[7.0] "A good match to end this first show. Bryan was able to show some nice things in a short space of time without making the champion look weak. The countered dive spot on the commentators' table was definitely the highlight of this match. Match seen on the WWE Network. 6.5/10"

[6.0] "A pretty good match. It was strange to see Daniel Bryan without a beard and with short hair, he really looked like a wrestler still looking for a gimmick. Anyway, he was already very good at this point. And clearly, the part where he takes the commentators' table right in the ribs shows that wrestling isn't fake. [***]"
[7.0] "A fun short match. I think everyone, can appreciate Jericho giving Bryan some moments, and a lot of offence even though he is the WHC. The performance is dynamic enough, the chemistry is all there. Again, respect for pushing a newbie a little over. A couple of interesting things watching Bryan, and seeing that his style has not changed much from this match. It got better sure, but watching this match is like watching Bryan later matches, so you can see that this is where the legend is born."
[6.0] "Seriously fun but got absolutely zero time. Given 10-15 minutes to breathe this would 10, 000% have gotten an 8, perhaps even a 9. Bryan shows off his brilliance on WWE TV for the first time, and Chris Jericho is a great dance partner for this kind of encounter. I love the way they build the show around Bryan initially."

Great sequences, good counters, in general a perfect showcase for Daniel Bryan who was able to show in a short time what he could do in his WWE debut. I wish it could have lasted longer but I can understand the logic of the time which was that a NXT rookie couldn't hold out very long against the WWE World Heavyweight Champion and one of the top stars of the company. This was still a competitive bout and I loved it."
[5.0] "Daniel Brian's debut in WWE was successful and the opponent was suitable for such a goal. For a little over 5 minutes, they fit the maximum number of sequences and it was extremely pleasant to look at it."
