| 1 | 14.09.2020 | KinchStalker | 5.0 | The contemporaneous broadcast clips out the first six minutes of this match, which is a defense of Ishikawa and Sato's All Asia Tag Titles. Ishikawa has really moved up in the world with his work in the AJPW/Ishingun tags, so unlike how it was in the footage of their All Asia title matches from years previous, Sato is now the second fiddle of the two. This is a solidly worked bout for the midcard tag titles. Ishikawa is great. Animal's getting up there at this point, but he can still deliver, and Teranishi is a consummate professional that it's nice to see more of after a long gap in substantial footage of him between January and July. For the finish, Animal has Sato in the airplane spin and Ishikawa lariats them to make the save, but what he ends up doing is sending both of them out of the ring. Teranishi takes the opportunity to throw him out of the other side of the ring, and indeed, Animal capitalizes by making sure he gets back in, but Sato doesn't. As countout finishes were a valid means of change at this point, Animal and Teranishi are your new All Asia Tag champions. Seven months into the year that their work has defined, Ishingun have finally claimed some titles of their own. **3/4 |
