[6.0] "A fine opener honestly isnt as good as their mania match from a month earlier. An average last man standing match. Given the limitations caused by wwe and their pg rules I was hoping these two would find some way to make this entertaining but I was pretty bored throughout most of this match. 3/5 average"
[5.0] "This match was fine, but it just didn't grip me to any degree. Last Man Standing matches are always slow, but none of the near-counts in this match felt like a plausible ending. The match was really just a lot of hitting with kendo sticks. Which gets old really fast if you're not using them creatively. There were definitely some fun spots, like the chair around Orton's neck, but I felt like that should have been a bigger deal than it was. Orton just kind of shrugged that off like anything else. All in all, this was a fine showing, but it was sort of disappointing. I was expecting more than I got. This one just kind of felt pretty standard."
[8.0] "For sure the most underappreciated match in both Punk & Orton's career. Really solid last man standing match that served as a nice crowd opener to set the tone foor the rest of the event."
[8.0] "In Punk echt so langer Karriere die er jetzt schon hatte. Ist dies hier das einzige Last Man Standing Match das er bis jetzt bestritten hat. Das ist schon schwer vorstellbar bei der Menge an Gimmick Matches die er schon hatte. Ein sau starker Opener (***3/4)."
[8.0] "Very good match if not as gripping and brutal as other last man standing matches. Punk removing the turnbuckle before the start of the match then having it pay off later with the slingshot in the corner was a nice touch. Some decent spots throughout like Orton getting flung into the post with the chair around his throat and Orton teasing the punt kick only to get GTS'd on the steel steps. Weird moment in the match where Punk goes for the GTS on the table, which makes no sense cuz Orton wouldn't make contact with the table, but it's only to set up an RKO counter. Speaking of RKOs, a killer top rope one by Orton keeps Punk down for the 10. ***3/4"
[9.0] "This is a great match with some great back and fourth action I think it is better then their mania match and holy cow cm punk get a lot of kendo stick shots. ****1/4"
[8.0] "About on the same level as their Wm match. Orton and Punk go back and forth here with some creative spots involving weapons. It's boring at times but it isn't too bad. Punk and Orton both had good offense and selling in this one. Don't think either man needed to get back up after two finishers, however.***3/4"
[7.0] "Really good, on the verge of being great. They lost me a little in the end, but the rest was some quality action. Lots of good stuff with the weapons and the crowd was into it from start to finish. I'd say this was right up there with the WM match. [***1/2]"
[8.0] "Very good match. Better than their Wrestlemania match. They had to work around the limitations of WWE hardcore matches and had a number of creative sequences involving the turnbuckles, chairs, stairs, and the announce table just offhand. The match may have gone a bit too long but that is a minor nitpick about a very good match."
[7.0] "This was a good match. I personally preferred this match to their WrestleMania match which I had already enjoyed, so it's all positive. They made good use of the stipulation by making good spots and taking some hard bumps, the crowd was receptive to everything they did and this was definitely a good way to start the show. I would like every opener to look like this because it's a perfect way to get the crowd in the mood. Everything was fun in this Last Man Standing and it's clear that Randy loved wearing impressive RKOs to Punk during their rivalry. Good stuff."
[5.0] "That was your standard WWE Face vs Heel Last Man Standing Match. Both did some good offense to one another and selled pretty good, the spots were cool like the RKO on the Table, the GTS on the Steel Step and that Avalanche RKO to end the match. Nothing too special but nothing too average. ***1/4"
[8.0] "Orton was the man in this match. His selling was consistently superb, his spurts of ultra aggressive offence were awesome and popped the crowd big time. He meshed well with Punk and his timing was great as per usual. Punk was good too. Punk hitting Orton with the kendo stick and then doing a star wars pose with the stick was great. If they match didn? t go over the top with both guys getting up before 10 after taking finishers, this would? ve been better. ***3/4"
[8.0] "War aufjedenfall ein gutes Last Men Standing Match. Die Nr. 1 Waffe in diesem Match war der Kendo Stick der immer wieder eingesetzt wurde und dazu gab es noch einige schöne Spots wie den RKO auf den Tisch, den GTS auf die Ringtreppe oder den Super RKO vom Top Rope. Dazu haben beide in ihren Rollen super Performed. Gerade Punk stach mit seinen Gestiken und Mimiken heraus als er Punk mit dem Stick zerstörte. ****"
[7.0] "Guter Opener mit übertriebener Stipulation. LMS-Matches finde ich der Neuzeit ähnluch unnütz wie HiaC-Matches. Ohne den Einsatz von Blut sind sie einfach im Vergleich zu früher deutlich unglaubwürdiger. Trotzdem machen die Beiden das Beste draus und liefern uns ein unterhaltsames Match mit einigen schönen Spots. Ging als Opener definitiv klar."
[6.0] "Das Match war sicherlich nicht schlecht. Geklickt hat es bei mir jedoch nicht so richtig. Irgendwie fand ich die Konstellation Orton vs. Punk nie sonderlich überzeugend."
[8.0] "This was excellent stuff from start to finish and while Punk continuously losing every single month (I believe it's been a year now since he last won a match on PPV) is starting to get old, losing to a guy like Orton doesn't damage him at all. This was their best encounter yet, a fun and well worked LMS match with some nice weapon use and a sick finish. ***¾"
[8.0] "Dieses Match hat die Auseinandersetzung der beiden Worker bei WM noch getoppt. Die harten Aktionen fehlten etwas, im Vergleich zu früheren LMS Matches wurde wenig Gegenstände eingesetzt. Das ist zwar Schade, macht das Match aber nicht unbedingt schlechter."
[7.0] "Was zunächst zu einer Kendo-Party zu verkommen scheint, ist dann nach hinten raus doch ein zumindest überzeugender Opener. Bei all den netten Spots und der doch ansprechenden Vorgeschichte kann ich trotzdem nicht darüber hinwegsehen, dass die Stipulation klar zu tief in die Effekthascherei-Trickkiste gegriffen ist - ein saftiges No DQ hätte es an dieser Stelle locker getan und man würde nicht den ehemals spektakulären Ruf eines LMS-Matches weiter verwässern. Beide geben sich Mühe, der Eifer ist nicht absprechbar und das ist ganz bestimmt keine schlechte Begegnung, trotzdem im Nachlauf für mich persönlich ein zu Orton-stereotypes und an dieser Stelle der Card dezent deplatziert wirkendes Grudge-Match."
[6.0] "Mäßiges LMS-Match, da es bis auf die Aktion mit dem Stuhl um Ortons Hals kaum wirklich harte Aktionen gab. Ansonsten wurde uninspiriert mit Kendo-Sticks und Stühlen aufeinander eingeprügelt und die Finishing-Moves abgefeuert. Da gab es selbst in der jüngeren Vergangenheit wesentlich bessere Last Man Standing-Matches innerhalb der WWE (z. B. Batista vs. John Cena, Edge vs. Kane, Jericho vs. HBK)."
[8.0] "Sehr starkes Match, das mir richtig gut gefallen hat. Mir haben die beiden schon bei Wrestlemania gefallen, hier gab es dann aber noch einmal eine Steigerung. Wurde bei Mania ein an sich solides Match durch das feine Storytelling aufgewertet, hat man hier ganz auf die Stipulation gesetzt. Und dieser Plan ist auch aufgegangen, beide wussten mit den gegebenen Möglichkeiten etwas anzufangen. An manchen Stellen etwas abgehackt und mit etwas zu wenig Tempo, insgesamt aber absolut sehenswert."
[8.0] "Das Match lebte von der Mimik und Gästik beider Teilnehmer. Punk und Orton war bei diesem Opener in absoluter Topform und zeigten ein interessantes Match. Es war intensiv, logisch und gut geführt. Zwar leider mit dem falschen Sieger, aber dennoch ein starker Beginn von Extreme Rules und absolut unterhaltend."
[7.0] "Das Match war als Opener gut gesetzt und konnte durchaus überzeugen. Punk darf doch stark mithalten und es gibt einige schöne Szenen. Am Ende ist man doch etwas frustriert, dass Orton wieder einmal in dieser Fehde gewinnt."
[9.0] "Was die heutigen Verhältnise von Brutalität in de Matchen ansgeht, ist alles voll ausgereizt. Die beiden ein Super zusammen im Ring und stellen noch mal ein Richtig Geiles Match auf die beine das Lust auf mehr gemacht hat. So müssen Last Man Standing Matche aussehen und um ehrlich zu sein müssen die nicht immer Brutal sein."
[7.0] "Nettes Last Man Standing Match von Orton und Punk die eine gewisse Chemie im Ring haben. Mir fehlte etwas der Objekteinsatz, bis auch der Kendo Stick war kaum was zu sehen. Besser als bei Wrestlemania XXVII!"
"OMG das bekommt 3 1/2* ? Ok, jetzt ist es klar. Ich komm mit der "Zeit" nicht mehr mit und kann mich nicht an den Entertaiment-PG-"Wrestling"-Bookingstil gewöhnen. Das wäre das letzte Match, welches ich mit 3 1/2* bewerten würde..."
[8.0] "Ein Opener mit Mainevent-Quali! Punk und Orton machen im Prinzip da weiter, wo sie bei WM aufgehört haben und liefern sich eine schön anzusehende Schlacht. Lange Zeit darf der Straght-Edge-Savior die Oberhand behalten, wirkt manchmal verzweifelt, dass die Viper nicht liegen bleiben will. Mit dem Kendostick-Massacre (das mich frappierend an das krasse I-Quit-Match von Orton und Cena erinnerte) und dem finalen Top-Rope-RKO kann sich Orton doch noch den Sieg sichern. Hervorheben möchte ich dabei noch Punks Leistung, der unglaublich sellt. Böse war unter anderem der Bump in den in der Ringecke eingeklemmten Stuhl. Echt genial. Hoffentlich bleibt er!"
