One could complain about the "cheap" ending. But that's how it was supposed to be. This fight was the next stage of their rivalry, not the end, so the end of the fight couldn't be definitive."

Both men played their roles greatly with Bryan trying to prove that he's still the same Bryan of old and Miz trying to show that he can go toe to toe with Bryan. Bryan having a response for everything that Miz did, therefore Miz having to cheat for the win was a great ending and was perfect for this.***3/4"

[7.0] "Solid match between Bryan and Miz here which was certainly not at the level of their great Night Of Champions encounter which took place eight years earlier but which was still quite enjoyable to watch, however I have to admit that it was a little disappointing compared to the expectations because this rivalry was really fantastic. The promos between the two were great, there was a real storyline that we all know and their background together was perfectly explained in a very long video package that I love to watch sometimes because it's one of my favourites that this company has produced. So I remember there was a lot of hype for it three years ago and in the end it wasn't the great match we expected, but I don't want to be negative and I'd rather point to the fact that it was still qualitative. Not a big fan of the finish but that's understandable with Miz's gimmick and it allowed them to continue their feud afterwards, not a big fan of making it last more than twenty minutes either as it wasn't necessary. However the spot I loved here was when Miz kicks Bryan in the chest (who's kneeling) with the crowd chanting "NO" to each one, with Bryan no-selling them and coming back with a phenomenal return, that moment was excellent."

And rating this match only after watching that highlight package, I might be a little biased when saying my interest in this rivalry is still high and I think a bigger and better match can be pried out of them. Miz did his best to keep up and as evidenced in the past he is very capable of that. Daniel Bryan was in his zone and absolutely did his thing. Though not an impressive match by any measures, it's an entertaining one to say the least."

Bryan trying to prove he still can go, beating the hell out of the Miz with his pinpoint kicks. Nailing him surely in the chest, to the point of making Miz start to bleed. Miz wanting to prove he is better than Bryan, doing it his way. Trying to grind down Bryan and outsmart him. Had a nice old school feel to it. Good finish as well within the context of the feud. Miz vs Bryan was an incredible match. People can say it's slow, but it was never boring to me. Kept me engaged throughout and had some simple yet incredible storytelling. The only worry I had with the Miz if he could wrestle at a high standard and he proved that in this match. Bryan is still the best wrestler in the company and NO ONE can touch him, in my opinion. Awesome match, my WWE Match Of The Year. No doubt ****¼"

Miz got pummeled but also rose to the occasion and gave Bryan a hell of a good fight, anyone who sees this match and thinks Miz is not A grade material in the ring is someone I don't really get. The only thing this match was lacking was a not horrible crowd, for some reason they couldn't seem to muster enthusiasm for anything, but in my mind this was still a 10 caliber match and I think will be looked on even more favorably in the years to come."

[8.0] "The only match i watched from summerslam and i really enjoyed it, both guys worked much of the match about just wanting to punch the other repetitively instead of going for the win, I would have liked a little more intensity from both of them throughout the match as it only really picked up in that regard towards the end. there were a couple of cool callbacks such as the above mentioned Nigel lariat, Miz busting out the romero special first to show that he could wrestle technically too was great. Better still was that Bryan escaped it quite easily and put one of his own on. I liked that Miz tried ot prove a couple of times that he could stand with Bryan at Bryan's game before being beaten back by Bryan, But to gain the advantage he went back to his natural heelish 'soft' wrestling proving that it is a perfectly fine way of wrestling. Loved the finish with the knucks and that he hid them carefully when he first got them but when hit back out by bryan he let them be shown sligh? tl? y and all the front row saw them and reacted. The two major negatives to this match to me were 1. the crowd which for a match that i thought was hotly anticipated were a very poor crowd. 2. this was the first WWE match i have seen since the greatest royal rumble and the camera work and constant bickering commentary are so shit it was really off putting. I thought it was very good with great aspects in there but would have liked a little more intensity throughout the match for it to be an out and out great match and of course the crowd. ***3/4"

I see lots of complaints about the finish but in actuality it was a good move because now they can extend this feud even further! This match felt like 2 guys who had a personal vendetta against each other and in terms of overall in-ring quality it delivered. ****"

Soweit, so gut.

Great storytelling with both guys' characters inside the ring; Miz wanted to prove that he can hang with Bryan's rasslin', and Bryan had an answer & a way out of basically everything the man did, which of course then played into the finish perfectly with Miz having to cheat to get the W. The IT Kick hulk up & the slaps that followed were beautiful. ***3/4"

Miz just being Miz, starting off being a megalomanic prick trying to prove to everyone that he's better than Bryan, before actually realizing that he can't touch him in the ring, since Bryan is able to oppose everything Miz throws at him and on the offense, Bryan is really rough, so it has to conclude with Miz taking advantage of his wife's presence. I have nothing much to reproach here, just that Miz could have sold Bryan's hard kicks and chops in the chest with some more effort."
