Reigns came off with a controversial loss against Brock while Lashley was stagnating in the scene since his return to WWE. Both needed a change of trajectory and this was the perfect place to tune it. The pacing might've felt slow but didn't fail to entertain. Lashley took a few nasty bumps while Reigns gave arguably his best fight of the year here. During this period, Reigns eating a clean loss is a shocker and that was felt here as Lashley's win teased that he's the chosen one to reach the top but we know what happened. 4 out of 5 stars! |

It's interesting to see this match three years later, now they're the two most protected men in the company, they're both world champions and never lose, which was clearly not the case when they had this match. Reigns had a pretty poor 2018 year and Lashley didn't have any crazy momentum despite having just returned to the promotion a few months earlier. As a result the action was good but there was no real stakes or story, which kind of spoils my overall appreciation. They were fighting each other but we didn't know why because it started from nothing, however it was great for Lashley to take that win against the face of the company at that time. In fact, this was the last time Roman Reigns was pinned in a clean way, and that's something that will have to be emphasized if the two manage to meet again one day, which I hope because there's a chemistry to be developed. Maybe at this year's Survivor Series, why not. Anyway, this was match was still very cool for what it was. |

Natürlich konnte man hier unter den Big Men kein technisches Leckerbissen erwarten und wrestlerisch gibt es natürlich bessere. Jedoch sind 6 Punkte für diesen Kampf durchaus ausreichend und vielleicht setzen sie ja nochmal einen drauf mit einer Stipulation. ***1/4 |

Tatsächlich ist das Match für einen Kampf zwischen zwei Powehouses doch eine ziemlich seichte Angelegenheit ohne große Intensität. Das wird vor allem mit Blick auf den Brawl bei der Go-Home Raw Ausgabe vor dem PPV deutlich. Lashleys Bump aus dem Ring ist hier noch das Spektakulärste, was einem in Erinnerung bleibt. Auch im Nachhinein solltet man das Ergebnis des Matches nicht zu sehr überbewerten, denn das Raw-Booking der folgenden Wochen droht es wieder mal obsolet zu machen. **3/4 |
