Huge fight feel build, good wrestling and great ending to a long term story. Edge wasn't the coward heel here, while he often did take a few cheapshots, this wasn't the ultimate opportunist we were used to, this was an almost deranged man who was willing to put his body through hell to beat the Undertaker and I absolutely loved it. To see a different version of Edge against the Deadman here was a novel idea. The stakes were high here and the importance of it could be felt throughout the match. The match did drag a few times which I didn't like but this match was story above everything and in that department, they did a splendid job. ****1/4 |

That's why modern HIAC are usually better then the first ones: matches like Shawn vs Taker are bloody war full of psichology and perhaps zero weapons used; instead, matches like this one are spots after spots and I genuinely prefer them to the first ones. To me, best HIAC ever; that is kinda fun considering that it didn't have blood or all kinds of barbed wire or thumbtacks. ***** |

Both guys gave a good effort but this had too many flaws to be a classic in my book. |

There was an intensity from the start, especially for Edge, who looked like a million bucks throughout the match. The big moves were well timed and I didn't find my attention waning or being diverted at any point. I'm not going to recount all the details and key moments, I could do that all day, but just know that it was brutal, it was smart, it was amazing. It was a mix of Edge's extreme style and Undertaker's destructive style. This is one of the best Hell in a Cell matches in history, one of the best matches in SummerSlam history, Edge's career, and in my eyes, Taker's best from the PPV of the summer. |

A great way to cap off the feud of the year with Edge getting chokeslammed through the ring as well (and a big load of fire, too). This might be the best Hell in a Cell match, right after the ones Taker had against Mankind and Shawn Michaels. |

The high spots really get into full gear after Edge spears Taker through the cell and afterwards, we also get a spear through the table. The ending where Undertaker gets revenge that Edge did to him by sending him through two tables, hitting the spear, hitting him with the camera and the conchair to was awesome, a perfect way to end the feud.****1/2 |
