[6.0] "It was a short, but simple 8 man tag team match that highlighted Rob Van Dam and Sabu more the less because they were the hometown boys at this Mania, and because they were both trained by The Original Sheik who was honored in to the hall of fame the night before. Sabu shined early on Striker, Sandman got his two offensive moves in, New Breed got the heat on Tommy Dreamer which made sense since he's the "heart and soul" of the original ECW / consumate babyface, and then RVD came in off the hot tag to take the thing home in short fashion."

RVD comes in at the end for the win, and RVD doesn't do much for the entire match. No wonder WWE ECW was pretty much a disaster from Day 1, they did try and fix it in the final years but by that point no one was watching it."

Greatest hits from the OG side and awesome tag wrestling from the New Breed side. The story of the night continues on though as they had better matches. ***"

[4.0] "The last dying fart of the original ECW in the WWE's bastardization of the brand. The Originals pick up the win in a nothing tag match. The New Breed looked like complete jabronis here, but there is only so much you can do when you're in a stable with a vampire named Kevin. Matt Striker shows off his bumping ability by getting some serious air from an RVD monkey flip. Sabu and Sandman make their sole Wrestlemania appearance and they miraculously don't botch anything, with the exception of Sabu nearly landing on his head during a dive. They would have an Extreme Rules rematch on ECW a few weeks later, which was much more of an entertaining watch and the right team went over."

The crowd was a little flat (it followed a world title change! ) but the crowd still loves RVD. The New Breed showed so much promise at this time and did the right thing in putting over the originals (who returned the favour on TV the following week in a much better match)."
