[8.0] "Takeshita defends against the powerful giant Ishikawa. Well built sequences given the match a flow to the layout. The Fire Thunder Driver off the apron through a table looked disgusting."

He made a comeback after Shuji's first control segment and the match turned into a 50/50 back and forth contest and it was a good one. Takeshita's selling is preventing me from rating this higher. Shuji Ishikawa's performance was good in this match. 8/10"

"Ishikawa beats the hell out of Take. He muscles him around and beats him at will. Take has to use his speed, timing, and overall athletic ability to win back control. Unfortunately, Ishikawa is such a force he can dig himself out of any hole with one basic shot. In the end, Konosuke is too resilient and well-conditioned for Ishiwaka and in the end, his determination beats one of the only wrestlers I've seen to manhandle Konosuke in a match. Great match between these two both are fantastic wrestlers and I enjoy them both a lot."

[9.0] "This was an absolutely awesome main event. We have an incredible Takeshita who fought against a very vicious and stiff Shuji Ishikawa. Ishikawa was excellent, his counter of Takeshita's Springboard with a big fore arm was enormous. We also had some very good spots, the Piledriver on the table from the apron, that wasn't teased a lot, so I liked it a lot. Takeshita's final German Suplexes were also enormous. Such a great match to end a big show like this one. ****1/2"

I also pretty hard to concentrate on the match. the balance was not good anyway not bad match but wasnt a good match too"

Ishikawa is one of those guys, for me, personally, that I feel relies on the same tropes too much, but in his big matches like this one he always busts out something fresh and interesting. The crowd reaction for this show wasn't great, especially for a Ryogoku event, but they were loud for this match. ****1/4"

[8.0] "This was just an awesome main event. We didn't have to wait long before we got to the real meat of the match, as Ishikawa just began battering Takeshita and throwing him all around. Ishikawa began working over Takeshita's neck during this time, which would become a background element as Takeshita would occasionally sell the damage while performing his own moves. This was rightfully so though, since Ishikawa spent only a relatively short amount of time targeting Takeshita's neck and didn't go overkill, thus Takeshita's inconsistent selling made sense. Takeshita's real-time selling has always been great, and that was no exception here. His facial expressions displayed pain and distress very well, and his very energetic and acrobatic bumps added a lot to Ishikawa's already monstrous attacks. Takeshita would always stage some very exciting comebacks as he made great use of his large body to show off some great acrobatic attacks and of course his strikes and suplexes had fantastic impact too. I found it a bit ridiculous how Takeshita was able to survive so many consecutive big moves from Ishikawa, including his Splash Mountain finisher, but those moments where Ishikawa was totally destroying him only for Takeshita to somehow still show his fighting spirit and kick-out of all pin-falls was incredibly hype. It wasn't like Takeshita immediately jumped up and began responding with his own attacks either, since he instead sold his exhaustion and physical weakness very well. In the end Takeshita slowly began poking away at Ishikawa while slowly increasing the impact of his attacks, making for an enjoyable comeback as he gradually regained control and put the worn down Ishikawa away with dual german suplexes. Both men were great here, displaying strong impact and selling that led to some great drama in the second half and especially in the finishing stretch. ****"

I loved Shuji being extra stiff and dickish in this match against Takeshita, to the point I was actually worried about all the punishment Takeshita was taking. The latter wasn't just on defense the whole match though as he had some great moments as well. Though the winner was obvious, both guys still put on a very intense match that could've seen either man walk away with the gold, ****1/2."

[8.0] "Great match between these two. Konosuke Takeshita turned up in this match and played his role really well, I thought. Shuji Ishikawa was the star of the match though, stiff as hell, going all out to win the KO-D Openweight Titlte and beat Takeshita. I kinda wish Konosuke Takeshita didn't go all superman, kicking out of everything but oh well. (****)"
