[7.0] "They both performed well in this match. Too bad that the time has run out even if it was the best way to give the win to Larry and to protect Hussein as a relevant menace at the same time."
[7.0] "I wasn't too keen on this at first, but thought it was decidedly better on a rewatch. I liked how this started out, with Zbyszko using his wits and skills to outmaneuver Hussein. Larry became slightly overconfident in the opening, and Arab used that to his advantage, sidestepping him as he ran the ropes and sending him to the outside. Hussein assaulted him on the floor to tease a count-out, but Larry made it back in. This slowed down once Sheik took over with his wear-down holds, although the struggle was always there, and Sheik's cut-offs to Larry's hope spots were timed very well. Larry Z's eventual comeback was awesome. I loved when he took Hussein outside for a beatdown as revenge for earlier. They did a lot of back and forth for 1980 in the finishing stretch before the time limit abruptly expired. A couple of moments in the match dragged due to them killing time for the draw, but I enjoyed the work done by both men. This was a good match, with a poor finish. [***1/2]"
