[6.0] "A decent six-man tag team match that doesn't go above and beyond but sits restfully on the card as a nice one. [***]"

[6.0] "Scott Hall with the all-time greatest porn stache. Greg Gagne looking like an insurance salesman playing paintball out in the woods, and baby Curt Hennig teaming up against old guys Nick Bockwinkel, Larry Zbyszko, and Ray Stevens. This old ring announcer rambles on and on before the match begins. I was hoping someone would attack him, but they didn't. The match itself is okay, nothing to write home about. The babyfaces win and the crowd approves."

[5.0] "This is a really neat match to view through the lens of 2022. The heels, Bockwinkel, Stevens, and Zbyszko, all came prepared with cocky attitude and swagger as they look to face a relatively inexperienced team, especially in comparison. Hennig, in particular, does a great job here in his backyard of Minnesota. He is the legal man for his team for almost the entire duration of the match, which is a bit of a detriment to the booking (but not the performer). Nothing particular of note really happens here, and I was particularly unimpressed by Gagne's offense, but it is interesting to see how much stock the AWA was willing to put into Scott Hall at this time. This is quite the marquee position for someone who has been wrestling less than a year. Nonetheless, his potential is plain and clear."

[5.0] "I definitely preferred this to the AJPW vs Long Riders/Race six-man earlier in the show, which as of writing is the only other SuperClash match I've seen. Hennig looks the best of his team, like a future star; the others are alright, but in my first exposure to "Big"-era Scott Hall I was struck by how bland he was in the role. As far as the older heel team goes, this mostly feels like a showcase for Zbyszko; Bockwinkel is good as always, but I don't think Stevens actually tags in once. Well, he takes the fall, but I don't think he was the legal man (ditto for Hall, who pinned him). That knocks it down, but I found a good amount to enjoy here. The countout tease spot where the heels relish in putting Hennig's ass back down on the grass of Kominsky Park amused me. **3/4"
