613.02.2024Rjepic15.0Mr. Perfect worked his ass off and actually got a relatively adequate match out of Mr. Hughes here. Mr. Hughes even took a couple big bumps, including a big armdrag. Mr. Perfect picks up the win and will move on to face Bret Hart in the semi-finals.

1430.09.2023Wieczus5.0I was actually invested in this because of both guys' bumps that were fantastic. Perfect used his speed and agility and when he was able to put the bigger guy down it looked great. A little botch in the middle but nothing spectacular and the finish was anticlimactic but overall it was pretty decent.
1525.09.2023CallsRevenge4.0It was an OK match, there was nothing egregious about Hughes other than a botch late on what might have been a spinebuster or backdrop...I don't know what it was supposed to be. Positives, Hughes moved very well for his size (kind of like Bossman) and took some bumps well (took a pretty good looking backdrop near the end of the match). But his strikes didn't look that great even though Perfect made them look devastating. Of course, all of Perfect's stuff looked crisp and generally great. Again, adequate match, DQ to try and protect Hughes as they did frequently with bigger guys they thought had some potential in this era.

1909.06.2023Tomas Cunha2.0This was extremely dull. Looked like Perfect kept trying to take it to the next level but Hughes wasn't able to follow it. The cold DQ finish with Hughes using the urn out of nowhere was the cherry on top of this crap cake. [1/2*]

2111.03.2023OnlyHalfTheEffinShow5.0Hennig bumped his ass off for Hughes here, who's offense was really nothing to write home about. Match was decent for what it was worth, but did Mr. perfect really need to win by *DQ* against Mr. Friggin Hughes of all people'

2303.09.2022weredet434.0An average match, which for the most part was carried by Mr Perfect, but I would like to commend Mr Hughes, you could see he was trying to take his opponent's moves well, although it looked comical at times. I think the winner was the right one, because otherwise the semi-final match wouldn't have been very cool.
2428.08.2022Wrestlingfan3.0A weak match because Mr Hughes wasn't very good, but at least the right guy won. Perfect did a nice job of selling Hughes' offense. Lame finish with the DQ ending. (*1/2)
2526.04.2022Giantfan19802.0First and only time that I have seen two guys facing each other that started their ring names with Mr. This was the first of Hughes sporadic WWF appearances. Don't know why anyone liked the guy, he would show up for a cup of coffee then be gone within weeks. Harvey brought Hughes in to help Gonzalez steal the urn from The Undertaker And Paul Bearer. Never went anywhere as Hughes/Taker never even got into the ring for a payoff. Hughes uses power and knocks Perfect around for a few minutes, then Mr P takes him down with an arm drag that looked like Hughes was doing all the work, and Perfect tries the standing dropkick but to no effect. Hughes punches Perfect over the top and out. Perfect fights back and eats shoe on a charge. Hughes goes to the chin lock. Goofy body press follows and some chocking. Hughes gets crotched on the top rope and it's time for Mr Perfect! Perfect with a hip toss and a backdrop then the neck snap but Hughes gets pissed and clocks Perfect with the urn for the lame DQ. I would think Hennig was one of the few guys who could get a good match out of a slug by Mr Hughes but the match sucked. Mr Hughes whole image was big imobile no selling guy who needs better workers to bounce off him.
2614.03.2022rishabh4.0The match was obviously carried by Mr. Perfect who did excellent bumping all around but Mr. Hughes did a better job than expected. Fine match with a stupid DQ ending. [**]

3627.02.2021Mudshow Idol5.0Better than I expected and truthfully not too bad. Hughes showed some impressive flashes of agility but it doesn't amount to much as his cardio can't sustain it. Good work by Perfect to carry it even if some of his overselling had me laughing at times.
Restholds, Brawl, dann Comeback. Alles konventionell, aber nicht besonders innovativ.
4019.10.2020Mizzle Assault Ant7.0I actually found this to be fairly good, in part I'm sure because I think Mr Perfect is always great but also because I find Hughes sort of fascinating. He's not exactly great but he's big and more than a bit weird, with the attire and the attitude. Eh, I enjoyed it.
