[6.0] "A fine match where you don't get bored. I don't know well the build-up to this match but it doesn't totally affect its watching. Styles taking several great bumps is to notice. Also, what did they do with Joe's attire ? Like "Samoa Joe" isn't Samoan enough, really ugly attire. And for the finish, it's the easiest way they could find to make Joe enter de Main Event Mafia."

[6.0] "Though the match was pretty entertaining, the ending was really dumb and made no sense. I have no idea why Joe would give up the world title like that. Foley was great and put in probably the best performance of his TNA run."

[6.0] "Fine match with a truly terrible ending. Vince Russo was the worst thing to happen to Samoa Joe. Took him from an undefeated monster to whatever this Joe was that was swerving people to help out one of his main rivals in TNA. A very terrible swerve for the sake of a swerve. AJ was working hard in this and Foley did a little more than he usually would in his matches in TNA. The result really taints this match for me in what would be an otherwise fine match."

[7.0] "The match is very good, I like the rules of the King of the Mountain, they were easy to understand for my first time with this type of match. The ending didn't disturb me, and the in ring was very good, especially thanks to Joe and Styles who were awesome. ***3/4"

[8.0] "Geile Idee zu Beginn mit Joe und Angle. Und hier merkt man auch den krassen Unterschied zwischen Opener und Main Event, 2 Total verschiedene King of the Mountain Matches die beide zu gefallen wissen. Hier ist eben viel mehr Härte und Strategie dahinter, eher weniger Spots. Aber wirklich auch eine knapp gute Umsetzung, ich hätte mir einfach noch mehr kranke Spots gewünscht. Und obwohl ich das Ergebnis wusste, dachte ich schon, AJ würde den Titel gewinnen, 8/10."

[8.0] "Richtig starkes Match, dessen Spots im Kontrast zu der X-Division-Version der Matchart am selben Abend auch glaubwürdig wirken. Joes Turn am Ende ist ein schön gemachter Schlussschocker, aber mit dem Wissen, dass der am Ende kommt, ist Joes Handeln in dem Match an zwei, drei Stellen nicht stimmig - nicht die zum Masterplan gehörende DQ-Attacke auf Angle, aber die paarmal, wo er mit dem Gürtel die Leiter erklimmt, ohne dass Kurt in der Nähe ist, was ihn ja letztlich nur in Gefahr bringt."
