Doc hitting a lariat while Shibata went for his Corner Dropkick was a nice spot to go along with all the other nice spots & sequences in this match. Overall, the match did what it was supposed to and gave Shibata & Goto a nice moment."
[7.0] "The match was a great surprise ! Goto & Shibata don't have the best chemistry but they managed to win that match by being coordinated, they don't feel like a real team but the combination of their individual talent was the key and they still match well because they know each other. ***1/2"

[6.0] "I feel that this match would definitely be better received considering the momentum that was behind Bullet Club at this point in time. If you strip that away, the match does suffer a little. Booking-wise, it was a great moment for Goto & Shibata to win the belts on the grand stage so I was very satisfied with that decision. The match itself is solid, there's no botches or boring moments, and the last few minutes especially are especially exciting. I'd score this match without letting the excitement of Shibata's title win affect it too heavily."

It's a shame that Goto and Shibata never got to really shine as a tag team because this was just a short look at what kind of destruction these two could deliver as a duo. Gallows and Anderson play great heels and kept up with Shibata and Goto the entire match. Nothing but 4 dudes beating the crap out of each other and I loved it! ***3/4"

Das Match war leider viel zu kurz, um hier etwas auf die Beine zu stellen, was den Menschen etwas länger im Kopf blebt. So war es nur ein kurzlebiges amüsantes Match mit einen tollen Schlussphase. *** 1/4"

Der Bullet Club dominiert gleich mal und die Beiden zeigen sich als gut eingespieltes Team. Sonderlich viel Aufbau hat das Match an sich nicht, es sind letztlich nur Moves, diese aber in sehr schönen Sequenzen. Das Match ist etwas kurz, aber sehr spaßig."

[8.0] "This was my first time seeing Anderson & Gallows team up, and honestly I was really impressed, I thought they did a great job. Goto & Shibata are always a pleasure and show great chemistry. This match really surpassed my expectations, though I wish it'd had a bit more time."
[7.0] "Auch hier ist es schade, dass bei WK9 zu viele wichtige Matches anstanden. Ich hätte beim Rematch des Tag League Finals gerne 5 bis 10 Minuten mehr gehabt. Denn was die 4 in den 9 Minuten zeigen ist wirklich gut. Anderson ist eh klasse, über Goto und Shibata braucht man eh kaum noch Worte verlieren, allerdings sollte man Doc Gallows nochmal lobend hervorheben. Er spielt die Rolle des Hünen hervorragend und zwingt Goto und Shibata dazu, etwas tiefer in die Trickkiste zu greifen. Wie gesagt, gutes Tag Match, das etwas mehr Zeit verdient hätte."

Gallows ist super eingesetzt als Riese und Anderson ist mittlerweile so gut, dass er in einer Sicherheit arbeitet und gutes Wrestling zeigt, dass es Spaß macht, ihm zuzusehen, 7 Punkte."
[6.0] "Für die Zeit war das Match absolut in Ordnung, aber auch nicht mehr. Gallows hat mich hier auch ziemlich überrascht, da sieht man wieder was es bringt wenn ein Big Man nach Japan geht. Die anderen haben ihr Standardmoves abgespult, was nicht unbedingt schlecht ist, da hier nicht viel mehr drin war und mit Gallows ist(noch) nicht mehr drin. ***1/4"

Der Bullet Club arbeitet hier hervoragend als Monster-Team gegen die bejubelten Japaner, die hier nicht nur ihre eigene sondern auch die Ehre von New Japan verteidigen wollen. Dies gelingt dann auch tatsächlich mit dem Titelgewinn. *** 3/4"

[6.0] "Nettes Match, das man sich gut angucken konnte und mir gefallen hat. Mir fällt, wenige Stunden nach dem Schauen, nichts ein, was besonders gut war, aber das war schon solides Tag Team-Wrestling und an der Stelle der Card ein passender Kampf."
[4.0] "Natürlich kein schlechtes Match, aber für eine absolute Empfehlung fehlte mir an mehreren Ecken etwas. Der Beginn war recht langsam, aber immer wieder mit harten Moves. Es dauerte aber nicht sehr lange bis die Tag Team Regel aufgehoben wurde, wodurch das Match sofort einiges an Dynamik und Tempo aufnahm. Insgesamt passte es zwischen den Wrestlern nicht immer, wobei ich hier besonders die Sequenz mit Goto und Anderson ausklammern möchte. Es fehlte hier die Spannung und unterm Strich war das Match auch leider zu kurz (**3/4)."

Ein sehr solides IWGP Tag Team Champioship Match da hab ich schon mehr erwartet bei diesen beiden Tag Teams. Ich bin sehr gespannt wie nun die Tag Team Titelregentschaft von Goto & Shibata werden"
[6.0] "Solid short tag team match, both couples displayed their best manuveurs and worked without substantial pauses. Gallows' typical giant heel gaijin no-selling annoyed me a bit, however, it was short lived. **3/4"
[7.0] "Hirooki Goto & Katsuyori Shibata defeated Champions Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson to become the new IWGP Tag Team champions. I felt that not only was this a tight little match for 9-minutes, but that it actually over delivered on the expectations that I had. I felt that it would be a fine, average match with the title change and that we’d move on. Gallows was really on tonight, Anderson is the glue of that team and continues to deliver and we see Shibata win his first title in NJPW. Goto and Shibata working together to win the titles is a great kick-start for Shibata’s 2015, as many have high hopes for him this year. This was the definition of maximizing your time and opportunity."
