But the match itself was pretty good - it was full of bells and whistles, but they used Austin as referee better than his other WrestleMania referee outings, they let Lashley and Umaga do big-man stuff very well and show their athleticism, and wisely hid Trump as much as possible."

But I will always enjoy watching Umaga in the ring, he was super athletic and a joy to watch imo. Would it have been better to have a straight 1v1 between Umaga and Lashley without everything else around it? Yes, but even with all the filler, it still had a lot of fun moments and good wrestling."

Neither on my first watch or on the rewatch for the ratings. Trump being there doesn't help either. Not awful but skip it anyways"

Trump's clothesline to Vince is funny, but Vince getting shaved just took way too long and everything distracts from the men in the ring, who are an afterthought. Still, it wasn't bad or anything, just typical Vince putting celebrities first and his talent second."

Just look at Vince? s facial expressions while he is getting his head shaved. Even trump taking one of the worst stunners ever is still funny."

[7.0] "Hey I do like me some Sports Entertainment every now and again, and this is Sports Entertainment. The story of Umaga's power vs. Lashley's strength is pretty good, but they don't exactly put on a wrestling clinic. What makes this match receive a positive rating for me is how overbooked it is. Austin's involvement is good, and Shane showing up is great just to tease that Umaga will win. Seeing Donald Trump beat up Vince McMahon was also hilarious. The more eyes on wrestling the better, and this did make wrestling mainstream for a while and was one of the reasons this Mania got a big buyrate."

[6.0] "One of the most financially successful matches ever, this is downright bizarre to see after Trump got elected. Trump struggles to get the fans behind him, despite him literally giving the fans real money as he makes his entrance. Vince felt like a caricature of himself by this point. The wrestlers in this are treated as complete afterthoughts. Lashley and Umaga both miss dives to the outside and the sound their bodies made when they hit the ground was sickening, but that's everything of note that they did during the entirety of this segment. There's enough bullshit to pad this out, such as seeing Vince and Austin interreact again and the constant interference stopped this from becoming boring."
