Matt Cardona. Pleasant surprises are starting to stack up here. However, any wrestler not on AEW or ROHs MASSIVE roster pool would have been a surprise, but having it be someone of both Cardonas popularity and with this much history with Copeland were additional pleasant surprise! What else was surprising here was that this AEW crowd was well aware of who Cardona was, and what his relationship with Copeland was. Its been nearly 2 decades since these stars were closely linked, and it was in another promotion, so that cannot be taken for granted. The fans realized this wasnt just a surprise, this was a special relationship and therefore a special match. So as I just alluded to, this match was special - partly because of their pre-existing relationship, but it was also special because of Cardonas ring gear, and the attitude of the performers.Cardona came out in ring gear seemingly inspired by Copelands WrestleMania 22 match and feud with Mick Foley. Then you had the attitude the wrestlers approached the match with. Instead of just locking up, or rushing into punches, they stopped and soaked it in, giving the audience a chance to express their excitement, which helped to give it a special feel. Lastly, this match was efficient! This match reached that level of a great TV match in 13 minutes and 32 seconds of bell time, something I will always be appreciative of. A match should last long enough to achieve its desired goals, and no longer than that, so that you can spend more time featuring other stories and characters on a previously referenced overstuffed roster. This is not only generous to the rest of the roster in terms of allowing more TV time, but also in terms of warming up the audience with the first match, yet not leaving them drained to the point where you would dread following them. This created a fun and positive base of energy that FTR and The Infantry benefited from."

[] "Yes, i know i shouldn't judge this the same way i do other matches, i always knew what it was going to be. But still it didn't help with my enjoyment of this match, i was just bored to death at min 10 and still had to watch 30 min more... its just not for me"

[7.0] "Nice opening match. The feud was really not adequate, but the match was decent and the star power was enough to push this match into decent-to-good territory. I'm not as invested in Rhea Ripley as WWE is, her character work always makes me cringe a little but the in-ring stuff is on point at least."

[5.0] "Both these women are awesome, but they have no chemistry together. This shouldn't hurt Deeb, but I hope it doesn't result in Adora being taken off of TV."

[0.0] "This was always destined to be awful, i remember that tiktok making fun of AEW matches that some people said it was literally gonna be the usos match... and it was it really was like that. But also not even the promo package did anything for this match nor did the lil wayne entrance just wrestling, this really shows how bad wrestling can be at times"

[7.0] "Don't understand the hate for this match. It was slow but had good MMA psychology to it, which is the entire point of the Bloodsports shows. The story of Snow taking out Marina's knee but Marina using her martial arts skills to work around it was good. Snow losing because one kick caught her perfectly when she got too cocky was a real MMA finish. Wouldn't like it on a WWE or AEW show, but at Bloodsports? Heck yeah"

[2.0] "This was a match that geniually bored me most of the time, hated the diy dx shit, and the titles being separated made so many wrestlers look dumber than they already did in previous ladder mathces"

[6.0] "12 men is too much for a ladder match and it showed here. This card suffered very much the need to cram as many people as possible onto the card, and this match takes no exception, as it should have just been 4 teams battling for the belts. Maybe 5 too looking at the teams, but at least the New Day didn't need to be in there at all. The match was fun at times, this version of R-Truth is always endearing to watch and there were some nice spots with McDonagh and DIY (Ciampa and Gargano debuting at Wrestlemania was a nice story). It didn't engage me like ladder matches usually do though, and I felt like the potential of having four belts up for grabs was lost. The winners were right at least, and finally the tag titles are split."

[2.0] "Honestly? One of the worst matches I've seen recently. The wrestling itself wasn't bad, but the way this fight ended takes all the enjoyment out of it for me. Rey wins against Dominik Mysterio for the second time in a row and I'm tempted to say that he's burying Dominik's character. The fact that some random trash from another sport stepped in to help Rey made no sense at all. I also consider Carlito's lack of Heel turn to be a big minus .I bet that he will probably go through this heel turn sooner or later, but I would still prefer it on wm."
