111.03.2024benny5bellys5.0Commentary tell us it would shake the foundations of the Kremlin if the Russians lost tonight. Who knew the US tag belts were so important huh? If you ignore the fact this was no DQ but wrestled exactly like a normal tag match until Dutch got the whip out then this was pretty decent. The Russians win so Gorbachev can sleep easy.

329.12.2023HFDC995.0Decent tag team match. This is a no DQ match but the referee seems to struggle with the concept as he keeps giving the wrestlers 5 counts and telling them to leave the ring. Dumb referee aside, this is a fun brawl that breaks with traditional tag team structure. There's no real heel heat section, aside from a short one with Dutch, as the match revolves around quick tags by both teams for its entirety. The no DQ stipulation finally comes into play when the Russians get the chain and Mantel gets the whip, the finish comes when the Russians use say chain on Bobby Jaggers. Decent brawl with an annoying referee and mainly pointless no DQ stipulation

1001.09.2023Arnold Furious2.0A dumb match where two sets of wrestlers, and a referee, struggle with the concept of a no DQ match where anything goes. Scrappy McGowan was constantly interfering, when he should have just stood off and let the match flow. The wrestlers don't even bother attempting to break the rules, of which there are none, until the finish. A massive missed opportunity and a dumb as rocks match.

1216.07.2023Rjepic12.0I didn't like this one. Couldn't get into this. I was more intrigued by the amount of hair on Dutch than the match itself which is really not a good thing.

1830.01.2023Makai Club 6.0Bobby Jaggers is such a Dusty Rhodes wannabe (more his look than personality). Its embarrassing. The match, at least, bucks the typical tag team structure, which is nice every now again. There was emphasis on solid, stiff action with quick tags. The Russians led the match with the wise Ivan Koloff at the helm but Dutch Mantell is capable of dealing with the Russians, and Jaggers gets in his fair share of wrestling. The Russians retain using the chain to beat the Jayhawks behind the refs back. That does bring to question what No DQ means but I can accept it being too much for the era. Good match. Best match up to this point of the show. ***
1927.12.2022KingsCrossing4.0The amount of hair on Dutch Mantel's body was the most interesting part of this. It wasn't bad as such - just a bit of a plodding brawl. The No DQ stipulation didn't really seem to mean anything, it looked pretty much the same as any other match up until the finish. I think you can pretty safely skip this one.

2130.05.2022cactus6.0This is No DQ, but don't expect them to bring out the furniture. The rule is mainly just in place so these guys can beat the piss out of each other without them burying the referee. Looking at all the guys in this, it should come as no surprise that the action here was super rugged. All the striking and mat-wrestling here was Clint Eastwood level of manly. Everyone uses quick tags and the pace is quick throughout. The heels gain control after Kruschev trips a fired-up Mantel and Koloff lands a knee. Koloff then throws him outside and drops his leg over the barricade. Mantel counters a double clothesline attempt and knocks both his opponents on their arses, before making the hot tag to Jaggers. All chaos breaks loose as all four guys brawl in the ring. Jaggers brings his whip into the ring and whips both men. Kruschev escapes the ring and grabs his chain and nails a distracted Jaggers with it to end the match.

3021.11.2020JokerDeSilva5.0A somewhat clumsy match, and a sluggish brawl for the most part. Nothing terrible, but it was your fairly standard 80s NWA slugfest, and not the especially good kind, so definitely nothing to write home about. Always fun seeing Dutch Mantel, though, so that was nice at least, even if it was in a losing effort.

3212.09.2020cmpunk5.0In ring action was fine however no disqualification tag team matches make little sense and even less so in this match with the referee enforcing all types of rules none more silly then the tagging in rule. Decent match but a little sloppy
3306.05.2020MRN6.0Pretty good, snug wrestling from Mantel and Koloff to start things off. Mostly action, although Krusschev on offense kinda slowed things down. Cliche finish, a sign of the times.
